**The Review** — Oct 22, 2020

**Feedback Summary**: The project is still in its early stages and there's not much data to share yet. However, the company is quite satisfied with their collaboration with the Cleveroad team so far. The company appreciates how the team always maintains communication with them at each step of the process.
""Cleveroad is fantastic at what they do."
"

**BACKGROUND**
Please describe your company and your position there.

I am a Project Manager at a consulting organizations for medical device businesses.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
For what projects/services did your company hire Cleveroad, and what were your goals?

We are developing a software system to aid our clients in managing quality and regulatory documentation. We initially developed our own solution using a low-code platform, but we quickly realized that solution was not scalable.

We sought the help of Cleveroad to help us upgrade, modernize and make the system more user friendly.

**SOLUTION**
How did you select Cleveroad and what were the deciding factors?

We requested quotes from several software development companies. These companies ranged in size from 1-2 people to hundreds of people. One of the deciding factors was the depth of expertise with the Cleveroad team.

There are many aspects to software development and we realized it's very difficult for one person to be excellent in all aspects. Cleveroad's team size, timeline for delivery, and cost were all key deciding factors.

Describe the scope of work in detail, including the project steps, key deliverables, and technologies used.

We are just finishing with the planning phase for our MVP and are moving into the design phase. The planning phase has laid out the details of the project in specifications/user stories. We've also approved preliminary screen designs at this point.

How many people from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?

1 - Business Development Manager
	1 - Project Manager
	1 - Business Analyst
	1 - .Net Tech Lead
	1- CEO/Founder

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

We are still in the beginning stages of development so measurable outcomes are limited now.

Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timelines.

Our experience with Cleveroad has been with a team diverse in experience. Our Business Development Manager regularly contacts us to make sure the project is running smoothly and to our satisfaction.

We have at least weekly meetings on deliverables, which are met in a timely fashion. Typically, we communicate via email and Google Meets. Cleveroad is very flexible with timing. Being located in very different time zones, they accommodate the best times for us, which is much appreciated.

Cleveroad has also been very clear about timing, stages of development, and upcoming items that are required.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

We have really enjoyed getting to know the team. Cleveroad is fantastic at what they do. They are continually providing ideas and tools to make our software function better and improve our user interface.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

The quality of the work has been great at this point. We are just entering the design stage of development, so we'll begin to see more tangibles and may have comments at a later date. To date, working with Cleveroad has been a pleasure.

Cleveroad has integrated interactive maps to make trip discovery easier and has started replacing third-party checkout components with a custom flow, giving us control over payments, vouchers, add-ons, and analytics across the funnel.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success? We're mid-build, but we're already seeing tangible wins. After cache and asset optimization, our hosting/runtime costs dropped 40–50%, and page loads are faster across key templates. Core Web Vitals now pass on the pages we've relaunched, with visible gains in LCP and TTFB. On the SEO side, early leading indicators are positive: better crawl efficiency, more pages in the index, and initial movements in rankings where the redesign is live. On delivery, we ship to production weekly and keep a tight feedback loop - new features or fixes, with fast turnarounds on any issues. Eighty percent of high-traffic pages are already redesigned, and the rest are queued behind analytics-based priorities.Describe their project management. Did they deliver items on time? How did they respond to your needs?I've led project management on our side. We plan scope together up front and work in small, near-weekly iterations, which keeps releases smooth and on time. With that cadence, we haven't missed planned release dates, and the code quality has been consistently strong - clean, well-reviewed, and stable in production. Even without a dedicated PM from their side, Cleveroad's account manager stays close to our priorities and is quick to help the engineers adjust when we need changes. What was your primary form of communication with Cleveroad?Virtual MeetingEmail or Messaging AppWhat did you find most impressive or unique about this company? What impressed me most was how flexible and fast Cleveroad's engineers are. When I asked for an additional frontend engineer, they sent a strong candidate within a day, scheduled the interview inside a week, and had the person starting two weeks from the initial request. The onboarding was easy and well organized. Working directly with their developers, I see a high level of involvement and expertise - they show up prepared, offer smart, proactive suggestions, and take ownership from start to finish. Are there any areas for improvement or something Cleveroad could have done differently?I believe that we managed to set up a very transparent partnership. Cleveroad's team is very responsive and is always ready to assist with any questions and issues.

The application has been made to provide admin control of the industrial devices (arrays of sensors, processors, relays, etc.) connected to the specified IoT Gateway. Some of the features we’ve been working on include, but are not limited:- adding of the device data using plug-in model;- extending the application's functionality with the devices inner services;- gateway control (operation control, interfaces management, control profiles switching, etc.);- user notifications using the different approaches (email/sms sending, webhook calling);- gateway applications and services management;- users management

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success? We have demonstrations quite often, so our main goal is to make sure that all new features are developed and tested prior to demo or some events. So far we’ve finished a big part of the planned functionality and reconsidered some of the features. As the project is still in active development, it’s a bit early to talk about final outcomes, but we’re happy with the result so far.Describe their project management. Did they deliver items on time? How did they respond to your needs?Project management is handled by our team. We plan all activities and assign tasks to the developer accordingly. The developer, on the other hand, estimates all features and approves them with us. We have transparent communication, so if something needs additional time, the Cleveroad developer notifies us and we discuss new timelines. Thus, the project runs smoothly without any critical delays. What was your primary form of communication with Cleveroad?Virtual MeetingEmail or Messaging AppWhat did you find most impressive or unique about this company?I can highlight code quality, ease of communication, and proactivity in solving any potential issues before they arise. Are there any areas for improvement or something Cleveroad could have done differently? No, everything is great

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success? As we had the product manager overseeing 3-4 workers at a time on the project per week, our weekly meetings oversaw many measures of progress & discussion of next steps, logic decisions, functionality decisions etc.. All while our product manager managing expectations, explaining what's possible or not in a reasonable time frame, and managing scope creepDescribe their project management. Did they deliver items on time? How did they respond to your needs?Absolutely, i'd say for TIME management, it was perfection, for the most part they delivered on what they said they would within a 10-20% bufferzone of time. As for project management, i'd say internally they did a fantastic job, we never had to worry about things getting misplaced or features getting lost in scope. If i were to do this again, i'd ask for insight into their internal Jira product management for better integration with our team, as we'd have to ask for context on things that we would have been able to find ourselves if we had proper access.(note: this wasn't really possible because of how their Jira was setup, it would show us access to all the rest of their client's work)What was your primary form of communication with Cleveroad?Virtual MeetingEmail or Messaging AppWhat did you find most impressive or unique about this company?Professionalism, extreme competence across any field of the project, in UX/UI design, implementation, proper code management & documenting etc... Their biggest plus and why we chose them, they aren't just a pair of coding hands, they have business sense and understand the feasibility or reasoning behind certain decisions before we even have tot tell them. Are there any areas for improvement or something Cleveroad could have done differently?Any new staff that is brought onboard to the project to be better integrated & "shadow" the previous person they we're replacing. First time this happened with a designer, the newest one didn't quite follow the same style & branding as the first. But the second time a team member had to be swapped, Cleveroad picked up on this error and had that integration of this new member be seamless over 4+ weeks, and not days. Immensely helpful thank you!

