We worked together from January 2021–June 2022.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

They were amazing; what I liked about them is they really listened, were very patient, and charged correctly. Also, their team helped me with what I needed and tried to accommodate my budget — there were things I would've wanted differently, but it couldn't happen based on my budget.

Overall, they worked very well to get me a functioning product that I was happy with and worked great for us.

How did Devnco Technologies Private Limited perform from a project management standpoint?

Communication was good, and they met deadlines — if I needed a shorter timeline, they tried to adapt to it. Also, they were always open to helping us and communicating through weekly calls, text messages, and Skype whenever I needed them.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Their communication and ability to create what I wanted were impressive — they did an overall good job.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I don't think there's anything they can improve on — they're knowledgeable, and I had a great experience with them. I built a friendly relationship with them and would like to meet them in person.

Have a clear understanding of what you want and be realistic with your budget. Also, be patient and respectful.

As our new business, we have launched a business-to-business personnel matching and secondment service. We commissioned the development of its website.

How did you select Devnco Technologies Private Limited and what were the deciding factors?

We felt that the balance between technical capabilities and cost was very good when we interviewed them.

We had a kick-off meeting to discuss our goals and objectives. We then provided them with a site layout and wireframes, and discussed and documented the basic specifications. Both companies agreed on the document and signed the contract. Their team then started designing the site, and we exchanged ideas on Figma to brush up the design.

The team discussed and decided on the PHP framework and front-end framework to be used for the subsequent development. Our team was not very good at English, so there were some misunderstandings, but we were able to launch the site as planned.

The project manager was our main point of contact throughout the process. We also had two web developers, an infrastructure engineer, and one designer working behind the scenes. It seems that more engineers were involved in the project out of our sight.

Because the site is a company-participation type site, the number of users is not good immediately after the site is launched. However, we are satisfied with the SPA-like functionality of the site, and the company has been flexible in responding to subsequent functional modifications.

We had online meetings almost daily between India and Japan. We used Zoom, Slack, and Jira to share our progress and work well with the team.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

They always fulfill the features we order in the end.

It would be helpful if a QA engineer could be assigned to the project since the verification on the engineering side comes up in a loose state.

I'm the president of a technology consulting firm that works only with non-profit organizations.

For what projects/services did your company hire Devnco Technologies Private Limited, and what were your goals?

We were contracted by our client to build a web based solution to support a human services program for renters impacted by Covid-19. The goal was to complete a web-based two-step application process that interfaces with a document management system back-end.

Public applicants would apply to the program through a website. The system would index all answers to provide real-time analytics measuring the needs for the applicants, even beyond paying rent. The applicant's landlord would then come to the site and complete their side of the application.

The site would index their answers and combine with the tenant application, sending it to our document management system for staff to process. The team was given six weeks to go-live .

SOLUTION

How did you select Devnco Technologies Private Limited and what were the deciding factors?

We found Devnco through a referral from the creator of the software we chose for the document management back end. The ultimate deciding factor was their familiarity with the chosen document management product and their availability to pull off the work in the extremely short timeline.

Devnco designed a front end website that took in the data from applicants and indexed their information in a front end database. The front end database allowed us to immediately report real-time statistics for the needs of the applicants.

We could quickly determine what other resources were needed at a city-wide level. The website was a simple wordpress interface that hosted forms for tenants and landlords. Using the google maps API, Devnco built out a system to confirm applicant addresses were geographically eligible for the program.

This allowed us to route applicants to their nearest community center processing assistance requests. Once we had data into the back end document management system, Devnco built out a second set of reporting dashboards that pull together datapoints of program participants to give us the ability to do some forecasting for greater needs.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

We successfully launched and in under three days had to pause the program due to overwhelming need.

We've been able to determine many important gaps in social services, or areas where additional resources are needed, and provide that information right back to the top levels of leadership in the city. Being a small, nimble team has benefitted this project, and the residents of our city, greatly.

We scheduled meetings 2x per week over Microsoft Teams and communicated through chat in between. Working from a spreadsheet of priorities, we were able to constantly stay in touch with accomplishments, current works-in-progress, next priorities and future plans.

The team stayed in-sync throughout the development and through the first two days of launch. Afterward we settled into our reporting phases of the project and retained constant communication in the same schedule and times as before.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Small, nimble, eager for the challenge. They never say no, they just continue to look for a way to accomplish the task.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

The time difference/offset is sometimes a burden with the project.

We found Devnco through the web and were pleased with the professionalism of exchanges and financial proposal We prefer connecting with vendors with a good reputation in the industry. With Devnco, the major deciding factors were their quality of work and their understanding of the market at large.

Devnco created an application engineered to track employee productivity using APIs from our RFID gadgets. They integrated this application with the gadget's parameters to scientifically derive our staff's productivity. To facilitate the device's health and current location, they created a dashboard with real-time tracking of the device's parameters. The main technologies used were Kotlin, Nodejs, and Vue.js.

Our primary contact was the Project manager. Subsequently, we dealt with a UX designer, Android Developer, a BA, and a QA.

We are very pleased with the work completed. We successfully increased employee productivity and reduced device charging time. The final product works seamlessly. The platform significantly exceeded our initial vision because of Devnco's approach.

Their communication skills are excellent. The team was available literally 24 hours a day. They were able to adapt to a variety of demands and priorities. Moreover, they provided valuable advice on addressing the different needs we were trying to meet.

They’re quite agile and adaptable. Devnco’s willingness to understand our business before they tried to solve the problem made the difference. We were impressed by their design process and agility.
