Starting with a Peatio open source code, during 2018, we have developed and deployed a cryptocurrency trading platform to production. Our idea was to start his own cryptocurrency trading platform as soon as possible with a basic setup of functionality and add new functionality step by step

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

The challenge of the project was to develop and deploy a production cryptocurrency trading platform in very short terms - 3 months. On the other hand there was a long features list for upgrading service step by step after the production start and that’s why the solution we were looking for has to be flexible, easy to add new features, scale, update and improve.

We have done market research which shows us that the optimal way of doing that project is using open source solution Peatio as a basis of the project.

Here is our “Done List”: developed a new modern front-end single page application with night and day mode, modern construction of charts; implemented our own multilanguage mechanism; implemented our own push notification mechanism; implemented modern methods of two-factor authorization; implemented integration with several payment gateways for fiat currency connection; implemented cold wallets and hardware wallets management, and multisignature; implemented SEO optimization; upgraded admin-panel, with new features of regulatory control of payment gateways, withdrawal and deposit monitoring of fiat currencies and coins, hot and cold wallets management, limits and fees management for verified and unverified users, manual and automatic mode of query evaluation for fiat currencies and coins withdrawal;

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

Codein management has created a dedicated team that consist of Ruby (RoR) developer, front-end developer, devops, html developer, QA, PM/BA. A roadmap has been created that has set milestones for every stage of project creation from POC and MVP to next features implementation. As a result, during 2018, we have developed this project into a full-size cryptocurrency trading platform.

We moved along a certain roadmap step by step. We were constantly in touch and could always clarify something via Skype.

I am the chief business development officer at PayPong, a FinTech platform that offers clients online loans, online payments, and P2P transfers.

We hired Codein Software to audit our problematic codebase, which had been built by a previous team. Specifically, we needed a group to evaluate the overall quality and performance of our platform, and identify opportunities for scalability.

What were your goals for this project?

Our primary goal was to build a system that is stable and functional.

We asked one of our business partners if they knew of any reliable and professional web development companies, and they gave us contact information for the Codein Software team.

Describe the project and the services they provided in detail.

Codein Software initiated the project by analyzing our existing code and offering recommendations for improvements. The team then started building new features, including a streamlined payment architecture that allows users to accept public money transfers. They updated our major changes of credit module and integrated several different utility payment tools into the platform. Their team also implemented an automatic reporting feature. They provided system maintenance, QA, and post-launch support of the product.

What was the team composition?

Their team included four senior level developers, a project manager, a business analyst, a QA engineer, an HTML developer, and a DevOps engineer.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Can you share any information that demonstrates the impact that this project has had on your business?

When our collaboration with Codein Software began, our team was spending about 40% of its time on fixing issues with our software. Soon after the project started, that number fell to approximately 25%. Their architecture changes have eliminated all of our previous bugs, and we’ve been able to shift technical support responsibilities away from some of our call-center representatives and financial specialists. We’ve also seen our total percentage of successful loan repayments rise to about 15%.

This new stable platform has allowed for the creation of improved features, and we’ve been able to use these updates to enhance our client evaluation process. We now have an efficient tool that allows us to concentrate on the core of our business.

How was project management arranged and how effective was it?

The team from Codein Software used agile development methodologies and gave us access to project details through Jira. They also created a pre-launch version of the app through TeamCity that we could use to test new features. Their project manager was consistently available via Skype, and we met in-person when needed. They also created reports and invoices for us after every sprint, which allowed us to make changes and pay for components that were already finished.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

The team was extremely competent and flexible. They had an answer for every question, and a solution for every problem. Also, several members had a deep understanding of FinTech, which led to quick responses to many of our inquiries.

Are there any areas for improvement?

I can’t think of any areas of improvement. I would advise future clients to become deeply involved in the analysis and planning stage of their project. Codein Software has a creative team that can build innovative features, so it’s important to make sure their plan fits with your vision and requirements.