**The Review** — Nov 6, 2023

**Feedback Summary**: Cleveroad delivered great work, and the client was truly happy with the final product. The app’s software speed and UI were also better than the client’s previous product. The team managed the engagement well and was hands-on in addressing the client’s concerns, resulting in a smooth partnership.
"“The Cleveroad team was precise when it came to deadlines.”"

**BACKGROUND**
Introduce your business and what you do there.I’m the COO of i2 Ministries, a Christian missions training organization. We train churches in Africa, the Middle East, Asia, and South America.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
What challenge were you trying to address with Cleveroad? We hired Cleveroad to develop a ministry management mobile app that would allow churches to launch and track the progress of prayer training and evangelism initiatives.

**SOLUTION**
What was the scope of their involvement? Our first step was a discovery phase, where we did two weeks of in-depth discussions around our goals. Cleveroad asked questions about our goals to understand us and our customers. Based on that, they came up with a solution. We already built an app with a different vendor, but that app didn’t go well. Cleveroad essentially rebuilt the app from scratch — they looked into the previous product and fine-tuned the new one, adjusting the mobile app’s offering.  From there, we worked on sprints, which took around seven months to complete. After every sprint, the team delivered working APK files that we could use on Android and iOS devices. Our team was heavily involved in giving feedback to their outputs since we didn’t have a QA analyst. They built a web-based app, too. What is the team composition? We worked with nine teammates from Cleveroad, including Dmytro (Project Manager), a backend developer, a frontend developer, a mobile developer, a business analyst, and a UX designer. How did you come to work with Cleveroad? We found Cleveroad through Google while we were looking for Ukraine-based teams. I interviewed around 12 companies, most of which were in India, the Philippines, and Latin America. Cleveroad was a bit more expensive than them, but we already used a cheap company that didn’t have a sufficient skill set to build what we wanted. Moreover, we felt the most confidence in them when we talked to them in the beginning. They were well-equipped to handle our software for the long term. How much have you invested with them? Our investment was around $200,000. What is the status of this engagement? The project lasted from June–October 2023.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? We were extremely happy with the end product. We deployed the new app to a small circle of users to test how it worked in a low-bandwidth environment. We also had an active team testing the app across different devices. Overall, our internal team concluded that the app’s software speed and UI design were 100 times better than what we previously had. How did Cleveroad perform from a project management standpoint? The Cleveroad team was precise when it came to deadlines. They had pre-defined budgets based on hours, and they never went over the hours at all. The only the budget increased was after they recommended a business analyst for the project. It was a hard decision for us because it felt like an upsell — they didn’t include the recommendation in their original proposal — but their CEO got involved. The CEO offered their business analyst to work on three sprints for free to see if it was worth it for us. This was a huge gesture for us, and we were happy with what they did. We kept the business analyst until the implementation was finished. For communication, we used Google Meet for weekly meetings and Slack for daily communications. Cleveroad did the documentation on Google Documents. Having a Jira or Confluence account was more than what we wanted to spend, so they tried to save us some money by using Google Documents. However, it couldn’t handle all the documentation we had, so we switched to some other cloud-based word processing tool. What did you find most impressive about them?Dmytro did a great job — we gave them a ton of feedback after every sprint, and he ensured the team addressed those things without spiking our budget. He also ensured we had sufficient time to give feedback so the team could execute exactly what we wanted. Are there any areas they could improve? They were moving so fast. They didn’t want to delay the work, so they went ahead and developed some features even if I hadn’t approved them yet. It sometimes turned out that the feature was misunderstood and didn’t meet our requirements. Moreover, they missed some of my comments on our original documentation, so I had to give them some intense feedback. The Figma screens were also sometimes incomplete, so it was difficult to know what a specific feature was describing. Do you have any advice for potential customers?Come to the discovery phase with a defined list of specifications. Cleveroad will help you fine-tune your specifications. If you come into the conversation with vague ideas, it’s going to be hard for them to meet your expectations.

**The Review** — Jul 7, 2023

**Feedback Summary**: The Cleveroad team successfully delivered a mobile application that the client is delighted with. The quality of the code was very high. They were communicative, flexible, and efficient.  Moreover, their valuable suggestions facilitated the enhancement of the product.
""We rarely see this in tech, but Cleveroad delivered the project on time and within budget.""

**BACKGROUND**
Introduce your business and what you do there.Respondent 1: I'm the co-founder and CTO of a FinTech company. Respondent 2: I'm the COO of the company. We're a payments business in the FinTech space with a rewards proposition.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
What challenge were you trying to address with Cleveroad?R1: We hired Cleveroad to help us with mobile app development. I take care of all the tech, but my skillset stops when it comes to mobile applications. While I knew the technology we needed to use, I lacked the necessary skill set to develop it myself. To build a complete team, we sought an agency to provide all these services.

**SOLUTION**
What was the scope of their involvement? R1: We'd already built out our initial core proposition. Our open-banking payments service has been live for a while. We aimed to add a rewards and loyalty element via a mobile app. The idea is that every time someone spends via our platform as a payment method, they accrue points. As we are UK-based, they get one point for every £1 they spend. The mobile app rewards users with points they can redeem for various items, ranging from Uber or Amazon vouchers to higher-tier products like Apple AirPods and even holidays. They utilized Flutter for the mobile app for the frontend. The backend was done in Node.js, with AWS for the infrastructure. What is the team composition?R2: We had a team consisting of a backend developer, a Flutter developer, a project manager, and a business analyst. How did you come to work with Cleveroad?R1: I binged on Clutch. I knew what our budget was and what we were looking for. I went through each review, and then we filtered it down. R2: We spoke to 15 different app providers. We were very impressed with Cleveroad's approach and communication. The proposal's level of detail and the timeliness of their quote were realistic, and it made sense to go with Cleveroad. Although they weren't the cheapest, we could see the high quality from their proposal. They instilled a lot of confidence from that initial meeting. How much have you invested in them?R2: We've invested $150,000–$200,000.What is the status of this engagement?R2: We engaged with Cleveroad from January 2023–May 2023.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?R1: The project was done incrementally, allowing us to check precisely how it worked. Even before development, when the team worked on the design and the UI/UX, we could pinpoint the bits we thought were done very well and the bits we felt needed readjusting. We had our initial idea, but the Cleveroad team gave us a lot of feedback. There were things we missed from a user experience perspective, and their suggestions ultimately improved the product. R2: We rarely see this in tech, but Cleveroad delivered the project on time and within budget. The outcome was exactly what we had planned, and they delivered it flawlessly. They enhanced and elevated our initial idea beyond our expectations. How did Cleveroad perform from a project management standpoint?R2: Our team held a daily Google Meet standup to stay connected. We also communicated via email and Slack channels to check in on the project's progress with different team members. The project manager was great at providing frequent updates through Slack, and we always had direct access to the entire team if needed. Overall, it was a well-managed collaboration. What did you find most impressive about them?R2: The communication was outstanding, an essential aspect of the project's success. The quality of the work and the code were impressive. R1: Initially, we had a mini project. The team wrote the code for our core service, and I was highly impressed with the work. The developer also gave me some excellent recommendations and pointers, which I appreciated. When hiring a development team, you expect the development skills to be already present. Communication, management, and planning are the tougher side. Being a developer, I know you can be the best developer in the world, but you can't do well if you can't plan and manage the project. I appreciated that they offered those softer skills as well. Are there any areas they could improve?R2: We've been thrilled with the service. There isn't anything that jumps out. Do you have any advice for potential customers?R1: If you want to build something, give them a spec of what needs to be made, but don't overdo it. That was one thing I was weary of when looking for an agency. I gave a spec for the project but didn't want to go too deep into it. I expected the agency to ask questions if they didn't understand something. Many of the quotes we received were based on the basic requirements I handed over without any questions. That was one of the key points that put me off those agencies. They didn't fully understand what we wanted to build, but wanted to win the contract. Cleveroad asked us many questions before working on the proposal. They added their suggestions as well. They were meticulous about wanting to understand the project, making it easy to choose them as a partner. Cleveroad was very appreciative that we were available around the clock. Communication goes both ways and to ensure the project's success, it's also your responsibility to provide your time to the agency so that they know exactly what you want. R2: Echoing what my colleague has said, have an idea of what you want to bring and have the framework, but be open to their intelligent and scalable suggestions, as opposed to being fixed on precisely what you want to deliver. Cleveroad are the experts; let them add their expertise.

