We hired CloudTen Labs to build us a mobile app that will show our projects across the US to the public.

Cloud TenLabs was already chosen when I came onboard the project.

Cloud Ten Labs created a admin page where we could manage and store all of our project data for the app. In this admin page they created different sections for us to categorize our projects, such as image uploads, project location by coordinates, color coding by project type, project diescription, etc. A chat feature was also built into the app through ZenDesk.

We had one resource who coordinated with us on our app and delivered. He was one of their developers based internationally.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

Any requests placed was delivered within the week. There were a few back and forth delays on updates due to payment and conflicting developments within the app.

They communicate very thoroughly. The time zone difference causes a stall in communication due to the different times. Most responses aren't received until next day. 

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

I think they do a vry good job on portraying visually what the client asks for in terms of front end development. The app looked exactly how we planned it to be.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

The could improve more on reducing bugs when building the app, esepcially if they have the experience to have built them before and also on communicating well with their client's time zone.

Moreover, they utilized AWS to host the platform and made it compatible with both iOS and Android.

The product has since been launched, but Cloud Ten Labs continues to provide ongoing maintenance and support.

I would like for them to implement other features and sections into the mobile platform but other than that, the partnership has been great.

I am the CEO of a social reservation platform headquartered in Michigan.

We have hired cloud ten multiple times. This past project we wanted to develop a mobile app for our clients to easily locate restaurants and more. Right after the pandemic hit - the restaurant industry took a sharp left turn. We wanted to help in a way that would make an impact.

When first deciding on a developer, We searched online for app developers across the country. We had a focus on skillset, cost, and compentance. Cloud Ten Labs was able to answer my questions and understand my needs quickly. I had a quote for my project within a couple of days.

After several meetings to walk them through discovery, they provided wireframes and a mock-up of what I was looking for. After the intitial mock-up was approved, they put it through several rounds of beta testing. On my second project, Apple had initially rejected it due to the manner in which we asked for it to be built. We had a launch date set that we needed to hit, so this created a bit of a setback. Cloud ten worked diligently around the clock with me on a redesign to make sure it would hit every one of Apples guidelines. We were able to launch on our launch date!

We worked with both a front end and backend developer throughout the course of the project. Communication is always great. Questions are answered without delay. In essence, Cloud ten has become an extension of our team.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

A couple months after our app was launched, we made several media appearances , including a prominent magazine cover. Our app can be easily downloaded on the App Store, and our users love it.

Cloud ten is easy to communicate with and Provides frequent updates. Milestones are always hit on time with very little revisions. We couldn’t imagine working with any other team.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Their teams skills are far superior to what I have seen in the past several years. They definitely know what they are doing, and they know the right questions to ask- especially if you have something that you can’t quite explain. They just intuitively know. This was the second app we had them build for us, and we were thrilled with the outcome.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

We will be working with Cloud Ten for a long time to come. We have established a great relationship.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Cloud Ten Labs developed the client's mobile app from start to finish. I provided them with my ideas and a rough draft of the design. Their team then compiled the information I provided and developed a few prototypes for me. I then made a few revisions to the functionalities and designs. 

We continued to send revisions back and forth until we finalized the design. After I finalized the design, Cloud Ten Labs helped me upload the app to the Google Play and Apple App stores — they helped me set up accounts on both platforms and uploaded the app. 

The central functionality of the app is based on the law of attraction: speaking things into existence. The app guides users through different techniques to help them achieve their goals and use the law of attraction to their advantage.

A development team worked behind the scenes, but I mainly communicated with Nathan (Founder) and Wang (CTO).

The main project with Cloud Ten Labs began in July 2021, and I’ve just engaged them again to add a new feature to the app. After that feature is installed, I’ll have them continue performing app maintenance.

Cloud Ten Labs has delivered a user-friendly app that is entirely up to par regarding my expectations — I am 100% satisfied. However, the mobile app market is tough to break into, so while there have been a few downloads and positive reviews, I don’t expect to gain much traction until I invest in advertising efforts. 

How did Cloud Ten Labs perform from a project management standpoint?

Cloud Ten Labs exceeded my expectations regarding project management. They met every deadline and communicated well regarding the project progress and issues during development. I was impressed with how quickly they got to work on my project and how quickly it was completed. 

We had our initial consultation over Skype, and I generally communicated with Nathan over Skype and emails. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

I was impressed that Cloud Ten Labs could turn my rough ideas and designs into an amazing final product. Their quality of work, professionalism, and integrity was impressive, and I’ve had a phenomenal experience working with them. I’m glad I hired Cloud Ten Labs.

I think they could improve their communication. I was caught off guard by the fact that they mainly communicate via Skype, which made me initially question their reputability.

Before contacting Cloud Ten Labs, I would advise customers to communicate their exact design expectations and plans. I was unprepared when I first started with Cloud Ten Labs, and while they were able to deliver what I wanted, we spent a lot of time going back and forth to nail down my project.

I was looking to get properties in front of people.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Cloud Ten Labs created a mobile and web app for me. They started by creating a rough draft — they had a very well-written plan and timeline. 

I gave them my plans and ideas for the project — I gave them exactly what I wanted and they turned it into an app for me. They created an algorithm for a fire rating — I provided them with prerequisites and websites to source from for scoring the value of a property based on crime and vacancy rates. I did more work in that aspect than I intended, but they ended up implementing it well. 

