I'm a senior manager at one of the top three global RPA technology companies. Part of my responsibility is to manage strategic projects and new initiatives.

We hired CodeGlo Tech & Marketing to build from scratch, our Partner Portal including a mobile app, for our Partner community engagement based on the Salesforce platform.

The goal was to ensure an industry leading experience for our Partner ecosystem across multiple touchpoints. We also use CodeGlo Tech & Marketing for custom development on the Salesforce platform for Partner benefits scoring and tracking.

How did you select CodeGlo Tech & Marketing and what were the deciding factors?

We evaluated 3 other vendors for the project and eventually selected CodeGlo Tech & Marketing for their flexibility, willingness to go the extra mile in meeting our requirements. Their understanding of our stated and unstated requirements along with superior customer focus and willingness to partner with us on the journey made them an obvious choice and win the selection process.

Describe the scope of work in detail, including the project steps, key deliverables, and technologies used.

We had several meetings on the initial requirements. The CodeGlo team quickly turned around the technical solution design and managed the delivery of the overall requirements in multiple build sprints. We launched the project in multiple phases, building on each phase in an agile way as we added new functionality with each release.

The project delivery is ongoing and follows a CICD methodology. The project is based on the Salesforce platform with integrations across may other technology pieces (custom web development, Salesforce apps, integration with 3rd party applications, and middleware components)

There are 5 people in the core team, including a Project Director, a Project Manager and 3 developers.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

We have significantly increased Partner community engagement and are able to serve or Partners better as a result of this project. automated Partner onboarding, benefits tracking and automatic provisioning of key deliverables to our Partner community have benefited from this project.

We have daily scrum calls, and track progress over Jira. Give the flexible nature of the team, the project team is able to deliver quality results within the committed timelines.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

The team is available and works across time zones. Their flexibility and our easy access to senior leadership are impressive.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

Given the fast paced nature of the developments, the technical documentation sometimes lags behind. We have put in place an approach to bridge this gap and the team is catching up on the technical documentation now.

I’m the senior director of IT at a world-leading robotic process automation company. We cover any process that can be automated using robotics.

This is one of the fastest-growing enterprises today. We have close to 2,000 employees globally, and we operate out of 20+ countries.

What challenge were you trying to address with CodeGlo Tech & Marketing?

The problem area we were looking to solve revolved around website development. We also had mobile app requirements for customer events, and we were looking to build other custom mobile apps, including for the house's financial procurement side.

When we started working with CodeGlo, we were a very small company. I’ve been with the company 8–9 years, and I’ve seen it scale and go through different challenges. One of those was scaling our web presence, moving out from a small-sized, local architecture to a more enterprise one, something that would be less vulnerable from a security perspective.

The issues in front of us were standardizing, getting a great UI, and strengthening the backend. Getting a strong and trusted web development team in the backend was one of the first things we wanted to solve.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

CodeGlo is providing web development services. They’ve helped with a lot of our localization efforts, as we’ve scaled over 20 countries.

They helped set up our university LMS. They also looked at our web security, including the single sign-on implementation with Salesforce.

The team developed our customer and partner event app for iOS and Android. We’d used a ready-made application in the past, which didn’t give a great customer experience.

Once we started scaling the events to a different level three years ago, we realized that the mobile app experience needed to be at the same level.

CodeGlo was already working on the web registration piece of our events that we ran four times a year in pre-COVID days. We challenged them to create a mobile experience for our attendees, which we were upwards of 2,000, in-person at various regions.

What is the team composition?

I’ve interacted with many members of their team, including developers, support staff, and members of the executive team. They assign a project manager for every project, who introduces the team before kicking off and acts as our main point of contact.

How did you come to work with CodeGlo Tech & Marketing?

We got in touch with their owners through some references, and they’ve been supporting us ever since.

How much have you invested with them?

The cost so far is definitely upward of $1 million.

What is the status of this engagement?

Our ongoing engagement with their team started more than five years ago.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

The app has a brilliant UI, and our attendees greatly appreciated it. It was what we imagined.

How did CodeGlo Tech & Marketing perform from a project management standpoint?

We’re a fast-growing company, and our requirements and timelines are very tight. We’ll think of an idea and want to implement it as fast as possible before the competition catches up with us.

One very important thing is that CodeGlo is extremely diligent about the work they take up. They’re very conscious about documentation. This is critical, especially in a rapidly-changing environment.

They’re working remotely across different time zones, but they’re available 24/7, no matter the challenge. They provide us updates and timelines at various stages of a project. I’ve never had a chance to complain about a deliverable that wasn’t done on time. I wouldn’t have worked with them for many years otherwise.

What did you find most impressive about them?

The team makes a conscious attempt to be part of our company, and they don’t behave like a vendor.