**Feedback Summary**: Cleveroad facilitated a successful launch and delivered a product the client was satisfied with. The team delivered on time and on budget, and they leveraged various tools to manage the entire project. Additionally, they offered useful suggestions that ultimately helped create a better product.
"“Thanks to Cleveroad, we had a successful launch, and we were very happy with the product.”"

**BACKGROUND**
Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m the CEO and co-founder of Cognate Learning Language, a company building a customized language learning platform. Our users go to our website and fill out a questionnaire detailing their professional and personal interests. Based on their responses, we build a customized learning curriculum for them.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
What challenge were you trying to address with Cleveroad?

We needed assistance in building the MVP of our platform.

**SOLUTION**
What was the scope of their involvement?

Cleveroad helped us develop all the software behind our platform. We already had a UI/UX designer internally, so we initially provided them with mock-ups. We also had a good idea of how we wanted our website to work, look, and feel.

From there, we divided the project into six sprint cycles, during which we developed the different parts of the platform, including an administration panel, a CMS, and the landing page for our website. Cleveroad was also in charge of building the user-facing lesson navigation, the lesson presentation, the practice modules, and basically, the whole software solution. Once they completed the development process, we collaborated on QA, testing the product in-house.

As for the technology stack, we used AWS for cloud hosting, React for frontend development, JavaScript and Node.js for backend development, and Amazon DynamoDB for the database.

What is the team composition?

We worked with eight people from Cleveroad throughout the project. Their team included a backend developer, a frontend developer, a QA engineer, a project manager, a business analyst, a designer, a DevOps engineer, and a solutions architect.

How did you come to work with Cleveroad?

I found them online while looking for web development companies. They had a really good portfolio, and they had done other education platform projects, so they seemed like a great fit for us. Then, we interviewed, and everything looked good, so we hired them.

How much have you invested with them?

We spent over $100,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together around mid-July 2022, and we launched our product in November 2022. However, we plan to work with them in the future once we raise more funding because we want to add more features to the product.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Thanks to Cleveroad, we had a successful launch, and we were very happy with the product.

How did Cleveroad perform from a project management standpoint?

Cleveroad delivered the product on time and on budget, which we really appreciated. Moreover, their project management was excellent — they handled everything. Their project manager ensured that everything was kept in line and on schedule; we simply approved their plan and provided them with feedback when necessary.

It took us a little time to get into the proper rhythm of working with an outside vendor; we had some growing pains during the first couple of sprints. However, the process was excellent once we got into a good rhythm.

We communicated via email, chats, and video calls, and we shared documents over Google Drive. Additionally, Cleveroad used a digital whiteboard, as well as other networking and productivity tools.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Cleveroad was very helpful, and they went above and beyond regarding their recommendations for our platform’s functionality. They suggested great improvements and different ways of doing things, which ultimately made the product better.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, not really; we were extremely pleased with their work. However, it would be great if they were more flexible regarding their engagement policy. Currently, their requirement is to engage with them for at least one sprint cycle, but it would be helpful if they provided maintenance and support for one-off issues that could be solved in one day to avoid impacting our budget.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Know exactly what you want to build. Additionally, having a technical background is very helpful. As long as you set the right expectations, you’ll be fine.

**The Review** — Nov 10, 2022

**Feedback Summary**: Cleveroad consistently delivers on the client’s requests — their team is robust enough to provide additional resources to fill in knowledge or staffing gaps. Their project manager has biweekly or weekly calls with the client, communicating through direct messages or Slack. Their team is flexible.
"“Cleveroad’s team is responsive and has a wide range of capabilities.”"

**BACKGROUND**
Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m the founder & CEO of Koralgo, a travel platform.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
What challenge were you trying to address with Cleveroad?

I didn’t have the technical skills to develop a platform. I needed a vendor to do the entire development process, including creating the specifications, the design, and the development and managing the project itself.

**SOLUTION**
What was the scope of their involvement?

Cleveroad has developed a three-sided platform for me using Node.js and React; we’re currently in the third iteration of the project. The platform has an administrative panel, a backend that holds the content, and user-facing screens. There are quite a few algorithms, including one that generates travel itineraries.

At the start of the project, I made it clear to Cleveroad that I needed the backend infrastructure to be quick and scalable. I also needed their frontend expertise for the UX/UI design. Their team initially used Invision for design but then migrated to Figma. Everything needed to be attractive to users.

The initial development took about six months, but after receiving market feedback about how we needed to pivot, we did another iteration. That feedback process repeated, and we put together a third scope of work for the third iteration of the platform.

What is the team composition?

I work with a project manager.

How did you come to work with Cleveroad?

I selected Cleveroad after finding them on Clutch. I chose them out of the other companies I looked at because they were responsive and their prices were reasonable.

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve invested $150,000–$250,000 with Cleveroad.

What is the status of this engagement?

This ongoing partnership, which began in June 2020, has been going on for three years.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

There are no concrete metrics, but whenever I request something from Cleveroad, they manage to deliver. Even though sometimes the costs they incur are higher than I expect, I’m not a professional, so it's not easy for me to assess potential costs.

How did Cleveroad perform from a project management standpoint?

Generally, we communicate through Slack and direct messages with the project manager. We also have biweekly or weekly meetings with the project manager.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Cleveroad’s team is responsive and has a wide range of capabilities. Their team is big enough to provide coverage when their teammates are unavailable or when my project needs additional support. They are very flexible.

Are there any areas they could improve?

Cleveroad team is not proactive enough. They should have given me feedback on which developments to prioritize and not let me spend money on minor features.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

I’d advise customers to push Cleveroad to provide feedback on their goals and priorities. Push Cleveroad into improving their advisory services.

The team is very organized, communicative, and proactive. They keep the project on track and provide excellent suggestions to improve the product.
"“Cleveroad’s strength has been their great communication skills and proactive approach.”"

**BACKGROUND**
Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m the product manager for a company providing supplemental nursing education to help nursing students pass their tests or improve their grades and find success in their education.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
What challenge were you trying to address with Cleveroad?

We wanted to find an all-in-one shop that could help us design, develop, and implement a new web app, as well as a mobile app.

