They built and executed an application for my business that would involve booking and online shopping. It’s available on iOS and Android. I provided design layouts of what I was looking for and they presented different phases, including building and design.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

The quality was great. I’ve never done this before so I don’t have much to compare it to. That being said, it was a great job, overall.

How did Cloud Ten Labs perform from a project management standpoint?

We mostly corresponded through Skype messaging. I would always get a response within 24 hours, if not sooner. They met all of our deadlines. I was very pleased.

What did you find most impressive about them?

I loved how easy it was. The team was amenable to changes, and they were clear about how much everything was going to cost. It was a very easy working relationship and I have a lot of gratitude.

Are there any areas they could improve?

They executed whatever I asked for but, initially, I kind of went with what their designer presented. Later on, I didn’t really like it. They were fine with me making changes at the very end with design.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

I learned it’s really important to bring forth what you want so you can present it to them. That’s how they can get the best understanding of what to give you.

What challenge were you trying to address with Cloud Ten Labs?

I hired Cloud Ten Labs to help me design a prototype for an e-commerce app I wanted to develop. I wanted to be able to build something to take to investors.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

The app is a marketplace for protected imagery — like a photo-sharing app, but the photos are for sale. We essentially created an automated system to release the images, so that users can create value for the photos and videos they take. 

Clout Ten Labs tackled the project in two-week sprints. The initial phase was the design phase, then going back and wireframing it for the user journey. After the wireframe was set, we did the backend architecture, building the iOS- and Android-compatible app. It was all a very collaborative process.

I had one main contact, but I worked together with a larger team.

How did you come to work with Cloud Ten Labs?

I found them after doing a virtual search. I wanted someone relatively local, but also reasonably priced, which is why I ended up picking Cloud Ten Labs.

The project took place from February–June 2019.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

The app looks stunning. The color palette is beautiful, and the UI is really sophisticated. We haven’t launched the app yet, but we’ve already partnered with some photographers who are making an extra $2,000–$3,000 a month.

It was a really seamless process. We had weekly calls with the team, and there was a lot of transparency between us with what they were working on at any given time. That frequent communication really helped us avoid bottleneck.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Their efficiency and their low costs set them apart, especially compared with the quality of what they delivered and the turnaround time.

Are there any areas they could improve?

There’s nothing that comes to mind.

I am the CEO of Gowivo, Inc. A start-up company that will enable our customers to get their laundry done in a very easy and intuitive way by simply tapping one time on our app and have their laundry picked up, washed, dried and folded and then delivered back to them.

We wanted to create a well designed and beautiful app that was very user friendly and completely intuitive.

We took a look at 10 different developers. We stared by learning about them and studying their portfolios of work and the reviews associated with projects and other customer experiences with them. We narrowed the search as we felt better about some than others and we ultimately chose Cloud Ten Labs.

Once we selected to go with Cloud Ten Labs, we reached out to them. We had a series of phone call interviews to lay out the scope of design and functionality that we wanted for our app. This process went very well and I was pleasantly surprised at the amazing customer care and input from the team.

Initially I connected with a project manager and soon after was introduced to the person who would be the lead developer for our project. The communication with them and among them was excellent.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

After they had a good understanding of our needs, they went on to setup milestones with completion of those milestones by a certain date. They were always very punctual and many times achieved milestones before they were due.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

I could not imagine a better workflow between my team and theirs. Cloud Ten Labs is an amazingly effective team for getting things done. The way they accomplished that was with constant and effective communication between our team and theirs.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

What I found most impressive was the almost instantaneous response to questions and requests by us. Also, the quality of ideas for development and design.

Are there any areas for improvement?

I can’t think of anything I would’ve asked for that they didn’t deliver consistently on.

I’m an engineer for a shear baler logger manufacturing company. We sell our machines internationally and also run a recycling facility. My job entails process improvement and some development engineering. Basically, I have the ability to go throughout the company and determine areas that need improvement. I design tools and various solutions to help improve technicians and safety-related items.

What challenge were you trying to address with Cloud Ten Labs?