Cloud Ten Labs added visual features to make the app more eye-catching, including off-set boxes and a fire graphic. They also joined me in consulting with a real estate lawyer to formulate a disclaimer to add to the app. 

Our next step is launching the app to users.

I mainly communicated with one teammate, but occasionally Nathan (Founder & CEO) would come in and kickstart different parts of the project if the team was running behind.

The founder of the company was originally a tenant of mine. I met him and explained my idea for the app, and then Cloud Ten Labs got back to me with a price. Nathan is a great salesman — he was able to sell the potential of app development services to me.

The price was very good — I’ve invested between $10,000–$30,000 with them so far.

We began working in October 2020 and the project is ongoing.

The app hasn’t launched yet, so there are no numerical metrics to give. Eventually, we’ll start tracking site visits and customer conversion rates. 

How did Cloud Ten Labs perform from a project management standpoint?

Their project management is great. Nathan put together a write-up of the project timeline and goals right away, highlighting each step of the process. I’m not sure how they managed the project internally.

We communicated via text messages, email, and Skype, but part of the team was overseas, so we had to work around the time differences. 

So far, they have implemented everything in a very timely manner. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

I was impressed that they could turn my ideas into a usable app — they’re very concise and detailed and have delivered everything I need so far. The quality of their finished work is excellent, and if there was ever an issue, they were pleasant about it and got corrections back to me quickly. 

The price is also excellent, we pay every quarter and the bill isn't that large. 

Are there any areas they could improve?

I would have appreciated it if they’d been a little faster in providing me with the deliverables, but other than that, they were exceptional. 

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

I would tell customers to start by giving Cloud Ten Labs all their ideas and then let their team formulate a plan. We didn’t necessarily do that with my project, but I know that’s how they often work — customers can hand Cloud Ten Labs the information about what they want and Cloud Ten Labs will deliver it.

We found Cloud Ten Labs online and compared them with three or four similarly qualified firms. The deciding factors were

1. our feeling about their approach to development
2. resources in the US and overseas
3. reviews of prior work

I provided a list of app features and we had a few exchanges to clarify a number of items. The process was iterative inasmuch as I had requests and made a few changes along the way. The project was broken up into a series of deliverables tied to payments. They used React Native, I believe.

I worked primarily with the lead developer and project manager but do not know how many other people/resources were employed on this project.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

Cloud Ten Labs stayed pretty much on schedule, achieving the milestones we originally established. We had a period of debugging, as usual, but they were very responsive and never failed to resolve an issue. The app works and will shortly be submitted to the two app stores.

Communicating on features/functions etc. is exclusively through Skype messaging which serves well enough to keep track of requests, progress, and updates --- asynchronously across time zones. I would say their informal style was appropriate to the scope and budget for this project.

Most importantly:

1. they are competent and experienced developers
2. they've proven to be trustworthy which is key to remote development work
3. they have been fair, tolerant of my change requests, and easy to work with

The app is yet to be submitted to the app stores, so I will return and update on our experience going through that process.

I did an online search and ended up contacting Cloud Ten Labs. They responded within the same day and ended up sending over a free initial quote. After interviewing other potential developers, I found Cloud Ten Labs to be the quickest to respond to any questions as well as to have the best customer service.

I had the app designed by another designer and was able to send everything over to them. The best part is that they were able to quickly understand what I needed done, and I didn't have to explain things a million times or revise anything + they were able to integrate all features I asked for.

We found them through upwork after working with a few developers that didn't pan out. In that space their professionalism and track record with other clients really shined. Next to the other devs we used, Cloud Ten stood out greatly.

I set up milestones with the CEO of Cloud Ten around Android and iOS deliverables. The first step was ensuring the UI was aligned with my designs, then we pushed into backend work. I was involved in testing the UI every step of the way. Key deliverables were testable versions of the app in Testflight and Android.

There were 2 point people that I worked with; the head of the company to negotiate logistics and the head developer who fielded all of my needs.

I was able to take my product into beta months before I was expecting to. The feedback channels were very open and the head of development was always very responsive to my needs.

The project management and organization are great, especially compared with other clients we've worked with. The deliverables and bug fixes always were delivered ahead of time and were shockingly well implemented at every step.

I found Cloud 10 they UpWork after reviewing several providers in the space. Cloud Ten understood the vision of the app and also demonstrated ability to execute on the details thru prior work.

I had already had mock ups / wireframes completed thru another firm. Cloud 10 developed bas work from them, but there were many pieces that either weren’t complete in initial round or needed refinement. The dev team at Cloud 10 brought several good ideas to solve for these gaps.

What was the team composition?

I primarily interfaced with the account lead and the lead developer, they may have had others working in the background, but I only interacted with these 2 people.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

The project went pretty much as expected / promised in terms of total timeline and app is in final stages of production, just hammering out a few last kinks.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

Generally very good. Communication was solid and frequent - very good at responding to questions, providing recommendations. Lead developer must not sleep much because he was online at all hours.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

Partnership and coming up with solutions for challenging issues. Communication was always very good. Reasonable in pricing.

Are there any areas for improvement?

The only challenge I really had was that in order to ensure all components of the app Worked required multiple parties in the app, so when we got more parties involved some new issues surfaced.
