I’m the co-founder of Healthy Luxe, which is a nutrition website and social media platform that we use to promote different brands. We also have other offerings like e-books and an app.

What challenge were you trying to address with DianApps Technologies?

After a failed partnership with another provider, DianApps Technologies came on to rescue our app development project.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Our previous service provider liquidated, so the work on our app stopped immediately. We couldn’t get in contact with anyone to discuss the progress or salvage anything. From there, DianApps Technologies jumped in. We explained our goals for the app, and they put us in touch with a few people on his team who recovered parts of the code. They developed the rest of the app from there. It was initially launched on iOS, and we recently launched it on Android as well.

The final solutions contain over 400 recipes that cater to different dietary needs. Users are given recipes suited to their lifestyle, which includes some branded content and nutritional information as well. Each recipe has an ingredient spotlight, providing insight into the benefits of one key ingredient in recipes.

In the future, we’re looking to add premium features that enable users to create their own customized meal plans based on their responses to a few health-based questions. We’ll also add on how-to recipe videos. It’ll be a bit more comprehensive. We’re in conversations with their team now to implement and execute on these planned features.

We were introduced to them after our previous development partner liquidated. They seemed able to get us back on track.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Our app peaked at number three under the food and beverage category on the App Store, only ranking below two very large corporations. That happened in the first week after launch, which was very exciting. At this point, we have about 20,000 downloads across both versions of the app.

They’re great about testing the app for usability. Since we don’t offer tons of features, it’s important to keep things simple. They’ve been able to do that for us.  

How did DianApps Technologies perform from a project management standpoint?

We have weekly meetings and are in contact via Basecamp most days. Occasionally, there will be periods with less contact. However, they update us regularly and always let us know if they’re running behind. They’ve been great project managers.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They truly involve themselves in the project. Instead of just taking our orders, they’re able to offer their own suggestions to improve the app. They take the time to examine our competitors to make sure our project is differentiated.

They’ve helped our team believe that we can strive bigger and better goals and that anything is possible with the right time, effort, and resources. It’s excellent having that positive attitude around. They’re a refreshing presence.   

Are there any areas they could improve?

They’re looking to expand their services into web development and SEO. We’d be interested in those services once they get those efforts rolling.

Listen to their ideas and recognize their expertise with UX and development. They’re knowledgeable and happy to offer suggestions, so use that to your advantage.

I’m the inventor of a celebrity facial recognition app.

What challenge were you trying to address with DianApps?

I was looking for a development partner to turn my wireframes into a completed app.

What was the scope of their involvement?

DianApps created the app using the wireframes we provided them. They integrated AI facial recognition services provided by Amazon, which are tied to IMDB and Wikipedia databases. They now provide ongoing maintenance and plan on offering advertising services. They also manage our subscription access to this AI technology.

You can take a picture of a person in a movie or TV show, and the app pulls up their full bio and filmography.

What is the team composition?

Pancham (Product Owner, DianApps) was my main point of contact, and he managed the whole team. I think there were 4–5 developers working on the app.

How did you come to work with DianApps?

Since the quote that we received from the agency that did our wireframes was very expensive, so I was considering alternative options. DianApps came recommended to me by a friendly acquaintance, and their offering turned out to be half the cost.

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve spent somewhere around $20,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

Our work began in June 2019 and while the app has launched, it’s an ongoing engagement with their management of subscription services.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

The accuracy of the app has been amazing. I’d say that the recognition accuracy rate is about 85%. It’s even able to recognize Internet celebrities. So far, it’s received numerous 5-star reviews in the Apple and Android app stores. While there are a couple of other facial recognition apps out there, ours is far superior to these.    

How did DianApps perform from a project management standpoint?

They were very good. There was virtually no language barrier, and the time difference wasn’t a major problem. They were quick to resolve any issues that came up. We communicated via basecamp and email.

What did you find most impressive about them?

It’s amazing what these guys can do. On top of being very competent, they’re fast and succinct. They’re also motivated by the work they provide.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, I can’t think of anything. There may have been a couple of misunderstandings, but they got quickly smoothed over. I don’t have anything to complain about.

Do your research, and make sure you compare your options.

My company is a social media startup that has been in development for about three years.