We wanted to go paperless when it came to our technicians conducting machine visits either to install or respond to maintenance calls. Our other goal was to provide a customized manual for each customer. Essentially, when they’d look at the manual, they’d actually be looking at their machine.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Cloud Ten Labs handled the iOS app development of our platform using Xcode. I created a beta version, and then they helped me improve the process and make it faster. They essentially enhanced the app and made it easier for the technicians to use. We wanted to make the app as simple as possible so there’s no confusion when using it.

Basically, a technician would go into a job and enter the customer’s information. Next, they’d have the customer sign off on the work completed and then show pictures of the parts they utilized for the job. This is effective for service calls and machine installation because they can show the customer all the different parameters of the machine.

By having the customer sign off, they’re making sure the customer knows how to operate the machine and understands its safety aspects. There’s an extra level of transparency because the customer signs off that the machine was installed satisfactorily. These are the main functions of the app.

My main point of contact is Nathan (Founder and CEO), and Wang (Co-Founder and CTO) works on the app.

We really wanted to work with someone local, and Nathan is also based out of Bakersfield, California. Our team was drawn to the fact that they had a great track record of high-quality work. Cloud Ten Labs also offered the best prices we’ve seen — which is an added plus.

Our ongoing partnership began in December 2018. We’re continuously adding features to the app.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Everyone really likes the app. What was once mailed-in paperwork is now instantaneous. This helps us speed up our billing process and provides confirmation that machines are installed satisfactorily.

If a technician goes on-site for a maintenance call, they can look directly at the machine and see what’s going on because of photographic evidence. This gives us the ability to congratulate or provide constructive feedback to the maintenance managers. Machines aren’t cheap, and an ounce of prevention saves a pound of cure.

How did Cloud Ten Labs perform from a project management standpoint?

They do a great job with project management. Our teams use Skype to collaborate. Even though we have an eight-hour time difference between us, Wang is always responding and working diligently. We’ve been very satisfied with their great quality of work.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They’re incredibly talented and made a very clean design. It works really well, even for older users. It’s been easy for them to learn and use it.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, they’ve done a really good job. I can’t complain about anything.

Be very thorough and make sure you have all your requirements laid out.

We needed a new mobile scanning app for our customers to verify and check-in patrons at events. The importance of this app is to swiftly scan tickets with long lines of patrons. This app was developed for iOS and Android with Bluetooth capabilities for physical scanners and phone-camera utilization.

We wanted a smooth app that could offer our customers both a Bluetooth scanning option and a mobile-camera scanning option.

We posted our project on a freelancing website and this team reached out with a lot of experience and a great pitch! They really understood what we wanted.

Within 3 months my idea came to fruition. Cloud Ten Labs worked effectively and efficiently. They hit all of their deadlines and were great with communication. They even helped get the app onto the app stores and provided great customer service for any bug fixes.

Great effectiveness. We coordinated our workdays so that we could effectively communicate. I never went more than a couple hours without a response to a question.

The project manager didn’t speak any English. My partner is female and he let us know he doesn’t like working w females. 
Nate was MIA throughout the project. Do not use them. They take your money and than quit on finishing it. They don’t care. The good reviews make no sense. I changed the music industry for drummers. Within two days of launching, i had over 2.3k downloads with a 5 stars rating in both app stores. i have had alot of customer feedback as well, stating how they love the response time and ease of use for the app.

The developer was very on top of things and can fix things very fast. He is responsive and truly does the best he can to do exactly what you are looking for. Nathan is also great, as the owner, he steps in when he needs too, during the development process. he overlooks his developers, to make sure they are all doing as asked by the customer.

The speed of the app was impressive! it was very fast, and accurate. there were a few bugs after launching and the developer was able to fix them all within an hour of me sending him a message. We were also having issues with push notifications, but he was able to get that fixed as well. Very good communication between all parties.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

I would have liked for them to ask more questions about what the appearance of the app or website should look like from the beginning, so we could cut down the time, Otherwise everything was great!
