Coding Pixel

BACKGROUND

Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m the founder of STREXYL LLC, a social networking marketplace that connects short-term rental hosts, investors, and realtors, enabling them to find partners, list opportunities, and collaborate securely on a centralized platform.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

What challenge were you trying to address with Coding Pixel?

I hired Coding Pixel to build STREXYL. The primary goal was to create a user-friendly platform that makes it easy for operators, costs, agents, and investors to connect, showcase properties and services, and build business relationships. I also wanted to ensure the platform included the key features and functionality needed to support real estate and investment opportunities, from professional profiles and property listings to networking and communication tools, while providing a scalable foundation for future growth.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Coding Pixel handled the end-to-end design and development of STREXYL. Their scope of work included platform architecture, UI/UX design, front-end and back-end development, database implementation, user authentication, profile creation, property listing functionality, search and filtering features, messaging and networking capabilities, subscription and payment integration, and overall platform testing. The primary deliverable was a fully functional web-based marketplace that allows operators, costs, real estate agents, and investors to create professional profiles, showcase properties and services, connect with other users, and pursue business opportunities through an intuitive and user-friendly experience.Coding Pixel's involvement extended beyond the initial build and launch of STREXYL. They have continued to provide ongoing support, maintenance, bug fixes, and feature updates as the platform evolves.

What is the team composition?

We worked with 10–15 teammates from Coding Pixel.

How did you come to work with Coding Pixel?

We found them through a referral. We chose them over other options because of their high ratings, great culture fit, and good value for cost.

How much have you invested with them?

We spent an undisclosed amount.

What is the status of this engagement?

We worked together from October 2023–October 2026.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

The primary measurable outcome was the successful launch of STREXYL as a fully functional social networking marketplace. Coding Pixel delivered the core features needed for users to create profiles, showcase properties and services, connect with industry professionals, and engage through the platform. Their work provided a strong technical foundation that allows the business to onboard users, scale, and continue evolving through future updates and enhancements. While we prefer not to disclose specific user metrics, the platform has successfully launched and is actively onboarding industry professionals. Coding Pixel delivered all major functionality needed for users to create profiles, showcase properties and services, connect with other professionals, and engage on the platform. Their ongoing support and feature enhancements have helped position STREXYL for continued growth and increased user engagement. We tracked progress through the successful completion of major deliverables, including user profiles, property and service listings, search functionality, messaging capabilities, subscription features, and platform testing. Each milestone brought STREXYL closer to its goal of becoming a user-friendly marketplace for real estate and short-term rental professionals. Continued updates and feature enhancements after launch have also been key measures of success.

How did Coding Pixel perform from a project management standpoint?

Coding Pixel demonstrated excellent project management throughout the development of STREXYL. They consistently communicated project status, timelines, and expectations, ensuring I was always informed and aligned on priorities and next steps. Deliverables were generally completed on time, and whenever a task was completed ahead of schedule or required additional time, they proactively communicated those updates and explained the reasoning. Their transparency, responsiveness, and commitment to keeping the project on track made them a dependable development partner throughout the entire process. We primarily communicated through virtual meetings, emails, and messaging apps.

What did you find most impressive about them?

What impressed me most about Coding Pixel was their ability to take a complex vision and translate it into a functional, user-friendly platform while remaining highly communicative throughout the process. Building a social networking marketplace for real estate and short-term rental professionals required a wide range of features and workflows, and they were able to thoughtfully implement those requirements while providing valuable feedback and recommendations along the way. Their responsiveness, transparency, and willingness to continue supporting and improving the platform after launch set them apart. I never felt like I was simply handed a product. Instead, it felt like a collaborative partnership focused on creating the best possible experience for users.

Are there any areas they could improve?

There isn't anything I would have wanted them to do differently. Coding Pixel has been an incredible partner throughout the entire journey of building STREXYL. Their communication, transparency, responsiveness, and dedication made what could have been a stressful process feel collaborative and exciting. They took the time to understand my vision, offered valuable insights, and worked hard to create a platform I'm proud of. I've genuinely loved working with their team and would gladly do it all over again. I highly recommend Coding Pixel to anyone looking for a development team that truly cares about their clients' success.

We had a wonderful experience working with our web developer on our transition from Squarespace to Shopify. They really listened to our needs, were incredibly responsive with edits and optimizations, and made the entire process feel seamless. In just three months, they delivered exactly what we envisioned—a beautiful, functional site that feels true to our brand. We couldn’t be happier with the result.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

They communicated effectively, had tools for us to easily collaborate and delivered on schedule

Virtual Meeting

They were able to take a Spotify template and adapt it to our unique needs

One area for improvement would be more thorough quality control before submitting updates for review. A few items I flagged, such as links not working or directing to the wrong page, could have been caught through internal testing beforehand.

Describe the scope of work in detail. Please include a summary of key deliverables.

This project was to create an app that would provide paycheck tracking for a niche group of trade workers. This group of trade workers has a very complicated and flexible pay structure that could not be handled by regular tracking apps. We needed an app that did this service with accuracy, worked accross web and both app stores, and could be the base layer to eventually add more features such as communities and other job resources.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Coding Pixel met all of the deadlines ahead of schedule most of the time. They created an app that had a very specific calculation formula across 3 different plaforms and it all worked seemless.
Each of these had little to no bugs, and the 1 or 2 bugs that it had were so minor that almost nobody caught them. They were then fixed immediately and without issue. The app has had over 800 new customers within the first 1.5 months and has had multiple people reach out to say how great it is.

Describe their project management. Did they deliver items on time? How did they respond to your needs?

The team constantly met their deadlines on time or ahead of schedule. There was no need to baby sit them or to have to worry about how far along they were on a project.
As a person with almost no coding experience, they went above and beyond to help me understand what was going on and guide me through some of the things that needed to be done on my end. Whenever they did need something from me, which was rare, they would send a detailed video on how exactly to do it so there would not be any mixups. The communication is top-notch.

What was your primary form of communication with Coding Pixel?

Email or Messaging App

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

The company is extremely quick to handle any issues or concerns. They are always available to respond and to meet your needs. If any issues happen with the app, they have a resolution typically within 24hrs. The crew here doesn't spend time telling you about what theyre going to do, they just do it. They get a task, they do it, and they deliver perfectly every time.

Are there any areas for improvement or something Coding Pixel could have done differently?

None, Coding Pixel has been a pleasure to work with from start to finish.

Describe the scope of work in detail. Please include a summary of key deliverables.

The team took our basic vision and wireframes and were able to deliver beyond our expectations in design and quality. It’s a complex app that requires multiple functions and though we had a fair share of bugs along the way (as you’d expect), the team has continued to adapt and improve. They’ve been able to add small features we thought of after the fact and have been very understanding. They fully designed and developed a complex app from beginning to finish.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

I don’t know a specific metric, but we did not have a product at all, and CodingPixel fully developed a live app functioning on the app-store with real-life users. They went through design, prototype, beta testing, and live launch. This measures significant progress.

Describe their project management. Did they deliver items on time? How did they respond to your needs?

They usually delivered on time, though sometimes things took longer than they anticipated so they couldn’t deliver as promised. Though they were very understanding and made sure to communicate with us.

They are always so nice and accommodating, no matter how tough situations get. also their very impressive design skill. They made a beautiful looking app

Are there any areas for improvement or something Coding Pixel could have done differently?

The only things I would say is perhaps disclose all possible costs to clients at the beginning. Including all AWS costs, 3rd party costs and so forth. Then perhaps would just make sure someone is always available to communicate in slack.
