I really cannot identify areas for improvement. As a service provider they're highly efficient, knowledgeable, and at the forefront of best practice. I would use Digital Thing again without hesitate and recommend them to someone who is looking for a web designer who is highly professional, relatable, easy to deal with, and who delivers high quality work.

Chris and the team at Digital Thing designed and have maintained the Challenge Bathurst website for 3 years. I’m very pleased with the design, functionality, and presentation. It just works, and there’s very little required in time and money to keep it updated. The WordPress platform is easy to use, and the addition of online Gravity Forms has saved a lot of admin time. Editing with Breakdance, even for someone like myself, being not that tech-savvy, is pretty straightforward. Anytime there’s an issue or a change I can’t manage on my own, Chris attends to it quickly. The website has become a good asset for what has become a very popular Motorsport Event.

I worked with Chris and the team at Digital Thing to build a new website for Kershaw Books, my small publishing and content studio. We needed something that could grow with us—part portfolio, part publishing catalogue, part editorial hub.

The scope covered everything from early planning through to post-launch support. We started with a discovery process to figure out our goals, audiences, and what the site needed to do. From there, they created a clear site structure and wireframes, then moved into visual design. The look and feel had to reflect a literary sensibility without feeling old-fashioned—clean, quiet, and content-first. They nailed it.

Development was done in WordPress, customised so we can easily update everything in-house—from new books and blog posts to author bios and media pages. The team also handled mobile optimisation, SEO basics, and newsletter integration.

Since launch, the new site has made a real difference. We’ve seen a clear uptick in engagement—people are spending more time on the site, exploring multiple pages, and actually reading the content. Newsletter signups have grown steadily, and we’re getting more inbound enquiries through the contact form, especially from potential collaborators and authors.

The backend is a big win too. I can now update the site myself without needing to chase a developer every time we publish something new. That’s saved a lot of time and made it easier to keep things current.

Overall, it’s made the business feel more visible, more professional, and easier to run.

We engaged DT to design and create a modern and sustainable website for our recurring multi-sport event. Included was standard home/about/privacy/newsletter pages and blocks, but we had a specific vision for how the varied, detailed and approachable each of the sports had to be for users to interact with with the least amount of friction. DT also provided SEO and brand-kit related updates to streamline the presentation, including some limited graphic design.