**SOLUTION**
What was the scope of their involvement?

Cleveroad has helped us redesign and develop our web and mobile apps. Initially, we provided them with our legacy product, which they took, modified, and improved to bring to a more modern technology stack using Node.js and AWS. This product allows users to create accounts, purchase subscriptions, and access custom, multimodal content that can help them learn specific topics and understand the knowledge necessary for nursing school in greater depth.

What is the team composition?

We’ve worked with around 10 people from Cleveroad, including a project manager, a business analyst, a designer, 3–4 developers, some mobile developers, and an account representative.

How did you come to work with Cleveroad?

We went through a research process where we looked up and worked with a couple of different companies. Then, we went through a vetting phase to get a better idea of the procedures each company used. We also got some sample work and some references from them, and we ultimately chose Cleveroad to work with us.

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve spent between $200,000–$1 million.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together around June 2022, and our engagement is ongoing.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

The work done by Cleveroad has helped us improve our user engagement, activity, and signups. Additionally, our new product has improved speed and functionality.

How did Cleveroad perform from a project management standpoint?

Cleveroad’s communication has been good, and they’re very organized. They constantly ensure that projects are running on schedule and organized according to priority. We use Slack, G Suite, Jira, GitHub, and Bitbucket for communication and project management.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Cleveroad’s strength has been their great communication skills and proactive approach. They keep me up to date regarding timelines and provide suggestions and recommendations to help improve the product instead of just following instructions.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, everything has been great so far.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

I highly recommend them; they’re a great company to work with.

**Feedback Summary**: Cleveroad delivered all of the feature sets that the client required, and their work received positive reviews from users. Organized and agile, the team worked in sprints and delivered everything on time and within budget. Their technical expertise and solution-oriented approach made them stand out.
"“They were responsive, flexible, and proactive when it came to solving problems.”"

**BACKGROUND**
Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m the CEO and co-founder of Just Play, a sports technology company. We provide services for people who are looking to play social team sports like basketball and soccer.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
What challenge were you trying to address with Cleveroad?

We needed a company that could develop mobile apps for us.

**SOLUTION**
What was the scope of their involvement?

We work through about 150 physical venues where our games take place, and we built our own platform to manage everything, including payments, events, players, and bookings. We built that separately and not with Cleveroad over the period of a couple of years.

What we engaged Cleveroad to do was to build our user-facing mobile apps to then use to interact with our platform. The apps allow users to book in, RSVP, interact with their teammates, find out their game times, and receive notifications.

The deliverables were actually four different native apps. As part of our business model, we've split into two brands: Just Play and One Game. Cleveroad delivered two native apps for each brand: one for iOS and one for Android.

What is the team composition?

We worked with six people from Cleveroad, including an iOS developer, an Android developer, a UI/UX designer, a project manager, a QA person, and a solutions architect.

How did you come to work with Cleveroad?

We found Cleveroad through Clutch. We put out a light version of the scope to five different development agencies that had good reviews. We then asked them to engage us in a dialog about what technologies they would use to execute it and what they thought the timeline and budget would be. Based on those interactions, we decided to go with Cleveroad.

How much have you invested with them?

We spent around $210,000 in total.

What is the status of this engagement?

We worked on this project from April 2019–April 2022.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Cleveroad was able to deliver all of the feature sets that we wanted for our users. So far, we’ve got 130 ratings, an average of 4.6 stars, and over 10,000 downloads on the iOS App Store and 4.7 stars and over 5,000 downloads on the Google Play Store. We’ve also had very few issues in terms of bugs and errors within the apps.

Overall, having a stable app in a live environment that our customers enjoy using was a big part of our measure of success for this project.

How did Cleveroad perform from a project management standpoint?

Cleveroad performed well in terms of project management. They were responsive, flexible, and proactive when it came to solving problems. The whole project was broken up into sprints, and Cleveroad did a good job of making it clear where the project was at, how the team was progressing, and the issues they were dealing with.

Moreover, since we're a bootstrap business, we had a strict budget for this project. Cleveroad’s ability to execute the project within the initial budget and timeline was very impressive.

We used Figma for the designs and Slack for communication.

What did you find most impressive about them?

We were impressed with Cleveroad’s technical competence and skills in being able to solve problems and execute what we wanted to do at a high level. Nothing was too hard for them to do — whenever we wanted to solve a problem or deliver something in a particular way, they did their best to do it how we wanted.

But they were also not afraid to push back and make us aware of the technical options that we have so that we could make more informed decisions.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, we have no complaints. We were really happy with their work.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

You need to plan to invest the time from your side to be in regular communication with them and answer questions so that the development team has all the information they need to work quickly.

**The Review** — Apr 26, 2022

**Feedback Summary**: With the iOS app live and the Android and web solutions undergoing testing, Cleveroad has delivered positive initial results, and early feedback is very positive as well regarding the technology's UI. The client says they are intelligent and proactive, following up to get all necessary information.
""They’re able to ask the right questions of us to make the app and the other products that they’re developing better." "

**BACKGROUND**
Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m one of the founders of my company. We’re building a mobile and web app for hiring construction workers in the US and managing the entire process of getting hired within a construction company.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
What challenge were you trying to address with Cleveroad?

There’s a major problem finding qualified, skilled labor in the construction industry, as there’s no real platform. Cleveroad has built an iOS and Android app, as well as a web portal.

**SOLUTION**
What was the scope of their involvement?

The solution allows customers to log in and post jobs and review applications. We’re using geo-based location services, and the website is built on an API that allows employers to access a database of thousands of construction workers.

We’re in the middle of Android development right now, but the iOS version is live in the App Store. They’ve developed everything from scratch. In the next few months, we’re going to launch a marketing campaign and push out our services.

We used them to do the coding of our idea. They put in as much effort to the design and processes and flow of the app as we did. Not only were they writing the code for us, but they helped us along with the ideas.

What is the team composition?

We initially worked with two people, but that’s expanded to five at the moment.

How did you come to work with Cleveroad?

We budgeted the assets to be built in the United States knowing the going hourly rate, but after researching developers in Ukraine, we found them to be much more cost-effective.

I came across several large blogs that mentioned Cleveroad as a well-known firm in Ukraine for mobile app development. They’d worked with a couple of large clients, and that made us feel more comfortable.

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve spent around $70,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We’ve been working together since January 2020. My partners and I have come up with other ideas to improve our ecosystem, so what started with a targeted app and no website or Android app turned into an effort that’s ten times its original size.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

The feedback has been excellent so far, both internally and with our test customers as far as the design, usability, and functionality.

The design team and the UI team is phenomenal. We seem to work very well together. I’ve been a developer myself for many years, and I know good quality work and great design when I see it.

How did Cleveroad perform from a project management standpoint?

We had weekly meetings, and sometimes twice weekly, including different forms of communication: Zoom, Slack, WhatsApp, etc.

They’ve never missed a single deadline, not even with the Russian Invasion of Ukraine. They’re using InVision for the prototype, as well as a third-party website that we go to to approve the design layout.

We don’t have one set collaboration tool, but email has worked best for us recently.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Their team is very smart and intuitive. They’re able to ask the right questions of us to make the app and the other products that they’re developing better. Additionally, the way they're managing the situation now just blows my mind. They haven’t missed a single meeting or deadline. I’ve recommended them to several people. The product hasn’t suffered.

