What was the scope of their involvement?

They’re my technical side of the business. I’ve hired them for all of my projects and they take care of everything. One project was a mobile app for a tailor client of mine. The app was so the tailor could contact customers and the customers could enter their measurements to have their tailor-made fabrics ready. They can also request a home visit. They created the app in iOS native and Android native. On the backend, they used Angular and Node.js.

I work with 10–12 people on their team. The directors of the company are my main contacts.

They were referred to me by a friend. Their accountability, responsibility, and customer service towards other clients really attracted me towards them.

We spent over $15,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together in November 2019, and our work is ongoing.

They’re a great company and I highly recommend them. Their dedication and responsibility towards their clients have been awesome. They have the right resources and knowledge to take care of a number of different solutions in a timely manner.

On a scale of 1–10, I would rate them a nine on project management. We use phone, Skype, WhatsApp, email, and project management tools to keep track of the project.

Their attention to detail and comprehension of the requirements really stand out.

They could improve with their implementation of emerging technologies.

We were referred by a contact who was getting their project executed by Codezilla. They had highly recommended Codezilla.

Describe the project in detail.

KeLive is a SaaS platform that Kellton plans to develop for the UK real estate markets. We had an idea and the requirements for this new application and wanted CodeZilla to come up with CTA high-fidelity designs for the same. Using these designs, Kellton Tech plans to market it in the UK region.

What was the team composition?

From CodeZilla, we had 2 resources, one for taking and analysing our requirements and the other was their designer to come up with the designs based out of those requirements.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

We are currently getting our UK marketing strategy in place to showcase this project. However, we got the designs on par with our expectations and on the promised timeline. Something that we did not experience with other vendors.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

Highly professional and effective team at Codezilla. The requirements were understood by them without any iterations.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

The agility and professional approach to clients and their work is impressive.

Are there any areas for improvement?

Due to the short duration of the project, it's difficult to say anything in this regard.

I'm the Founder of Aid On. A social enterprise which helps NGOs to raise funds for their social projects through online fund raising channels. We provide a donation widget to companies so that their users can contribute to social causes when they check out.

We wanted to develop the donation widget to be deployed at the customers website. The software development had to be highly secure and perfect as we had to deploy it on other company's interface.

We are a startup with initial seed money. We wanted to use it wisely and get the best result. We considered going to 3 different types of software development firms. But the immense level of personalization the founders had made us comfortable at Codezilla, as we needed help in developing and ideating as well.

The software had to be developed in several languages as per the client website needs, like HTML, Ruby, Angular etc.

They met my expectations and were fast in accommodating my needs as discussed earlier at the start of the project.

They used Trello and e-mail communiciation with weekly calls.

Their thought process is great and can add value to your idea.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

They are prompt but need to be more proactive.

We’re a technology CSO and NGO, more focused on the CSO part.

What challenge were you trying to address with Codezilla Technology and Consultancy Pvt Ltd?

Our work focuses on people’s rights, and we try to integrate technology into this as much as possible. Part of Codezilla’s work was for Nigeria’s 2019 elections.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Codezilla developed an Android and iOS app that monitored elections in Nigeria. We provided wireframes to them, and they consulted us on how to build features.

What is the team composition?

There were three people from our side working on this project. I mostly worked with Codezilla’s CEO, who managed the project with us.

How did you come to work with Codezilla Technology and Consultancy Pvt Ltd?

I wasn’t involved in this process. My boss found them and gave them the contract.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working with Codezilla around October 2018, and the project finished in January 2019. We plan to continue development work with them for future elections. We have other ideas that we want to implement in the app.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Our organization used the data collected through the app to analyze the status of the election. I’m always hesitant to give metrics, since results are dependent on the level of communication we have with the team and what our demands are. I’d rate Codezilla as an 8/10. 

How did Codezilla Technology and Consultancy Pvt Ltd perform from a project management standpoint?

We used Skype to assign tasks. They were always online and available to discuss matters with us, and they didn’t robotically handle issues. They had a flexible mindset around what we needed to implement, and they came up with good ideas. 

They met deadlines, and they let us know when a task would require a bit more time than planned.

What did you find most impressive about them?

The important part I found in working with them is that they have the flexibility to think outside the box.

Are there any areas they could improve?

They are friendly and casual in their communication. Everything’s been good.

The features were delivered on time although with some bugs which were fixed in new iterations

We had weekly meetings and an open slack channel

I've found them very responsive, accommodating, and willing to go the extra mile

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

Some more attention on clean code best practices and accurate testing would have saved us some time but I am sure they are already working on it
