We've seen a noticeable reduction in system disruptions and unplanned downtime due to enhanced monitoring and proactive maintenance, leading to a more consistent and reliable user experience.

End-user support has become more responsive and efficient, with reduced ticket resolution times and improved service consistency, which positively impacts employee productivity. In fact, help desk effectiveness has improved, with an estimated 15%–25% increase in issues resolved on the first contact.

Moreover, the implementation of stronger security controls—such as MFA, improved endpoint protection, and monitoring—has reduced organizational risk and improved our ability to detect and respond to potential threats. We've seen a reduction in security-related incidents and vulnerabilities, along with improved audit readiness.

More consistent onboarding/offboarding workflows and device management practices have reduced errors, improved compliance, and increased efficiency across HR and IT coordination. By streamlining IT processes and reducing recurring issues, internal teams experience less disruption and can stay focused on core business activities.

Finally, with better documentation, reporting, and advisory support, leadership has gained clearer insight into the IT environment and a more defined roadmap for future improvements.

Overall, our experience with CompassMSP has been very positive. Like any partnership, there have been occasional opportunities for refinement, primarily around prioritization and communication during periods of high volume.

BlackPoint offers resale and support for our phone/telecom infrastructure. They setup our phone tree, call-back system, direct phone lines, call center groups, operational hours, etc.. When we need a change or have a problem, BlackPoint cooridinates technical support.

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

We have a phone system that works for our needs, and best services our customers. We also have a team looking out for our needs into the future, as players and technology change.

Describe their project management. Did they deliver items on time? How did they respond to your needs?

Different support agents are assigned to different requests, but the same agent stays on each issue, which is helpful. Tickets are closed in a timely manner, with mostly successful results. We articulate requirements, and their support is able to give clear information about what is and is not possible. There are times when projects take longer than I would expect, but not usually more than they quote.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Having a hold call-back option in key to our business strategy. Surprisingly, there were few other companies who could offer this feature in exactly the way that wanted it. So, from a technology standpoint, BlackPoint has been helpful.

Are there any areas for improvement or something BlackPoint IT could have done differently?

We have had numerous issues with our phone tree and work/holiday hours configuration. There is no self-service solution, which would be a HUGE improvement. Other phone serice providers offer a self-service option for business hours and phone tree configuration. Having to open a support ticket to make small changes is a pain, and BlackPoint has often gotten it wrong (causing our phones to remain open, when we are closed, and vise-versa).
