My company started as a crazy idea. That idea was sketched on paper and from there I bid this out to about 20 other companies. Space-O gave me a proposal that encouraged me to move forward with them and the project. Their initial proposal was so good and thouroughly researched, that they literally wiped the competition (about 20 other proposals) off the floor. We began working on the app in February 2024. They designed the logo, the look of the app and how it functioned.  Of course there are proprietary functions within the app as well that took some time to figure out. And along the way we found out that we needed other functions that weren't in the initial bid. Like a website that also interacts with the app, building out robust analytics and so much more. As you know, as you develop and app, there are always things that come up to make the app even better. And we will continue to develop the app even after we launch which is coming up any day now.

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Ours is a viable app that is currently in Beta Testing and is performing remarkably well in all tests.  People are so excited for it to come out and for our target market to use it on a daily basis.

My project manager, Khushboo, is unbelivably fantastic, knowlegable and supportive. We've been through a lot together over these past months, and I truly call her a friend and partner on this project.  She had to learn from scratch what I needed this app to do and how it should function.  She had no prior knowledge of the inner working of actors, casting and auditions. And she learned everything in a very short time so that we could design this app.  I had never developed and app before and this is my 3rd career (as I'm 60)  - all I had was a 10 page hand drawn diagram how I thought the app should work.  Khushboo and her team patiently guided me every step of the way. I consider myself very lucky to have her and her team's guidance and expertise. 

Khushboo is my point person.  She and I are 12.5 hours apart. I'm in California and she's in India.  However we work effortlessly together. We regularly have zoom calls and talk multiple times a day through BaseCamp. Communication is key, and she knows how to take care of a client. And I am one very happy client.

There were defintely milestones that were set out along the way.  First logo developement and app design and functionality.  Next, there was definitely trial and error and a lot of tweaking along the way. Then we decided to launch a website that interracts with the app so a person can the ability to not only log in from their phone but also their computer.  There are so many intricate details and functionalities that had to be developed and they did it with grace and fantastic communication.

I think what I found so impressive and unique about this company was the ability to listen to what I needed and develop exactly what I wanted this app to do.  And they did it! The app is stunning, easy to use and hopefully it will be a big hit with my target demographic.  And now we are working on the next phase of this project.

Also, my project manager Khushboo is truly a godsend. I don't think this app would have been as wonderful as it is now, if Khushboo wasn't leading this team for my app. The amount of time and work she has put into it was essential, but she did it with grace.   But it is her kindness and brilliance that really got this app through to the end.

Space-O Technologies, from my experience is literally the BEST!  I am so happy with my decision to work with them.  I had lots of other options. But they were communicative from day 1 and they have made sure that my experience is nothing short of exceptional, delivering an amazing app and website in a segment that we had to forage because there was nothing already out there to give us any guidance.

We saw a reduction in rejected images due to background issues and improvements in photo quality. Processing times for editing and uploading have also shortened, resulting in a more efficient workflow that users appreciate.

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

The success of this project is evidenced by the early usage of the closed beta. We are retaining users who did not continue to use the first app that I built with another company, and they have given feedback about how smooth and engaging the new app is. From design to build to quality assurance, the progress of the project has been unbelievable and more than I could have hoped for.

The reason I think we were able to achieve this outcome is because, as a client, I was constantly in touch with a certified scrum master, so communication between myself and the team was continuous, and so there was less friction and mistranslation between my requirements and the expected outcome. The team did a fantastic job and they were enabled to do so by the Scrum master. 

In terms of responding to my needs, I think that's what they were best at. I think this is why the project was such a great success, and I highly recommend Space-O.

I think that the talent in space-O is high quality, everything that I imagined they were able to bring to life, and to my surprise they were even proactive with bringing their own ideas to enhance the project. Working with the team has also been fun and pretty much frictionless. They had high-quality talent and great communication skills.

Are there any areas for improvement or something Space-O Technologies could have done differently?

I think that in the future, I would want to utilize mocking frameworks more, as there are some features where we have to wait for a scheduled time to test to see if it works, whereas I would prefer if we could mock the scenario, rather than waiting to see if the feature works as intended monthly for instance. We should just have a call to action where we can test it on demand.

System implementation was corrected.staging server setup to not cause any fatal error to live customers. Bug report has been provided to deeply understand the api impacts and connection to optimize bug fixing in term of cost and time. This will help us to go align with target growth of our app

The core concept was to develop a platform which lets parents (who are separated) connect with each other via chat, maintain a diary for their task/events/daily schedule, share photos with group (people associated with either of the parents), book sessions with a mediator and book/request to join events such as scheduled co-parenting classes.

App will be free at start (trial period) and then users have to subscribe for the continuous use of app. Initially the App will be in the English Language (later spainsh to add).

Android is the platform to start with in the case of Native technology. App should be developed in any technology keeping into consideration the moderate budget & timeline Expected launch month is March 2023.

There was a designated project manager on the team who ensured that everything was being done on time and as agreed. The project manager kept in touch with us all the time, he was very easy to reach and responded to all our queries and concerns in a very short time.

Whenever anthing had to be explained he gave very detailed explanations in a way that I could clearly follow and understand. He even made short videos to demonstrate when necessary.

They had a good understanding of what I wanted. They were able to create a package ithat was in line with my moderare budget. They delivered a product that is scaleable, meets all our immediate needs and has room for growth and expansion.
