We found CompassMSP through an online search. We chose them because they had high ratings, were close to our geographic location, had pricing that fit our budget, offered good value for the cost, were referred to me, and had company values that aligned with ours.

We started working with CompassMSP in April 2025, and the engagement is ongoing.

We're happy with CompassMSP's work. The team has helped us with cost savings, security, and ease of use.

Replace Firewall hardware and wireless access points at two physical locations and configure remote users.

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

New firewalls in place, stable wi-fi inside the facilities, and functional remote access.

They delivered, installed, and configured everything as quoted on time. We had one small issue and had the issue configured out in a couple of hours.

They have been the most reliable and responsive IT firm I have ever dealt with.

BlackPoint offers resale and support for our phone/telecom infrastructure. They setup our phone tree, call-back system, direct phone lines, call center groups, operational hours, etc.. When we need a change or have a problem, BlackPoint cooridinates technical support.

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

We have a phone system that works for our needs, and best services our customers. We also have a team looking out for our needs into the future, as players and technology change.

Describe their project management. Did they deliver items on time? How did they respond to your needs?

Different support agents are assigned to different requests, but the same agent stays on each issue, which is helpful. Tickets are closed in a timely manner, with mostly successful results. We articulate requirements, and their support is able to give clear information about what is and is not possible. There are times when projects take longer than I would expect, but not usually more than they quote.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Having a hold call-back option in key to our business strategy. Surprisingly, there were few other companies who could offer this feature in exactly the way that wanted it. So, from a technology standpoint, BlackPoint has been helpful.

Are there any areas for improvement or something BlackPoint IT could have done differently?

We have had numerous issues with our phone tree and work/holiday hours configuration. There is no self-service solution, which would be a HUGE improvement. Other phone serice providers offer a self-service option for business hours and phone tree configuration. Having to open a support ticket to make small changes is a pain, and BlackPoint has often gotten it wrong (causing our phones to remain open, when we are closed, and vise-versa).