The best thing that they do is keep us on track, following up to make sure we answer their emails and not letting anything slip through the cracks.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I’ve dealt with a lot of mobile app development teams over the years, and I can’t say anything bad about Cleveroad. The only thing may be getting more of an internal collaboration system, as, right now, we’re spread across a number of tools for communication. It doesn’t bother us, and it’s not a dealbreaker.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

If I was recommending them to someone, I would say that they needed to have a full-time resource dedicated to whatever Cleveroad is doing. Their team is fast, and they ask a lot of questions so don’t make them wait for responses. Stay in constant communication.

**Feedback Summary**: The project was completed according to the firm's requirements; the resulting product looked and felt better than expected. The Cleveroad team was extremely professional and detail-oriented, impressing the client with their dedication to the project, work ethic, and devotion to producing results.
""They stayed directly on task and completed the project slightly ahead of schedule.""

**BACKGROUND**
Please describe your company and your position there.

As the founder of both Unified Potential, Inc. and Salmon Upstream, LLC my goal is to develop and implement technical solutions to promote the health of communities and the people that live there.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
For what projects/services did your company hire Cleveroad, and what were your goals?

By client request, we designed a novel social media platform aimed at providing a healthy environment for people involved in any type of activity or competition. When the client was unable to devote the resources to the project, we decided to develop the platform ourselves and reached out to Cleveroad to build it for us.

**SOLUTION**
How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

I have worked on and off with Cleveroad since 2016 and have always found them to be creative, professional, and capable. For example, they are constantly on top of the rapidly evolving software arena and were already versed in Flutter whereas other companies were more interested in continuing to use languages with which they were more familiar. Even during the project they were learning and applying new skills to our build.

Describe the scope of work in detail, including the project steps, key deliverables, and technologies used.

Backend Firebase and Flutter-based mobile application for both iOS and Android, DeltaSport is a secure social media platform that has all of the functionality that people have come to expect in a platform of this type.

However, the web-based admin panels allow much more stringent control over content creation and user account management than similar offerings, thereby expanding the applicability to organizations for young people including public school systems and youth sports. We are already working on adding the functionality to allow safe and secure usage by children under 13.

How many people from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?

Project manager, 2 senior designers, customer liaison, and multiple developers.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

The finished project met every expectation and actually looks and "feels" better than expected!

Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timeliness.

Extremely professional and detail-oriented. They stayed directly on task and completed the project slightly ahead of schedule despite their country being invaded!

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

The entire team seemed genuinely interested in the project and the outcome. Their work ethic and devotion to their craft is simply in another league. These are some of the hardest-working young people I have had the pleasure to interact with.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

No.

**The Review** — Nov 30, 2021

**Feedback Summary**: Users can now engage more easily with the content on the client's site. The collaborative team communicates effectively, quickly addresses issues and concerns, and provides valuable insights throughout. Cleveroad's strong work ethic and ability to solve complex issues ensure a productive process.
""They always find great solutions to the problems we encounter.""

**BACKGROUND**
Please describe your company and your position there.

I'm the owner of Crossfader, an online DJ education platform. We provide online courses and lessons for students worldwide.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
For what projects/services did your company hire Cleveroad, and what were your goals?

Our previous website was held together via many third-party plug-ins on WordPress. It had become too complex to add anything new and scale our product suite.

We wanted to add a membership and subscriptions alongside our current offering of one-time payment courses. We also wanted to create an app for our users to learn on the go. We decided to get our own platform developed with a whole new learning area and app that work side by side.

**SOLUTION**
How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

We searched online and interviewed many companies who were rated highly on Clutch. We spoke to companies based in the UK, India, US and Europe.

We found that Cleveroad were the perfect balance for us as we could tell from the start they had a strong work ethic and communicated well, whilst being priced reasonably across the global market of developers.

We needed a team that was quick to respond, suggest improvements, and were in it for the long term as this was going to be an ongoing project eventually.

Describe the scope of work in detail, including the project steps, key deliverables, and technologies used.

The scope of work for this project was huge. Because we already had a large user base and website that offered various services we needed a lot of development to just match what we currently offered.

This included a content management system, a payments system, video players, multicurrency, various user roles plus a huge database migration from our current Wordpress site.

We basically needed to build our own version of Wordpress/Woocommerce/LMS system. On top of that, we needed the new feature set to be developed too. This included a subscription model with new user roles and the ability to upload regular video content.

The video content would also be available for offline viewing in the newly developed iOS app.

How many people from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?

We had various project managers throughout as our main point of contact as the project has been going on for so long. There was a full team of developers working on this project which changed size throughout. Included were backend, front end, QA, business analyst, PM & iOS developers.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

We're still in development and updating various parts of the project but overall we have had a fantastic response to the new platform. It's much easier for our users to engage with the content we create. This development now allows our offering to grow with ease. The new admin panel is easy enough for our whole team to use and we're excited to see where it takes the company.

Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timeliness.

Because we had various project managers throughout there were different styles, however, each project manager had a weekly video call with us to provide updates and work through the next scope of work.

Communication was clear during the main development. We're now establishing a new way of working together as our main project has come to an end and we're looking at maintenance support and future smaller scopes for feature updates.

We recently set up a group Whatsapp to help with ongoing communication which has been great for those times we need a quick answer.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

They always find great solutions to the problems we encounter.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

The timing of new project managers joining the team was unfortunate. Because it was such a huge project that lasted so long there was a lot to communicate during handovers. One of the changes in PM happened a few weeks before launch which was unfortunate timing.

It would have also been great to get more feedback on some of the features we wanted to implement. Nobody in our team has a development background so there were times I feel future updates could have been avoided if the initial scope was questioned a bit more by the development team.

""We appreciated their dedication and commitment to adapt to our needs and the constant changes in the scope.""

**BACKGROUND**
Please describe your company and your position there.

I'm the Technical Lead for a start up Prop Tech services company.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
For what projects/services did your company hire Cleveroad, and what were your goals?

We engaged Cleveroad to help us develop a new Web based Cloud application platform end to end. Also being impacted due to the Covid pandemic for internal & external face to face workshops whilst also not having an inhouse development team, a limitation of full time resources & a very very tight budget.

The objectives were to run a planning phase to capture Technical requirements then a development phase to MVP; then handover for User/functional testing.

**SOLUTION**
How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

The main differentiating factors in selecting Cleveroad at the time was based primarily their previous experiences for our type of application (use cases on their website); their competitive pricing & resource rate card, their friendly personal touch & rapport they built with the team during our Vendor presales research period.

Describe the scope of work in detail, including the project steps, key deliverables, and technologies used.

The planning phase was a period off approximately 3 months, consisting of workshops with the Cleveroad team (business & solutions architects) to gather & understand our Business & technical requirements.

Deliverables consisted of meeting minutes, Lean Canvas, Features Breakdown lists, Technologies to be used, Dashboard examples, Workflow diagrams, Activity diagrams, Concept design, Infrastructure drawings, 3rd party Integrations, API research, competitor research, wireframes, Design screens, Specifications design, project sprint planning & costing forecasts for development.

The development phase was approximately 10 to 12 (2 week) sprints consisting of the solution/specifications design & ongoing Development, detailed User stories, Testing of the user stories and Quality Assurance.

How many people from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?

The core team consisted of a project manager, a business analyst, a solutions architect, the Technical lead and an Account/ customer services manager. Other backend members of the team consistent of back end & front end developers, UX/UI engineers, testers & even the CTO providing consultancy services himself.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

We received the platform as per the deadline to allow us to commence functional testing. There had been many changes of scope, new requirements along the way due to changes of the business direction & the platform that we wished to develop which resulted in some rework.