What challenge were you trying to address with DianApps Technologies?

We’ve worked with multiple developers over the years and had some stops and starts, and DianApps Technologies is carrying us across the finish line. We hired them to help us develop and launch our MVP.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

They took on the platform about 70–75% of the way through and then finished features that were incomplete from the last developer in order to be able to launch. Our app is for mobile and based in iOS and Android. The programming languages they worked in are industry standard for those platforms.

So, they started by reviewing and understanding what we already had and then helping us revamp and restructure our platform in order to present a more optimized and complete interface. They handled final cleanup as needed, to the point where we were able to confidently enter the market.

We have between 4–6 individuals working on our project at any given time, including a project manager and developers specializing in each respective language.

A development firm that I had worked with before went out of business, and some of my contacts there recommended I reach out to DianApps Technologies.

They started working on our project in January 2019 and we are finishing up our engagement soon.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

The quality of their work is very high. It’s rare to find not only that quality but their level of business understanding in offshore firms, but what they do is really incredible. They are incredibly cost-effective and always make sure they listen to what you want and are willing to pivot if that changes.

How did DianApps Technologies perform from a project management standpoint?

They pick up the phone whenever we need them to, regardless of the time difference, weekends, holidays, or anything. They actually wanted to do daily standups when we started to go over their progress and I had to be the one to ask them to reduce that because it really wasn’t all necessary.

They’re very organized, and they use Basecamp to track everything from problems they encounter to meeting minutes. They’re really good at sticking to their timelines.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They’re both efficient and honest, which is a rare combination. It’s an absolute pleasure to work with them.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I think their timelines could be a little bit more aggressive, but I would attribute part of that to the fact that they were a startup when we started working with them and have grown since then. I think it’s reasonable to be a little bit cautious when you first start out, but I’d like to see them get a little bit more aggressive with their estimates over time.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Be as honest as you possibly can be. It’s never worth withholding information as a negotiation tactic, especially when the actual cost is as low as it is with DianApps Technologies. Developing a relationship of trust with them is the most important thing, and in that regard, a little bit of transparency will go a long way.

I’m in charge of accounting and social marketing for Rcade LLC, a social media gaming platform.

We needed a partner to develop the app from start to finish.

What was the scope of their involvement?

From inception, we discussed what we wanted and they wrote the code that made it come to life for iOS and Android. The app allows gamers to upload clips of the games they play or livestream while others watch, comment, like, or share what other gamers post. We brainstormed every aspect of the app, including colors, features, and how users would interact with the interface.

I think there are about 10 people working on our project across two teams—development and marketing.

How did you come to work with DianApps Technologies?

We were working with another company, but when that fell through, DianApps was recommended to us. We conducted several interviews, but their team flew to meet us in person and present their business plan. We discussed expectations, and overall, it was a great meeting. They were very clear about their commitment, so we decided to pursue a partnership with them over other developers.

They finished the app between January and February 2018.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

They’ve given us an incredible product. Since the app was launched, we’ve grown 15–20% per month, and have over 15,000 users. On Facebook and Instagram, we’re growing every day and currently have 26,500 followers. In general, everyone is very enthused about how well we’re doing.

How did DianApps Technologies perform from a project management standpoint?

We communicate between 1–3 times a week. Depending on what needs to be done, our call can last between half an hour and 2 hours. Often, we Skype or share screens. They even came to visit us to regroup and reset.

They’re a team of professionals, and they love what they do. They have a lot of insight and are always looking for new solutions. Still, they listened to our vision and did their best to accomplish what we wanted.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They treat the project and our team with the utmost respect. They listen to our ideas and try to make them feasible. Significantly, they’re always honest and offer fair prices.

Not that I know of.

We needed help building an end-to-end digital platform, including a multi-restaurant marketplace, ordering and delivery workflow, Stripe integration, restaurant dashboards, and a backend to scale the business nationally.

What was the scope of their involvement?

