BACKGROUND

Please describe your company and your position there.

The MUSEUM OF EVOLUTION OF THE INSTITUTE OF PALEOBIOLOGY of the Polish Academy of Sciences is devoted to natural history. We show fossils discovered and described mainly by Polish paleontologists, there are Jurassic dinosaurs from the Gobi Desert and reptiles and amphibians from the Triassic of Poland. The exhibitions include life reconstructions and skeletons. I am the main manager of the Museum.

We hired them to build an application

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

We chose them based on the recommendations of our friends and their declarations that they do their best to adapt to our needs and deadlines. The price of their services was not too high.

Describe the scope of work in detail, including the project steps, key deliverables, and technologies used.

We hired them to build an application thanks to which people visiting the new exhibition with the reconstruction of the skeleton of the Smok wawelski will be able to see what it looked like as a living animal. In addition, we wanted to include a lot of information in the application that could not be included in the descriptions of the exhibition, for example about the excavations, e.g. videos and details of the discovery and life of the Smok. We also wanted the application to include descriptions of the second skeleton standing next to it.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

The project was adapted to our requirements. All our comments and corrections were immediately incorporated into the project. Now we test it at the exhibition and it works.

Communication was very good, everything was explained on an ongoing basis by e-mail, telephone, and in person at the Museum. The delays were only caused by us and we were treated with understanding.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

We were impressed with their friendly approach and patience. They helped with problems with the new exhibition not related to their project.

We hired Curious Elements to design and architect our Metaverse project.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

Based on referrals and understanding of the Gaming Development agency landscape, we went with Curious Elements as they are the best that we know. They are creative, experienced, and are phenomenal working with international clients.

The scope of work included over 27 engineers, with a 12 month project timeline. The key deliverables started from a Workshop Report & Analysis that was over 30 pages to an MVP of the project. Jakub and Maciej did an amazing job scoping out the project steps.

How many people from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?

During the workshop, we worked with the CEO and CTO of Curious Elements. During the development, there were over 27 developers and designers working on the project.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

The client was extremely satisfied with the thoroughness and thought leadership approach that Curious Elements included in their deliverables.

Agile software development, with clear sprints and reviews. Communication tools leveraged were Slack and JIRA and timeliness was 10/10.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

What I found most impressive was Curious Elements unique approach to architecting a very difficult project in the Metaverse. There are a lot of factors and role's that go into play when building a complex project like this and they did it with ease.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

No, they did a great job.
