For what projects/services did your company hire Developers Unity, and what were your goals?

Our company is based in Prague, Czech Republic and we wanted to create an opportunity for people to earn money by doing some small piece of work on the internet like writing posts, putting likes, registration on different websites, etc.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

Different platforms were searched in order to develop our idea. We discussed the idea with different companies and this vendor convinced us that they could implement it in the proper way. Moreover, the price factor was the key factor for us, since we would like to prove our idea by doing the initial version. Also, the vendor demonstrated interest in the project and offered a lot of useful functions for the further development of our idea.

Firstly, we discussed the basic functionality, which should be implemented in the initial version of the project. The vendor suggested implementing the idea step by step and after each step observe the impact of changes. Scrum Methodology was used in order to track all changes during the sprint. Before I did not work with that methodology and now I could see all the positive sides of it since I was able to see the possible problems during the sprint.

How many people from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?

We worked with one project manager and one back-end developer. Initially, we discussed the format of the whole work with the vendor’s CEO.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

For Juni 2021 we have 16000+ registered users and among them, about 1000 are active per month. Until now, approximately 350 tasks were created and completed at least 500 times.

Scrum Methodology was used in order to achieve the goal. Each 2 weeks the vendor reported all functionalities that were implemented and every day we had a meeting for 15 mins. After the review, we discussed the next step and I could prioritize them.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

The developer was able to tell me immediately about issues and together with the project manager, we could figure out how to solve an occurred problem. I have never received this kind of informative report before.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

Nothing to complain about.

For what projects/services did your company hire Developers Unity, and what were your goals?

Since there was no proper marketplace that connects sellers and buyers in the Czech Republic, I wanted to create a web platform, with which sellers and buyers could find each other. Our goal was to create a unique platform for any kind of services for sellers: from education to beauty.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

We searched online for web developers, which are able to satisfy our requirements. We chose them because of the price factor and their experience in customer development. During the discussion, we covered the methodology of development and the stack of technologies that they use for development. I really enjoyed communicating with them and therefore I decided to work with this vendor.

First of all, I have created Terms of Reference with all functionality that I wanted to be implemented. Then, we discussed several times with the backend developer from the vendor about each point, and together we have created a list of deliverables, which should be implemented. They used Scrum Methodology in order to be transparent and for the possibility to track the development of the project. When they could not do planned functions during the sprint, the reason was explained. Additionally, during a sprint, I was able to change the functionality a bit and we could think about a better solution. From my point of view, it was really helpful and in the end, we created a better product.

In the beginning, the project manager communicated a lot with me in order to create all the sprints. Afterward, one back-end developer implemented functionalities and reported to me each 2 weeks in reviews.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

After launching our site, about 250 sellers registered and created their goods and services in our marketplace. Our main focus is to increase the number of sellers, therefore we are actively investing money in marketing. A lot of buyers have already used the platform in order to buy goods.

We used Scrum Methodology: each day we had short stand-ups where a back-developer described what was done and what he would like to do today. Every 2 weeks we had a review, where they presented the functionality and I could check it directly. Right after the review, we did the planning, where I prioritized functions.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

The most impressive thing is that they always inform right away about bugs and errors that were found during a sprint. Because of this, I was always informed about each blocker and when they did not complete all functions. I knew in advance why and how they would like to solve the problem(s).

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

There is nothing to complain about and the final product completely satisfies me.