CodeGlo has worked actively to become an extended part of our team. They understand what our core issues are, and they make fixes in very creative ways.

Are there any areas they could improve?

We’ve challenged them at various stages, from the initial mobile app to our website's security and the single sign-on on Salesforce.

With every challenge we’ve thrown at them, they’ve learned and how to come out successful. The collaboration has been positive from a learning perspective. We’ve given them barebones requirements, and they’ve quickly come out and helped us solve those problems.

They found the resources and made it happen for us. Every time we’ve given them a new technology or challenge, they took it up and came out successful.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

I’d recommend them to anyone looking for these types of services. To get the most out of them, I’d recommend that clients open their doors and engage with them. They really try to partner with the customer and understand the root of the problem, both people- and technology-wise.

I’m an office manager at a construction company. We build custom residential homes.

What challenge were you trying to address with Codeglo?

We needed help with web design and getting our services online by creating a digital marketing outreach so that clients could not only see our websites but also find us through searches.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

We had a couple of initial meetings where we talked about what we wanted the website to look like and the market we wanted to reach, which is people who are looking to spend a bit more on building a house. 

We then provided Codeglo with our content, and they worked on making it look attractive on the website. The team then designed our website and did the backend system as well.

On our website, we have photos of completed homes. Since we’re always completing new homes, we wanted to be able to upload our own photos so that we didn’t have to go to the team all the time. 

Once the website was designed and developed, they then started on digital marketing, specifically SEO. They asked us what we thought our customers would be searching, and we gave them those keywords. They’ve been helping us to make sure that when people search those words, they find us.

What is the team composition?

We have one main point of contact, who is a project manager. My guess is that there are 4–5 other teammates working on this project.

How did you come to work with Codeglo?

We heard about them through a referral from another local company. We spoke with a couple of people, but we felt that overall, Codeglo would give us the quality that we were looking for on a limited budget. 

How much have you invested with them?

The initial website was under $10,000. Since then we’ve spent some money on SEO as well, so probably $12,000–$15,000 in total.

What is the status of this engagement?

We began working with them in the summer of 2016, and our engagement is ongoing. The website was completed in the first year, but Codeglo still provides regular support.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

Their work is of very good quality, and I’m happy with everything. We’ve received a lot of feedback from customers who have found us through our website. They say that it’s helpful to see photos of homes that we’ve already built and that the design is very clean.

In terms of SEO, we’ve gained customers through our website, and we’ve also heard that when people search for us, our name comes up right away, so I know that that aspect has been successful. 

How did Codeglo perform from a project management standpoint?

Codeglo is very easy to work with and has good communication skills, which is something I was nervous about. When I have questions, they always get back to me quickly. They had a lot of experience and were able to draw on what worked for other companies in the past.

What did you find most impressive about them?

What I really value is their customer support. They’re attentive to any questions or concerns that I have, which is great because I don’t have an IT background. They explain why we needed certain things or why those things may be helpful. Additionally, they provide great quality for a great price.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, nothing comes to mind. We’re very happy with everything.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

It’s good to have an idea of what you want and what your goals are, then Codeglo can help make it happen. You have to be clear about what you want and your budget.

Codeglo Tech & Marketing did website work. For one of my websites, the team built a way for me to do video work with clients and to give clients access to certain files. They also manage my Instagram, Facebook, Twitter and have done promotions.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

The internet part of my business is responsible for about 60% of my new clients, which is high. When COVID-19 started, I stopped doing my traditional advertising. In fact, June 2020 was a better month than I’ve historically had, and that was driven by what Codeglo Tech & Marketing did. 

How did Codeglo Tech & Marketing perform from a project management standpoint?

Codeglo Tech & Marketing communicates very clearly. They respond quickly. One time we thought somebody had hacked the website, and the team got right in and solved the issue in 24 hours.

As I’ve got to know other people in my industry who have used other providers, I’ve been shocked at what they’ve had to pay to get the results that I’m getting. I feel like I’ve received incredible value and great results. 

If I need to have something tweaked, I am able to easily get a hold of them. I talk to my point of contact a couple of times a week. They are really great with deadlines.  

What did you find most impressive about them?

I feel like I’ve received incredible value and great results. Sometimes they finish their work 2–3 weeks earlier. They understand the concept of underpromising and overdelivering.

Are there any areas they could improve?

For a novice like me, it would’ve been nice to have a clear picture of how they see everything unfolding in the early days. Now, I no longer feel the need to know all of the details. 

I now know that I can trust them. They’re not perfect; we all make mistakes once in a while. However, whenever there have been mistakes, they've always been small and have been fixed quickly.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Just go for it. You won’t be disappointed. Stay in communication with them, and be clear about what you want and need. Also, don’t expect to be educated in the details.

