Your sales reps are still taking orders by phone. Your ERP and your storefront have never spoken to each other. Your pricing rules live in a spreadsheet. You've outgrown how you operate, you just haven't fixed it yet.
Codup builds B2B eCommerce platforms for manufacturers, distributors, and wholesalers that need a system built around how they actually operate, not how a generic platform assumes they do.
We connect your Shopify, Magento, WooCommerce, or custom storefront to your ERP, CRM, and back-office systems, NetSuite, Dynamics, Azure, HubSpot, and more. So every order, every price, every customer-specific catalog is handled automatically. No silos. No friction. No workarounds.
What you get:
Customer-specific pricing and catalogs, without your sales team manually managing exceptions.
ERP and CRM integration that actually sticks, built to mirror your real workflows, not work around them.
Punchout catalogs, complex order workflows, and headless builds, we've done it all.
Migrations and integrations handled end-to-end, from legacy systems to modern infrastructure with your business, not against it.
We work best with mid-market companies in the United States and Canada, typically 50 to 500 employees, $25M to $500M in revenue, where the complexity is real, the stakes are high, and a generic solution simply won't cut it.

IDX / MLS data integration from 2 different sources to be displayed on a custom-built real estate website.
Plug-in Goal 1) Rentals: IDX data provided by Escapia
Plug-in Goal 2) Retail: MLS data provided by HawaiiInformation.com
Goal 1: The ability for the website to book vacation rentals directly online, with a custom user interface and experience. The data source for displaying properties comes from Escapia and is delivered to the front of the website by way of API. The website's interface (designed by my team) included a property search (filter), property listings, property details (landing page), and property booking. All data related to properties are managed internally from Escapia's dashboard, where published/updated property details get displayed on the front end of the website (API calls).
Goal 2: To receive requests on retail properties directly on the website, with a custom user interface and experience. Raw MLS Data is provided by external resources and is delivered to the front of the website by way of API. The website's interface designed by my team featured a custom design for property search (filter) which included a detailed map (using either MapBox or Google), property listings, property details (landing page), and a property request form for users to acquire more info about the property.

Moreover, they communicate effectively through email and Google Meet. Their proactive approach and transparency regarding each action’s pros and cons stand out.
A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this
client over the phone. Below is an edited

BACKGROUND
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the marketing director at a wholesale solar equipment distributor and logistics provider.
OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE
What challenge were you trying to address with Codup?
We needed some WooCommerce support and technical knowledge; we hired them for Codup for troubleshooting.
SOLUTION
What was the scope of their involvement?
Codup provides us with e-commerce development using WooCommerce. First, we created a statement of work together by going back and forth on a document to ensure it included what we wanted. They work on the backend, plug-in integrations, and site migration. We were using an outdated hosting service, and Codup has fixed that for us; they now offer maintenance and hosting services.
What is the team composition?
We work with a project manager, an engineer, a business analyst, and an account manager from Codup.
How did you come to work with Codup?
I found them online when looking for WooCommerce developers. Codup had created a few apps, which made me interested in reaching out to them. We had several calls to ensure we were the right fit for each other, where they walked us through their process for creating a statement of work and ensuring it included what we wanted.
How much have you invested with them?
We’ve spent around $10,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
We started working together in October 2022, and the engagement is ongoing.
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
Thanks to Codup’s work, our site is faster and performs better overall. Other than that, it hasn’t been long enough to see metrics like conversions improve. As for the team, they’ve been much faster than I expected in completing the task-based work on tight deadlines.
How did Codup perform from a project management standpoint?
The challenge we’ve faced regarding project management is our time zone difference. They do their best to overlap with our hours, working late at night and early in the morning. Still, there’s a 4–5 hour gap towards the end of the day, which we don’t love. However, I don’t know how they could get around that.
Their communication has been excellent, and they’ve been proactive in making suggestions. We base our project management on shared documents and communicate through email and Google Meet.
What did you find most impressive about them?
I’m impressed with Codup’s proactive approach. Additionally, they’re not interested in selling unnecessary things; they want to be honest. They tell me the pros and cons of each decision and let me make the call, which I appreciate.
Are there any areas they could improve?
They could do more to streamline their billing process, which is a bit cumbersome because we have to wire money. They have many clients in the US, so if they had an account here, it would simplify the payment process.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Be really clear about your business objectives so that Codup knows what you want to do and focuses on the project’s needs. They’re very good at looking at the big picture and recommending plug-ins or tweaks to help you.