DianApps has designed and built the full technology stack for our multi-restaurant catering platform. This includes UI/UX design, the development of the customer ordering website, a vendor dashboard for partner restaurants, an admin portal, Stripe Connect integration, menu and order management features, backend APIs, and overall system architecture. 
We’re currently in sprint 3 of a planned 12-sprint build, with DianApps responsible for frontend development, backend development, database setup, QA, and deployment throughout the project.So far, DianApps has delivered the initial discovery work, user flows, and UI/UX designs for the customer ordering experience, restaurant onboarding, and core platform navigation. 
They’ve set up the backend architecture, begun implementing key APIs, and developed early frontend components for the customer-side ordering interface.The larger components of the system — including the vendor dashboards, admin management portal, menu configuration tools, full order lifecycle, payment gateway integration (Stripe Connect), notifications, and the remaining API integrations — are still in progress and scheduled across the remaining sprints.

Although the platform is still in development, several measurable milestones indicate strong progress. These include the delivery of all major UI/UX design assets, completion of the platform’s core system architecture, and the implementation of early backend APIs. 
Additionally, initial frontend components — such as the customer ordering flow and restaurant onboarding screens — have been developed and reviewed. These completed deliverables demonstrate clear movement through the planned sprints and confirm that the project is tracking against scope.

How did DianApps perform from a project management standpoint?

We’re tracking well against the agreed sprint schedule. Sprint 1 (two weeks) was completed on time and delivered the initial wireframes, user journeys, and platform requirements. Sprint 2 (two weeks) finalized the full UI/UX design system and core backend architecture as planned. Sprint 3 (currently underway) has already produced early frontend components and initial API integrations, aligning with the roadmap established at project kickoff. 
All milestones so far have been achieved within their scheduled timeframes.DianApps has demonstrated strong project management, with organized sprint planning, weekly check-ins, and transparent progress tracking. Their team shares updates proactively, addresses questions quickly, and keeps the project aligned with the agreed timeline. 
All completed sprints so far have been delivered on schedule.Our primary forms of communication are virtual meetings and emails or messaging apps.

What did you find most impressive about them?

We’ve been most impressed by how quickly they understood the complexity of our business model and translated it into a workable technical plan. Their team is proactive in offering solutions, provides regular communication, and maintains a strong balance between design clarity and technical execution. The consistency of their sprint structure has also been unique compared to other developers we’ve worked with.

What specific goals or objectives did you hire DianApps to accomplish for your open-source platform?

My main goals were to develop the required software faster and with higher quality.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

DianApps has two developers working for me, one for the frontend and one for the backend. The deliverables are predominantly source code modules, but I also receive a fair bit of counseling.The backend developer has delivered a content-addressable file storage for the data of my platform, implemented a WebSocket server for communication between the backend and frontend, deployed a few Kubernetes services, and set up several CI-CD integrations, such as GitHub Actions and LangSmith platform pipelines. The frontend developer is helping me develop the user interface of the platform, both in standard DOM (Document Object Model) and in XR (Extended Reality).

I work with 2–5 teammates from DianApps.

How did you come to work with DianApps?

I found them through an online search. I initially hired them to work on another software (VlogTalk) in the same suite as ToolProof. My good experience with that made me choose them for the main application in the suite. Moreover, their pricing fit our budget.

We started working together in March 2025, and the engagement is ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

ToolProof is not yet launched, but the developers from DianApps have contributed to making the launch come closer, hopefully by the end of 2025. I don't have any formal indicators, but it's obvious that the development has been sped up considerably. Delivered solutions are working as intended, at least after a few iterations, which is normal in software development. For example, the setup of GitHub Actions was faster than I had anticipated.

How did DianApps perform from a project management standpoint?

The discrete tasks have been delivered in a timely manner, although I haven't set any strict deadlines. We communicate through virtual meetings.

What did you find most impressive about them?

The depth of their developers' skills and their adaptability are impressive. Additionally, the transparency and reliability of the delivery management are especially important when working with a remote team. For example, when the project was paused for three months, we picked up where we left off as we'd agreed upon. Another example: since October turned out to have more public holidays than I'd anticipated, I will be compensated with extra developer hours later.

Are there any areas they could improve?

There probably are, but I can't think of anything concretely. For most of the process, the platform has been in an unstable, fast-changing state, and we're operating in difficult and unproven terrain. I'm also developing the platform heavily myself, and the problems I'm facing aren't because of DianApps, but because of the nature of the domain.