Vyper Motors is a distributor and supplier of high quality, American made industrial supplies. I am the Vice President.

We hired Codeglo for our website and inventory management.

What were your goals for this project?

Our goals for this project were to set up a structured and organized way to manage our inventory with an in house, fully custom backend solution.

SOLUTION

How did you select this vendor?

We selected this vendor because of their reputation in the development market. We've heard nothing but great things about Codeglo and they truly do deliver excellence.

Describe the project and the services they provided in detail.

They set up our custom backend inventory management system. In other words, they custom built a database with all of the hundreds of thousands of different SKU's we had all with different customizable options and they implemented a system where we could easily search and track inventory with a few clicks of a button. Now, we can simply type in our own SKU number and that specific product along with all updates about it are shown.

What was the team composition?

We had 5-10 personal developers working alongside us throughout this entire development process. Each and every day we discussed what needed to be done and how they were going to achieve it.

Can you share any information that demonstrates the impact that this project has had on your business?

This project has allowed us to build the confidence of knowing exactly what is in our warehouses across the world at anytime and rest assured knowing that every time we look up an SKU/product, that all of the details are correct and the inventory is accurate. This gives us the confidence we need to bring on more prospects.

How was project management arranged and how effective was it?

The collaboration was phenomenal. We communicated directly through WhatsApp which allowed us to communicate daily and respond quickly to immediate needs. We also used Google Meets for a lot of our conference calls. Each member was very helpful and extremely skilled.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

I found it most impressive the persistence and dedication that this company has towards every single project they work on. Not only that, but the relationships that Codeglo is able to build with each of their clients is phenomenal. They made development easy. They completed every duty before the due dates that were set and even cut costs to our projects tremendously by finding easier solutions.

Are there any areas for improvement?

The only area of improvement we can think of is having them move a location in the United States so I can meet the entire team!

I’m the director of global website development and marketing at a software company. 

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

What challenge were you trying to address with Codeglo Tech & Marketing?

They’ve had their hands on a lot of different projects for our company. This particular project was for a global website. 

Initially, their work started with a security audit because the site had been hacked several times. Over the years, they’ve continued maintaining the website. 

Codeglo Tech & Marketing is our agency for development, site security, and localization. 

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

The start of the engagement predates me, but they started with the full audit. That audit is then handed off to the development or IT team to make changes to the server or at the application level. Over time, they’ve helped with maintenance, development, and QA. 

On the server level, we’re using AWS EC2, elastic cloud, and multiple servers. We have redundancy and load balancers as well. On the application layer, we use Joomla for the CMS and MySQL for the database. For the CDN and firewall, we use CloudFlare. 

What is the team composition?

Throughout different aspects of work, we work with around 29–34 people.

How did you come to work with Codeglo Tech & Marketing?

I wasn’t there when we started working with them. But since their development team works out of India, their costs are extremely reasonable.

How much have you invested with them?

We spend roughly $627,600 a year. The price has increased over the years.

What is the status of this engagement?

Codeglo Tech & Marketing started working with our company in 2015.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Our numbers have increased since their work started. We use Google Analytics to see if their work is optimizing and effective. We also keep track of the subdomains they’re testing and making sure they’re set up correctly. 

Our pace of work can be difficult to maintain. It’s a load on the whole team. It’s not uncommon for us to have anywhere from 300–350 tasks hit our queue on a regular basis. Within those, 20 or 30 could be top priority. We’ve had some quality issues, but that isn’t entirely on them because of the pace we have them working at. Their team is doing as good as they can under the pressure. 

How did Codeglo Tech & Marketing perform from a project management standpoint?

They’re flexible, even working weekends when needed. If there’s a special product launch or conference that requires everyone to be on hands, they’re pretty responsive to that. 

Their project manager collaborates with my project manager. They work together very well. We have a weekly meeting with them. I have a list of 10–12 different measurable goals and tell them how to track them for that given work. 

We have a Slack channel, and we expect every developer to be available if they’re working a shift to communicate. We also use Jira to manage tasks and put comments in there. If it’s something urgent, we use Slack to get a developer’s attention on a certain task. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

Along with their resources being affordable, they’re quick to add more resources if we need them for development and QA. Some other agencies need several weeks’ notice. They’re more flexible than other similar providers. 

Are there any areas they could improve?

There can be some challenges can with quality when working with any agency, but we can’t fully put that on them. The busier we are and the load we’re under with budget constraints makes it hard to add more resources at times when we could really use them. This can lead to human error.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Set clear expectations for quality work and put it in writing.  Then have weekly review meetings to discuss what’s working well and what should be improved.  I found this to work the best with agencies.
