Onefarm is a retailer of farming products and machinery.

For what projects/services did your company hire Double Yolk, and what were your goals?

Onefarm required a new website to showcase products and enable customers to purchase online.

SOLUTION

How did you select Double Yolk and what were the deciding factors?

Double Yolk provided a great value product/service which ticked all boxes. Whilst working through the DD process with Double Yolk it became apparent that Jack and his team were thought leaders, great communicators and top level executors on their vision. On balance, no one could compete with the Double Yolk way.

Describe the scope of work in detail, including the project steps, key deliverables, and technologies used.

We started with a meeting in Auckland to discuss the Onefarm business model, customer base and our digital aspirations. Soon after, upon committing to Double Yolk, we discussed what we wanted to offer our target market and how we could bring it to life through thoughtful design and a fluid UX flow.

Given the ecommerce requirement, Shopify was selected as the tool of choice. From here we discussed how Onefarm would benefit from Shopify and how it would partner our aspirations. Through a range of design rounds, we landed on a solid concept that was subsequently actioned by Jacks development team.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

Key measurable outcomes revolved around showcasing our product range, creating a streamlined eCommerce offering, and nailing a product information page for our higher-value products. All of which were executed successfully through a range of testing and external feedback.

Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timelines.

Communication through Jack was bang on. Jack was very capable of overseeing our project from the design and development standpoint, all while providing great ideas and perspectives which helped shape the end result. The key here was Jacks's ability to understand our vision and partner us to deliver on that vision with a range of key considerations generated through Jacks's well-rounded experience building SME sites.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

A true ability to partner for value. I wouldn't consider our relationship with Double Yolk a web development relationship but more of a long term business partnership. By no means are we done with Double Yolk! We've only completed step one of our journey.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

Going forward, a shared/dynamic project management board with key dates/deliverables would make it easy to understand where things are at for all stakeholders.

UniSports Orthopaedics are a sports medicine centre that are focused on the management and treatment of sports and musculoskeletal injuries. My roles is business development manager

For what projects/services did your company hire Double Yolk, and what were your goals?

UniSports previously had solely relied on word of mouth for business advertising and had very poor web presence. We went to the team at Double Yolk wanting a new interactive website that incorporated a high degree of key information for patients, the ability to host video based rehabilitation programs and was easy to navigate.

Further we wanted advise on how to enhancing the branding of UniSports through carrying changes from our website through to business cards and video bios

How did you select Double Yolk and what were the deciding factors?

Double Yolk was one of a number of developers we approached. We really liked they way they took time to understand our brief and needs and provided a detail breakdown of their plan before being engaged for the project.

The team was also highly personable and professional in all interactions

We started with the redesign of our logo and business cards in time for an upcoming move of clinic. We then started a 2 weeks design process with a number of checks ins and progress updates.

From here the team started the development of the site which took 3 weeks and provided update every couple of days

We had 3 key points of contact. Jack the founder Ella the designer Vatsal the project manager Each was fantastic to deal with and extremely timely with replying to messages or questions

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

The feedback from all partners in the business has been how impressed they are with the end result. We have had a number of patients comment on how easy the website is to use and how professional it presents

the project management style was highly effective, at every stage of the project we understood what was required for us to provide and the team kept us update with scheduled meetings for reviews and brief email update every few days or as needed

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

We had a number of small issues from our end that caused a number of altercations to the site or changes in the way we needed it to work, at no stage was this a hassle to the team and they always had a solution to any issues we encountered.

Further they where able to explain things in a way that meant we were able to understand and were very timely with all questions we had

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

No Changes at all they were fantastic to deal with and delivered a great product
