Introduce your business and what you do there.
I'm the founder and CEO of Power Press Media Inc, a small business of fewer than 10 employees. We're a media organization that produces websites for journalism and hosts parties and events.
OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE
What challenge were you trying to address with E Software Solutions?
We're building a new CRM solution called the Power Press Portal for our customers. While creating this solution, we worked with another development team. However, we knew they were never going to get us across the finish line because they were slow and inefficient, and they didn’t quite understand what we were building. As a result, we looked for another development partner to build this SaaS product.
SOLUTION
What was the scope of their involvement?
E Software Solutions provides the full range of development services that we need from UI/UX and graphic design to development and programming. To kickstart the project, I’ve provided them the database I’ve been developing. This database is the core of the project, and it’s in a Google Sheet containing six months’ worth of data. I’ve also worked with an external design team to give E Software a UI design that they could take and run with.
To develop this portal, they’ve used PHP, MySQL, Apache web server, Figma, and other tech stacks. They’ve also been providing data entry services for us. To sum up, the team provides full stack development services that cover everything I need to produce an interactive website and an online forum to sell our SaaS product.
What is the team composition?
I work with Vishal (CEO), who serves as the project manager, and he works with a variety of people from his team.
How did you come to work with E Software Solutions?
I found them through a referral from a friend in my business network who has been working with Vishal and E Software for about 10 years. Before we started, I gave them a sample project, which they completed quickly and efficiently. After that, we decided to move forward with this engagement.
What is the status of this engagement?
We started working with them in January 2021, and the partnership is ongoing.
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
Everything has gone smoothly and seamlessly. It’s been a rapid development process at a good cost, and the finished product looks great. The project itself is not done yet, and we’re going to continue developing this product for the next year and a half. Phase one is done, and we’re working on phase two, which already looks great.
Overall, E Software Solutions is a top-notch company, and the quality of their services is second to none. My customers are impressed, and I’m already making sales. As a result, I anticipate working with them for many years to come.
How did E Software Solutions perform from a project management standpoint?
Vishal manages everything smoothly and seamlessly, and I’ve never had to interface with anyone else. When we engaged with another provider, I had to work with 5–6 people and coordinate the communication — it was a mess. By contrast, our communication with E Software has been great. Vishal is available for me any time that I need him, and he keeps everything organized for me.
We mainly communicate via Google Meet and Hangouts, but we also sometimes use Zoom to communicate face-to-face via teleconferencing. We’ve exchanged a few emails, too. I keep things in a Google Sheet so it’s easy for me to track the project, while Vishal uses Trello.
What did you find most impressive about them?
The E Software Solutions team works quickly and efficiently — that’s the best part of working with them. Their communication and understanding of the project are great, too.
Are there any areas they could improve?
No, there aren’t any.

Most people who want to create websites don’t know what they really want. As a result, to get the most out of your engagement with E Software Solutions, make sure that you know what you want, and don’t settle for a rough idea of how you want the team to do things.

E Software Solutions was hired to build an app for a join venture that we have with our partners in the agriculture research sector. The goal was to deliver a mobile application to address the data capture requirements of various aquaponics systems that have been placed in the field by our sponsors.
SOLUTION
How did you select E Software Solutions and what were the deciding factors?
Our top reason for selecting them was the ease of communication with their project manager. Language can often be a problem when working with global team but we found that their English was brilliant and their ability to grasp the concepts and understand our requirements was excellent.
The 2nd big reason was that they shared our excitement about the potential of the project to change peoples live for the better. To me this just tipped the scales in such a way that we did not even consider anybody else from that point onwards.

There are a number of data points that allow the mentors to engage with the farmers to assist them with optimizing the production of each system.
The key deliverables were the mobile app as well as the admin backend. They two systems had to work off a shared database and allow for the changes made by the admins to be automatically updated to the mobile devices. We decided to use Flutter and MySQL as the core technology stack for delivering this project.

We worked predominantly with 3 members of their team, a project manager, a test lead and the development lead.
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?
E Software build a mobile app that not only allowed the farmers to capture the data but also allowed us to be able to configure the training resources provided to the farmers via the platform.
The system is live on the app store and is currently being rolled out to all our farmers across the country and surrounding regions in sub-Saharan Africa.

We found that they adapted their management style to align with our implementation of the agile methodology which made the process flow really well. They made suggestions every step of the way when they felt that there was a better or simpler way to achieve our goals which really helps when you are working with diverse teams of people.
If you are a non-technical customer they really have the experience to provide what you need. For us it was great that they were willing to work with our way of doing things as well.
What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
I think that the speed at which they were able to understand our requirements and deliver what we asked for first time with only minor changes was excellent. Also their excitement about the project really helps us communicate freely.
Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?
Not really. We were so happy with how well we worked together that we a appointed them to build one of our flagship products that we hope to bring to market soon.