The Cleveroad team was also able to scale up the team & resource hours to meet some of these changes within the sprint to maintain the original milestone dates. The documention & diagram deliverables agreed were of a good & high quality.

Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timeliness.

Project management was a combination of waterfall & Agile framworks for managing the overall plan on a page for the Planning & devops phases. The Project management lead himeself was quite efficient with great communication skills, capturing & chasing actions & also assisting our own team manage their own pm tasks.

Added value from the project management arm was the PMO & admin support but also having technical capabilities especially when performing the technical user story tests & walkthrough Demos for us at the end of every sprint. Lateral thinking & delivery manipulation to the project plan & traditional sprint delivery to hit the same deadlines after changes was an added bonus & capability.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

We appreciated their dedication and commitment to adapt to our needs and the constant changes in the scope; & patience in getting a steer back from us which was sometimes delayed due to internal resource being part time.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

We had discussed the possibility of moving towards fixed price engagements to help us with budgetary controls & forecasting on the platform development & releases going forwards. Other areas we requested during the monthly customer experience meetings was to be provide some more consultaitive & advisory input into our thoughts & development. Which the company started doing as the relationship grew.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**

**SOLUTION**
How did you select Cleveroad and what were the deciding factors?

They contacted us and we verified their technical background and skills.

Describe the scope of work in detail, including the project steps, key deliverables, and technologies used.

After preparing the specification document we started with a smaller project, to evaluate the way and quality Cleveroad is doing their work. Like the main project, the development was using Angular framework. After the project was passed to our satisfaction we introduced the main project to them and went through specification phase. They were responsible for the development itself and test API creation.

A project manager was our main point of contact, which changed during project execution. Several (~5) frontend developers and UI designers were involved.

They tried their best to understand our current solution and bring in new ideas to improve it. The execution of the project was very professionally organised and the project manager was very capable and skilled.

"

**BACKGROUND**
Please describe your company and your position there.

I am CEO and founder of a startup headquartered in Irvine, CA.The company was formed from the passion to connect students to educators.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
For what projects/services did your company hire Cleveroad?

We set out to create a platform to connect students to educators. Unfortunately, it would be much too long for an in-house developer to take on the project without help so we've looked into outsourcing the development.

What were your goals for this project?

We wanted to develop a minimal iOS build to get feedback from beta users. Then improve the applications from users' feedback before we develop the android version.

**SOLUTION**
How did you select Cleveroad?

My team searched online for app developers in our area and overseas. We made a list of three based on their case studies. We contacted each and selected Cleveroad based on their price point which we felt was fair.

Describe the project in detail.

We had several discovery meetings via skype to discuss goals and objectives with our project manager. Within two weeks, we received flowchart and wireframes for the iOS build. After revision, some logic doesn't flow and Cleveroad went above and beyond to help our team think through the process.

What was the team composition?

Initially, we were in contact with sales. After we selected to hire Cleveroad for the project, we were assigned to a project manager as the main point of contact throughout the project. For development, they had a team of frontend, backend and QA to support the project manager.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

During beta, there were several bugs. Cleveroad addresses the issue immediately and new patch were released within days. We've requested a few minor changes to address usability issue and these were worked on fairly quickly.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

Our project manager is always on top of things. All concerns are addressed within hours. Communications were always clear.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

Their team are very knowledgeable and always give honest feedback when we requests to implement additional features.

Are there any areas for improvement?

We've worked with Cleveroad since 2016 and are very satisfied with their work.

**Feedback Summary**: Cleveroad was able to finish the project successfully. Poor communication led to an unsatisfactory workflow between the vendor and the company. The client was not able to give feedback since it was hard for them to grasp the project's progress. The team can work on being detail-oriented.
""Honestly, the services were average and they did not stand out for any specific part of the project."
"

**BACKGROUND**
Please describe your company and your position there.

I am the founder of a restaurant marketplace company. My company is under the process of development of a mobile application for our marketplace.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
For what projects/services did your company hire Cleveroad?

We hired Cleveroad to develop the wireframes, specifications document (user stories) and detailed estimation.

What were your goals for this project?

Our goals was to quickly develop such deliverables in order to have a better understanding of how our product would look like and start as soon as possible the development, which required wireframes and user stories. With the estimation we would also know the investment necessary for such project.

**SOLUTION**
How did you select Cleveroad?

We selected Cleveroad after speaking to many different companies. We received numerous proposals and Cleveroad’s pitch was the one which impressed us with cost benefit we were presented with. We have a couple of calls and decided then to begin the development phase.

Describe the project in detail.

The project was very simple. Our product has a mobile application for uses to interact with the vendors and a web application for the vendors to manage their content and orders. The project was simply to describe it more technically through a specifications document, provide wireframes to show logically the user flow and where each feature is located in, as well as a detailed estimation document for the whole project bearing in mind all the features.

What was the team composition?

2 part time requirement analysts, unknown number of part time designers and 1 part time business developer

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

The project was successfully translated into a detailed specifications document which helped considerably to understand the product and to consult with other companies and future partners.

Cleveroad was also flexible with the services provided and we were able to trade part of the wireframes development hours for the creation of a design concept. We were very appreciative of this and it certainly helped us.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

That point was where we started to have problems. Previous to starting the project, I was told that there would be around 3 weekly meetings to discuss the progress and any other detail.

However, when the project began, very few meetings took place and some weeks had no meetings at all. When the business developer was inquired about having more meetings, I was told that it was being done that way in order not to waste time.

It certainly did not contribute to less time being spent since it was harder to understand the progress and give feedback with the poor communication that was taking place.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

Honestly, the services were average and they did not stand out for any specific part of the project. The only part which I deeply appreciated was the possibility to exchange some of the wireframe hours with design concept creation, this demonstrated flexibility.

Are there any areas for improvement?

Many. I decided to write this review is in order for Cleveroad to acknowledge that the Planning phase needs to have immediate improvements. Communication was very poor, deadlines were not met at all and upon the end of the project, I received an email that said that the services were fully provided but it lacked one essential deliverable: the detailed estimation.

Many of the feedbacks given were not taken into account and were not altered, many spelling mistakes in the wireframes. I believe that the greatest areas for improvement are: being more detailed oriented and providing everything exactly the way explained and promised in the contract and when the pitch was first given.

**Feedback Summary**: Leveraging a well-defined process, Cleveroad maintains a high level of collaboration. Their responsiveness, dedication, and knowledge set them apart.
""They hustle, they get tasks done quickly, and they keep me focused."
"

**BACKGROUND**
Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m the co-creative director and co-owner of Weill Media LLC.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
What challenge were you trying to address with Cleveroad?

I hired Cleveroad to help me re-create a basic MVP for an Android app that I made. The previous proof-of-concept was riddled with problems, multiple inefficiencies that made it slow. I’d worked with three other groups to fix it and realized that I needed to start again from scratch.

**SOLUTION**
What was the scope of their involvement?

Cleveroad designed and executed the app from scratch. They delivered a user interface and code to get it to the point where we could launch it on the Google Play Store. We plan to also create a premium version and an iOS version as well.

What is the team composition?

