We originally intended to grow our clients by scheduling all our events and uploading partial meditation sessions for free on the mobile app. As our idea has grown, we've started aiming for a higher number of monthly downloads and targeting individuals outside our current client base. We’ve also started offering full meditation sessions for premium accounts. With a well-planned marketing campaign, we aim to hit at least 10,000 downloads during the first 30 days after the launch, with 15% conversion for paid subscriptions.

They’ve developed our platforms for both web and mobile. Most importantly, they created a library for our audio and visual content that’s manageable via a web application. This application was built in such a way that we can create, edit and/or delete sessions and customize them depending on the user's account (premium or not). After the app goes live, Dedicated Developers is going to provide support.

What was the team composition?

I’ve been in contact with the co-founders, a project manager, two programmers, and a designer. We've met face to face and online through a Teamwork project management system.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

The project hasn’t gone live yet but we’re very satisfied with how the app is coming. We’re close to the MVP delivery date, and aside from minor issues, it’s looking great. Results from beta testing will come in soon.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

Dedicated Developers introduced us to a digital platform (Teamwork) where we can manage and follow up on deliverable progress. We love working on it because it’s easy for us to add comments and insights on specific stages of the project. The communication with both their development team and co-founders has been very easy, too.

Their full commitment and engagement since day one have really captivated us. We know they may have different ongoing projects, but resources have never been a problem. Communication with the co-founders is still continuing when needed.

Are there any areas for improvement?

Initially, we thought their pricing was a bit higher than what we had in mind. But, fortunately, it hasn’t been an issue. They’ve been very transparent with their pricing from the beginning and have met all the deadlines. There hasn’t been any need for extra resources or hours.

We had various versions of the Android and iOS applications before launching the app, which took a lot of time. Our vision was to create Android and iOS apps that deliver 3 minute micro podcasts to its target audience. The state-of-the-art user interface design is both attractive and highly functional – providing even first-time app users with quick and easy access to relevant and desirable podcast content. Their team developed a fantastic UI design and incorporated many cool features. We are already reaping the rewards of their excellent work through 36% increased user interaction and about 27% increased order size with our customer base. Their team determined which technologies to use, and they worked with us to create a schedule for development and testing. They developed an admin panel where I can track many critical elements for our business.

We now have a much modern looking website, and the Dedicated Developers team has developed a great UI that allows our customers to plan their events with tremendous ease. Our clients have more choices to make at their own pace as they plan their events, and the development team has taken the whole client experience to a new height.

We communicated through the project management system, and it was easy to use. The developers were quick to respond when I had a question or feedback. It also helped that they have a local Atlanta-based development team. We used a mixture but primarily Microsoft teams.

The Dedicated Developers team is very knowledgeable about design trends. They helped us develop an excellent user interface and designs that would look good for many more years. We believe it is critical, and it will allow us to focus on other aspects of our business.

We had our first consultation with Dedicated Developers, and it became clear that they are operating at a much higher level of professionalism and communication speed. The two other companies that responded to our initial inquiry - one of them gave us a quotation that was four times the quotation from the Dedicated Developers team, and another one was just painfully slow to communicate.

We tasked Dedicated Developers with creating a complete first version of our mobile app. We wanted it to be for Android and iOS and to have all the essential features for MVP. The features we wanted in the project were a user-friendly design, chat feature, user profile, store listings, flavor profiles, and sorting, filtering, and rating functions.

We also wanted an admin portal built with various options to control our app.

I mainly worked with the project manager, backend developer, UX/UI developer, and mobile developer. In addition, it was straightforward to access the owners of Dedicated Developers, and they were available to pick their brains whenever I needed to run an idea by them.

Most importantly, Dedicated Developers listened to me, and they executed my vision while improving upon my idea by bringing their creative ideas from their years of experience.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

We were very impressed with the initial Blueprint process. It was great to have a solid plan on how the app would be built and exactly what features it would have. Truthfully, the Blueprint (a unique process that the Dedicated Developers team follows) was one of the things that sold me on choosing Dedicated Developers.

It made me feel better about the whole process – especially after that first bad experience where the other team didn't complete the app. I realized that the blueprint stage is crucial to a project like this. After all, if you don't have that process, how are you supposed to build something for somebody?

They then built our mobile apps for both Android and iOS, and they are now live in the app stores. Everybody at Dedicated Developers has been super communicative, keeping me up to date on the progress of our project. The designs in the apps look awesome; everything looks great. I'm very happy how it all come together.

We use a Teamwork project management online system to communicate. It keeps things organized, and the developers kept me fully up to date there.

Excellent communication is what we've been most impressed with while working with Dedicated Developers. That was our big thing. When we try and get a hold of them, they immediately get in touch with me. We believe that to work with somebody; you need to be transparent, answer the phone, and get back to them as fast as possible.

The seamless communication between our team and the Dedicated Developers team was a big part of our program's success.
