We have used Codeinfluncer for various short to long term projects, we continue to use them for our complex tech projects, our goals were greater efficiency to the client in most of the projects , in one of them we fully automated a whole B2B ordering process for a mid size client.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

Experience and project completion was our main focus, we have seen vendors in past who would promise us the world but would not deliver, we got in touch with them thorough a referral from one of our partners and our most important demand was persistence of the company that we would engage with , and codeinfluncer has exceeded expectations.

Could not share the complete scope due to NDAs. but key deliverables were Online ordering system of complex product iterations, Limited OCR capabilities , integration with existing systems like myob , xero , and couple of custom on prem manufacturing softwares . Tech Stack : PHP Laravel , Ruby on Rails, ASP.net , Flutter for apps

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

One of the star project were were able to reduce time and resources down 80 % , this was a team of 8 people before and after it was managed by a single person that too part time, also the order processing pace was up 400%

Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timeliness.

The codeinfluncer team logged us on their own scrum board , I think its a custom system designed by them to manage their projects, there were daily and weekly stand up calls . weekly with management and daily among dev and TLs .

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

We were impressed with their persistence.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

The dedicated testing team would have been great , we have to engage our own testing team , rest all was as expected.

Our website was only 5 years old but PHP5 is no longer supported by our web hosts. We were happy with the functionality and design of our site but needed all the code upgraded or rewritten in PHP7+.

SOLUTION

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

We used UpWork to find a programmer who could understand our issue and chose CodeInfluencer who got back to us quickly with a solution that was going to be fast and affordable.

Describe the project in detail and walk through the stages of the project.

A meeting over Skype was all that was needed to show this vendor the scope of the issues we faced. The solution was already evident to the vendor and they took 2 weeks to come back to us with the new designs and demo site. We spent a further two weeks debugging and fine tuning the site. CodeInfluencer continues to provide support when unexpected issues occur and deal with the issue quickly.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

We are back in business. We no longer have issues with PHP5. Web site is running smoothly.

Communication was very good and our questions were answered promptly.

We were pleased that the vendor had a solution for everything we needed.

No. Pretty happy with this service level at the price we paid.

Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m the CEO of Lund IT & Webb AB, a full-stack development company in Sweden. We develop custom-made applications for customers worldwide. 

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

What challenge were you trying to address with CodeInfluencer?

We needed help making custom-made web and mobile apps for our clients. We also needed help with techniques that were less familiar to us, such as View or React.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

They worked on a medical records application. They pointed out issues and solved them for the customer, because the customer didn’t fully understand what the result should look like.

They’re currently working on a booking project for an escape room event. In Sweden, there are different taxes on the same product. The team implemented a tax system that allows us to divide the tax in the backend when a product is purchased. For example, if the product costs $500, we can divide it so there is 6% tax on $200 and 25% tax on $300. 
They have also integrated a smarter, more user-friendly frontend. It was written in PHP, and they are using a CodeIgniter framework. They blend that together with View and Angular.

We’re very strict about high-quality code that can be easily shared and understood. They took a code done by a previous developer we worked with and simplified it by scaling it down from 8,500 to 895. It was the same application with the same features overall.

We’ve spent $12,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We began working together in August 2019, and it is ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

They have had a huge impact on our company, enabling us to take on more projects simultaneously. Now, we can offer more advanced apps to our customers. By simplifying the code to our apps, it’s more understandable, so we can share it. We’re happy with their work. 

How did CodeInfluencer perform from a project management standpoint?

They’re committed to keeping deadlines and have always met them. There have been delays during the projects, usually due to feature changes made by customers, but they kept us informed. They’re responsive to problems, usually within an hour, even in the middle of the night. The communication is very good.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They are very dedicated to the project and very helpful with support. They are always tracking issues with the application. We’ve worked with developers all over the world, and they are the absolute best. We were nervous at first, based on past experiences with offshore developers, but they proved themselves with the first project.

Are there any areas they could improve?

They need to improve their website, showcasing their skills and abilities better for potential clients.