I provided a liaison who serves as my point person. I rarely interact directly with developers or designers outside of meetings.

How did you come to work with Cleveroad?

I found Cleveroad through a Google search, but then verified them using Clutch. I was considering about four or five other development teams, but Cleveroad seem professional and met the financial requirements of the project.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started in December 2018, and the project is ongoing.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

The quality is high, mainly because of their process. They press me to define what I need and then confirm that with me before they execute. When you're trying to develop software, it can get very muddy, and you can't see the forest for the trees. Cleveroad has this process that makes everything clear.

As a result, they’ve created an app that functions well and doesn't crash very often. It's very stable and intuitive. They simplified what I was trying to accomplish.

How did Cleveroad perform from a project management standpoint?

One of the aspects of their team that I’m very impressed with is their responsiveness. They hustle, they get tasks done quickly, and they keep me focused.

I’m happy with the tools that we use. InVision has been particularly helpful. We also communicate via email and shared Google docs.

What did you find most impressive about them?

I got the sense that they were very dedicated to the success of the project, and their actions bore that out. I feel like I have a team of knowledgeable folks in my corner.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Keep up with their process and focus on communication. If you do, they’ll be able to resolve issues quickly.

""After one month, we had over 10,000 users."
"

**BACKGROUND**
Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m the CTO of Oppcar, a car inspection service.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
What challenge were you trying to address with Cleveroad?

We hired Cleveroad to develop our mobile application.

**SOLUTION**
What was the scope of their involvement?

In the beginning, we started with specifications and planning before tackling the design and development phases. When we began working with Cleveroad, we already had the MVP.

Their team developed our mobile app that allows customers to inspect used cars. The app gives a report for each vehicle, along with a set of questions and answers. Users can also buy a warranty for the car.

Because they had to adapt a lot of French government processes, the inspection process of the app was a bit technical — the complex information needed to be precise since it was being sent to the government API.

The team at Cleveroad completed the development, design, and analysis. The app was built for iOS and Android. Swift was used for the iOS version. The backend is in C#, and I believe the frontend is in JavaScript. They also created a CRM. Their team provided support after development, as well.

What is the team composition?

We started with a team of four. At the end of the engagement, about eight people were working on our project.

How did you come to work with Cleveroad?

I was trying to find a company based in France, but a lot of them were outside of my budget. I looked around and found Cleveroad on Clutch. We paid them one month for specifications while asking them to give a precise estimate of the project. The engagement could stop at any stage we wanted, but development began in April.

How much have you invested with them?

The project cost $60,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

Our engagement with Cleveroad started in October 2018, and the work ended in August 2019.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

The team at Cleveroad provides quality work, making changes as necessary. After one month, we had over 10,000 users. The impact has been excellent. We’ve put a pause on marketing while we raise more funding.

How did Cleveroad perform from a project management standpoint?

From a project management standpoint, they were perfect. We had excellent communications with them. Their team works fast, makes propositions, and delivers on time.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Cleveroad does their job well, delivering on what their clients need. Communication with them is great.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, I enjoyed working with them.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Clients should know what they want. Cleveroad’s team is great, but they work on ideas. They understand the project but aren’t familiar with the market. We had to provide them with some insights into our country. They can give some input, but it’s still the client’s job to know what they want.

**BACKGROUND**
Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m the owner of a medical startup for hospitals and clinics that operates nationally in Denmark.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
What challenge were you trying to address with Cleveroad?

I needed a company to develop my web application.

**SOLUTION**
What was the scope of their involvement?

At the start of the project, Cleveroad gave us a detailed description of how our web application should look along with wireframes to show us their idea for the design visually. During our initial discussions, they explained which technology options were available to use.

Once they selected Angular for the frontend and Magento for backend, Cleveroad started the build. At this time, our project is still under development.

Our web application helps people find the right doctor for their needs. It includes special search filters for location and types of specialists. The sorting functionality also highlights specific positions and levels of experience.

What is the team composition?

The team includes three web developers, two frontend developers, one backend developer, a project manager, and a QA engineer.

How did you come to work with Cleveroad?

I found Cleveroad through an online search and received a lot of positive feedback about their company.

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve spent over $35,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together in 2018, and our project is ongoing.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Cleveroad delivered a web application for our company that performs well.

How did Cleveroad perform from a project management standpoint?

Cleveroad divided the work into sprints. We haven’t had any issues with communication. They are very responsive. The project manager communicates fluently in English, our preferred language.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Cleveroad always meets our deadlines. Communication with the team is very high-level.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I wish I could be in closer contact with the developers. Being able to explain our needs to the developers directly could potentially accelerate the process.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Haste makes waste. I would advise future clients to plan before you start building your project.

**The Review** — Oct 1, 2018

**Feedback Summary**: Cleveroad built a high-quality app that's received lots of positive feedback from testers thus far. Extremely accommodating, communicative, and fast to turn around deliverables, working with their team continues to be seamless. They also genuinely care about the project's success.
"“Cleveroad helped us build an app that's one of its kind–and they did it well.”
"

**BACKGROUND**
Introduce your business and what you do there.

I'm the owner of Unified Potential, Inc., a company that's developing a cooperative transportation app.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
What challenge were you trying to address with Cleveroad?

We engaged Cleveroad to develop our mobile app from scratch.

**SOLUTION**
What was the scope of their involvement?

Cleveroad helped me establish mockups based on my requirements and design ideas, and built an MVP app for iOS from scratch. They incorporated Stripe as a payment gateway, as well as GPS technology and other features that allow different types of users to connect with a variety of transportation options. They've also helped us source a local website developer to complement the app.

What is the team composition?

I work with a few people directly, including a sales/client representative, a lead developer, and a project manager.

How did you come to work with Cleveroad?

I initially found them through an article they published about their experience developing an Uber-style app. Since they had the expertise in building apps within the transportation industry, I knew they had the proven capabilities to work on this project.

How much have you invested with them?

We've invested about $100,000 on development for both iOS and Android. After realizing our budget limitations, we decided to just build an MVP for iOS for now.

What is the status of this engagement?

We've been working with them since 2017 and the relationship is ongoing.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

The feedback we've received from about 25 beta evaluators has been very positive. Cleveroad helped us build an app that's one of its kind–and they did it well. The features and functionality they built out are very impressive, and they've turned around deliverables remarkably fast.

How did Cleveroad perform from a project management standpoint?

They've been very accommodating throughout the engagement. Despite their offshore location, we haven't had any issues with communiciating or language barriers. As someone with little experience in app development, they've done an excellent guiding me through the process.

They thoroughly captured the scope of the work in a 120-page document, and have done an excellent job of meeting all requirements.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They're genuinely interested in our project, which makes the relationship a lot more enjoyable.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No. They've been a step ahead of me throughout the process, and I'm very pleased with their work overall.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

The biggest challenge in a project like this is knowing exactly what you want, but if you can find a way to communicate the details to their team, they'll be able to deliver it.

**The Review** — Sep 12, 2018

**Feedback Summary**: The MVP’s release was met with praise from users, complimenting the app’s speed and functionality. Despite some scheduling issues, Cleveroad’s responsiveness, organized workflow, and determination made them a valuable partner, consistently delivering high-quality work.
"“We feel like they’re a part of our company, rather than an outsourced partner.”
"

**BACKGROUND**
Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m the CEO of Ayoo AG, and we’re developing a mobile app called Ayoo. The solution teaches users how to dance and allows them to share videos of themselves dancing.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
What challenge were you trying to address with Cleveroad?

