Working from our UI/UX, Codenest has created a responsive front- and backend on the WordPress CMS. In addition to managing an extensive site architecture, they also introduced payments and interactive tests. They safely migrated the old site onto the new one without losing its position in the search engines.

The Codenest team has created a responsive, interactive frontend using HTML5, CSS3, jQuery, and Angular. They compiled the whole project using Gulp. They built an administration panel to make the entire frontend easy to edit and maintain. They've also adapted the frontend for mobile devices and older browsers.

They are building the backend on WordPress, using the lowest number of external plugins to enhance performance and security. We use the WooCommerce plugin to launch payments on the site.

Since our project is extensive, it requires a large team. They provide a project manager, two frontend developers, and two backend developers.

The effects of our work are confidential, but they are very good.

They’re great. We had some delays in providing content to them from our side. They follow up regularly in order to keep things progressing, without being pushy. They’re always available for adjustments and address our concerns right away. If we’d had all the content in order, they probably would've completed the project in 3–4 weeks.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They provide top shelf quality. They work fast and they get things done when they say they will be done. In addition, they’re at least half the price of any high-end design shop in the U.S. The Codenest team is approachable, and knowledgeable about recommending changes and improvements.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I’m confident in how they handled our project, but I do wonder how large of a site they can create. I don’t know that they have the resources to design a site for a larger company, but I may be wrong. I do know they would be able to create a professional, beautiful, and affordable site for a midsize company.

Our company delivers online apps, mainly for business. One of the platforms we offer is a documents workflow tool. We gather information from potential customers about their needs and launch products in the prototype phase. We then work on bigger rollouts.

Our previous vendor produced disastrous results, and we had the task of recovering the app and finalizing it for the customer. This was the start of our collaboration with Codenest.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Codenest is our major vendor for IT services. They started by taking over the project working on a web app for document workflow from our previous vendor. It was developed as an open platform that we intended to launch under our own name. It would be a standard online service that would serve as a base for future implementations. It was meant to be for a customer, but we eventually did it for ourselves.

We recently collaborated with Codenest on another project, which is within an initial startup phase. We plan to launch a mobile app for eco-geeks or people who are eco-oriented. It was developed for Android and iOS.

They also provide support services. When I need to prepare material for a new business venture, they provide me graphic representations of everything related to that startup: a canvas, a business model description, diagrams, and revenue resources. Graphic services are a part of the additional services they provide. This is not a major part of our collaboration.

The key part of our collaboration with Codenest has been their accountability. This is an added value that has made a difference for me.

I have worked with previous developers that were okay but needed to be told what to do and could not come up with anything by themselves. With Codenest, I can order something and they come up with ideas for designs that make me say, “Why didn’t I think of this myself?” They exceed my expectations in terms of ideas, thoughts, and designs.

I am 100% satisfied with them. They are accountable, meaning that they accomplish what they promise. I am fully happy with the management staff’s accountability and responsiveness. I receive answers to most of my emails within an hour at most. I am perfectly satisfied with the collaboration.

Flexibility is another favorable quality that sets Codenest apart from others. They rarely or never tell me that they cannot do something because of a lack of resources or skills. They will do everything possible to hire another person promptly in these cases, possibly on a temporary basis, in order to make my order possible.