Our site contains restricted downloadable content attached to subscription status. On the subscription side, users can pay through our website using a Stripe integration, as well as utilize discount
Beyond the subscription features, Codup has also worked on our UI. They implemented a Restrict Content Pro plugin and helped with a tax plugin we have.
There’s also an administrative side of the platform where we tackle subscription management through the backend of the site. In terms of the UI, Codup implemented a feature that will allow users to go in and either upgrade or downgrade their orders.
What is the team composition?
We work with Zaheer (Project Manager), Ayaz (Project Manager), and a couple of other people.
How did you come to work with Codup?
We found them on Quotable, which our website administrator recommended to us. They reviewed the project and we put together a scope of work, and they accepted it. The goal was to find someone with experience with RCP.
How much have you invested with them?
The total cost is just over $6,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
We’ve been working together since June 2022. The scope expanded once they completed the initial work.
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
They finished the initial work within the proposed timeline, which blew me away. Since then, we’ve been adding little pieces to the work.
They’re truly a pleasure to work with because they understand our needs and our challenges. Additionally, their ability to listen to me when I don’t speak their technical language and still deliver the solutions I need stands out. They take my feedback seriously and move the project forward in a smooth manner with immediate comprehension. Codup’s suggestions were also very beneficial.
They’ve eased our administrative burden thanks to their payment processing work on the backend; a lot of our manual work has been eliminated.
How did Codup perform from a project management standpoint?
We’ve had multiple video calls, and they’ve been very flexible in terms of meeting times to account for time zone differences.
There have been no surprise bills, and they’re always done before the deadline. When we discuss the work, they’re very organized in terms of knowing what stems from the original scope and what will be an add-on.
We send documents back and forth, but it isn’t a large enough project to require more powerful tools. We communicate over Google Meet and Quotable.
What did you find most impressive about them?
They’re phenomenal, and I don’t hesitate to recommend them. Little things always come up in projects, but they are able to find a solution for anything we’re unsure about.
Codup’s team is also very generous with their time. Rather than force us down a certain path, they’re open to our scope changes and get started working quickly. They simply seem to care about what they do.
Their professionalism really stands out. They’re also full of integrity.
Are there any areas they could improve?
I don’t think there’s one thing I would do differently.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Approach your project with Codup as a partnership because they know what they’re doing. Additionally, communicate as much as possible so that they have all the information they need. They’ll run with the work.

A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this
client over the phone. Below is an edited
transcript.
BACKGROUND
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the managing editor for a UK-based legal publishing house. We have various products in the law publishing space. In the last 10 years, we’ve shifted towards digital publishing, and I head up the web development team focusing on SEO.
OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE
What challenge were you trying to address with Codup?
We have a monthly magazine with a quiz element, and we wanted to replicate a system that our readers had used for the last 15–20 years and adapt it to a digital format. This feature would allow users to log in and answer their quizzes online rather than scribbling them on paper.
SOLUTION
What was the scope of their involvement?
Codup provides us with web development services. Initially, they worked on a one-off project to create a bespoke quiz set up for our website with rich requirements provided by us. This involved developing a custom learning management system (LMS) by adapting the LearnDash plug-in on one of our WordPress websites. This project involved elements of design work in building the certificates that go with the LMS. They used PHP and JavaScript.
That first project dovetailed into more work, and now we use Codup for additional projects we don’t have the time to do ourselves. We have the team on a retainer model working on smaller projects like bug-fixing and minor feature enhancements. They’re also helping us with several larger ongoing projects, such as general site optimization and UI design improvement.
For example, we have a big WordPress multi-site network with many products and projects, and the optimization work tends to span the entire network. Codup is also helping us improve our search functionality. Additionally, many internal users author our content on WordPress, and the team is helping us build productivity tools to improve this process.
What is the team composition?
We have one point of contact on the commercial side and someone else in our weekly meetings. Our main dealings are with a developer who does most of our work. For an isolated project, we’ve worked with a dedicated team with a project manager, a senior developer, a junior developer, and someone doing QC.
How did you come to work with Codup?
We found them through putting the LMS out to tender on a marketplace for freelance projects. Codup responded and won that contract because we were suitably impressed with them.
How much have you invested with them?
We pay them about $4,000 a month. The fixed project costs have come in at about $8,000 in total.
What is the status of this engagement?
We started working together in January 2022, and our partnership is ongoing.
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
Codup has been very good at helping us deliver projects faster and more effectively. They’ve quickly embedded into our internal team and have shown us how to organize ourselves from a project management standpoint. As a result, they’ve alleviated some pressure we had to get things done on time.
Their quality standard is good. The only trade-off in working with Codup is that we live in different time zones and speak different languages, so we’ve needed to double-explain things. However, once we agree on tasks, their work is outstanding. Moreover, we’re impressed by how quickly Codup has grasped what we want. They’ve excelled at working out our network and understanding the complexities of our system.
How did Codup perform from a project management standpoint?
The project management has been a bit of a mixed bag. The majority has been good in terms of the retainer-based work. We have a weekly meeting where we stay on topic and tend to agree on expectations. Although our isolated projects have had delays, it’s also been on us to brief them properly. As our partnership progresses, we’re also getting better at that part.
What did you find most impressive about them?
I’m impressed by the speed at which Codup can work. The budget is also much better value than we’d get with UK-based development agencies. Additionally, because they have a bigger team, people can jump into the project with specifics that need to be addressed on various levels. For example, sometimes, we can start with a senior developer and then scale down the team and use more junior people. Codup can offer this flexibility and breadth of skills, which is very useful for us.
They’ve also been very accommodating. When things haven’t been delivered to the level we wanted, they’ve either refunded us or thrown in extra resources to deliver on time. Moreover, what they provide for their work hours is way beyond what we could expect from an in-house developer.
Are there any areas they could improve?
Not really. Although we’ve had communication issues, they’ve been a two-way thing. Besides, we’ve been working with them long enough to consider that a teething issue and a thing of the past. Anything that has been an issue has been dealt with quickly.
