BACKGROUND

Please describe your company and your position there.

I am the owner of three businesses. My core business is www.proresplus.com. We are one of the top resume writing / job search content companies in the world. The second business which has not yet been launched as such is www.allinjobsearch.com - it will be a subscription model education/training/motivation aspect of job search - the how to. The third is www.buildingwardmelvillelacrosse.com - the website which will promote my book which will come out in fall 2023 - my third book.

For what projects/services did your company hire Donstudio, and what were your goals?

Don and his business Donstudio were introduced to me in the summer of 2021 by a long-time friend and vendor in whose judgment I have complete confidence. I had previously had a longstanding and very disappointing relationship with another developer. Good quality of work - but virtually impossible to get a hold of and even harder to get work completed in anything close to a timely manner. I am engaging Don and his team on a three website package.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

Primarily on the extremely strong recommendation from a friend of 20 years who also serves as my "go to" technology advisor.

He completed the first part of the exercise brilliantly - upgrading my existing core business website - bringing it to an entirely new level of presentation, mobile-friendliness and functionality. He has developed the first draft of the website which will promote my third book. The third site will be an e-commerce site to monetize the intellectual property I have from more than a third of a century in my field.

My main communication is with Don. I do not know or interrogate him about who and how many team members work on my projects

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

in 2022 we had the best year in the 33 year history of Professional Resume Plus, LLC - accomplished while also moving the business from its location of 33 years to a new site approximately 45 miles away into an entirely new geodemographic. Given the amount of time and resources needed for the move - this is a significant success.

No amount of praise for Don and his team would be excessive. They have been brilliant, strategic and supportive. Don did very deep dives in the consultative aspect of the process. He wants to really learn what my objectives are, what my unique value is to the audience, and what we can do to differentiate ourselves from the competition. To me, perhaps most of all, the responsiveness from he and his team are superb - world class level.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

We were impressed with their ability to grasp my vision and translate it into powerful, easy to use technology tools and resources.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

I spent several minutes on this - can't think of a thing. Oh yeah there is one thing. He - and you - should inform potential referring clients ahead of time how aggressive, obnoxious and "referrer-unfriendly" clutch is. I have left multiple forms of online praise for Donstudio. This one felt like getting 5 or 6 teeth pullled without the novocain.

I had a self-created website which was not serving my needs, so I contacted Donstudio. Don created a new, dynamic site that looks professional and provides readers the ability to access and respond to my writing.

I searched online using sites such as guru.com and flivver. Don responded personally and immediately had ideas on how to better promote my book.

Working via email and phone conversations, Don set up Google and Facebook advertising, provided creative ideas for ads, and designed my website. He worked within my budget and I felt he truly cared about my project.

Book sales and interest in the book were up, but mainly I have a webpage I am proud of and interaction with readers increased.

Don kept me updated on the progress of the site and explained in detail what he was doing. I was involved in decisions and the creative aspect of the ads and site. Don responded quickly to questions or concerns.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

I was impressed with the personal attention I received since I was not a large corporation nor did I have a huge bankroll to put towards the project. I received lots of compliments on the website.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

I feel that my author site was not in Donstudio’s normal project range, but he worked well with me and we both learned through the experience.