We needed a development partner to build the app.

**SOLUTION**
What was the scope of their involvement?

I provided a series of sketches, then Cleveroad’s designer built mockups that captured my vision. After approving the user-stories, we transitioned into the programming phase. The team fully developed an iOS version of the app, but we plan to build an Android version soon.

Cleveroad implemented all of our requested functionalities, including a few unique features. They built a complex duet function, allowing users to record a duet using a video posted by another user. Aside from collaborating with other dancers, this function is part of the learning process. Our users can compare their moves to those of a more experienced dancer, helping them assess their newly learned skills. We also offer a battle feature, where users can challenge each other through the app and the community votes on the winner.

We market the app through Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube, and we’ve also attended some events. Because we’re trying to test the most effective strategies, these efforts have been modest. We’re currently preparing for a bigger push, using feedback to better target our users both in terms of marketing and in-app experience.

What is the team composition?

We have two full-time workers on the project. I mostly interact with a product manager, who is supported by a developer. For specific technical questions, we are free to contact the developer directly.

How did you come to work with Cleveroad?

We conducted an online search for global developers, and Cleveroad was mentioned near the top of the rankings list. After contacting a few of the featured companies, we had a series of interviews and provided some information on our project. We asked the potential candidates to submit user stories so that we could get an idea of their approach. Cleveroad was the most impressive, and they offered a reasonable price.

How much have you invested with them?

We spent over $100,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together around August 2017. The app was live by February 2018.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Despite only being an MVP at first, our app’s user feedback is largely positive, specifically regarding its performance and speed. Cleveroad worked at a good pace, delivering reliable and stable code.

We made the important stuff first, like the social media features, and now we’re working on more functionalities to keep users interested. With every update, the app continues to receive compliments.

How did Cleveroad perform from a project management standpoint?

I’m in steady contact with the product manager, who handles any problems, submits deliverables, and answers questions. Cleveroad is very responsive and attentive via Slack, documenting all of our conversations to better organize the workflow. Communication is key to our partnership. We feel like they’re a part of our company, rather than an outsourced partner.

We scheduled the project in a series of weekly or biweekly sprints, meeting after each to trade feedback. The team was willing to work overtime to meet our needs, but sometimes we went over the deadline. The work never overruns by a lot, so their estimates are still relatively accurate.

What did you find most impressive about them?

We made the app design with another company, who also offered to code it. Compared to their proposal, Cleveroad is much better. In looking at all of the providers that I considered, they also stood out in terms of price and quality.

Are there any areas they could improve?

It would have been helpful if they provided an Amazon Web Services expert. We had to bring in an external resource to handle those specific needs. Aside from that, they performed well.

Any advice for potential customers?

Instead of asking the vendor to draft sketches, clients should do that work internally. It’s important that they clearly define their vision for the app, providing the vendor with a concrete example of how the app should look and function.

**The Review** — Sep 10, 2018

**Feedback Summary**: The app has been well-received in early demos by users who are impressed by its quality and design. Working through a streamlined process with a focal point project manager, Cleveroad produced work to a high-quality standard. They were responsive, communicated well, managed expectations, and met deadlines.
"“They met deadlines and the quality of the work that they produced was always to a high standard.”
"

**BACKGROUND**
Introduce your business and what you do there.

I'm the founder and CEO of a cloakroom management platform.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
What challenge were you trying to address with Cleveroad?

I wanted to build a mobile application to assist with cloakroom management including the process of checking items in and out. I had a basic idea of how the application would work but needed support to design and develop the customer-facing app for iOS and Android as well as a business-facing Android application for tablets.

**SOLUTION**
What was the scope of their involvement?

When I first approached Cleveroad, I was put in touch with a high-level project manager with whom I discussed my needs and who gave me an initial estimate of what it would cost to create an MVP. I gave them information about my requirements. I wanted to know what level of difficulty the application I had in mind constituted and generally what it would cost. They took the information I gave them, analyzed it, and came back to me with estimates.

They provided design services and developed both iOS and Android customer-facing apps for me from scratch, starting with the iOS app. I provided them with my requirements and wireframe mockups.

What is the team composition?

My main contact was a project manager but I also worked with a finance manager.

How did you come to work with Cleveroad?

I found them through Clutch. I needed a company with a high-level focus and extensive experience building mobile apps. I also wanted in-house design services to bring all of the work under one roof. Cleveroad seemed to place a lot of emphasis on its mobile application work. I looked at reviews for a number of companies and Cleveroad’s seemed particularly positive. I reviewed their website and ultimately decided to go with them.

How much have you invested with them?

I’ve spent around $40,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together in August 2017. The initial development was completed in July 2018 but other work is ongoing.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

The app has been very well received in terms of its quality and appearance. I've demonstrated the completed app with a couple of people in order to get feedback on it. One person commented, for example, that they were incredibly impressed with it. They thought that I could have been showing them an existing competitor product.

How did Cleveroad perform from a project management standpoint?

I communicate with the project manager via Skype chat and have been in contact with him almost every working day for the last year. They're always quick to get back to me. If I wanted to add a feature or make substantial changes, I’d discuss it with the finance manager and he would discuss that further with my main project manager. They’ve been responsive throughout the whole process.

They work in two-weeks sprints and were generally on-time. They manage my expectations and let me know if there are times they won’t be available. On the few occasions where things unavoidably slipped or deadlines had to be moved, they kept me informed and always did their best to make up for lost time. They met deadlines and the quality of the work that they produced was always to a high standard.

Being based in Ukraine, they effectively adopt a midpoint in terms of cost—more expensive than work that might be produced in Asia but less expensive than working in Western Europe. The only issue is that it can be easy to run up additional hours if you want to add features.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They clearly have a large team but everything is filtered and managed through a single project manager. My project manager is able to take whatever requests I may have—whether technical, QA, or design—and send that directly to the relevant person, having understood the issue. It makes for a streamlined process at all times.

Also, given that they’re a Ukrainian-based company, I was particularly impressed with the quality of their spoken and written English.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, nothing immediately springs to mind.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

They seem very capable of tackling pretty much any project. They’ll be upfront with you about the anticipated costs, complexity, or difficulties that they might encounter.

They're very good at listening to ideas and giving you positive as well as negative feedback on new features that you might suggest. There were a few occasions, for example, when I suggested adding or tweaking certain features. They came back and explained why that wouldn't be the right thing to do at that time which, on reflection, I always agreed with. They’re good at helping to critique their own work as well as fulfilling your wishes.

""I appreciated their punctuality in organizing meetings."

**BACKGROUND**
Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m the business development manager for a company that provides photovoltaic solar systems in the form of mountings and shingles. Our company was founded in 2011 and has 14 employees.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
What challenge were you trying to address with CLEVEROAD?

Our website was out of date, making it harder to sell our products. It gave the impression that our roof systems were in the same condition, so we decided to not only redesign it but to also add some new screens and features.

**SOLUTION**
What was the scope of their involvement?

CLEVEROAD redesigned our site and added new functionalities, including an admin panel and a product catalog. It's built using the Squarespace CMS.

What is the team composition?

We worked with two backend developers, two UI/UX designers, one QA engineer, and one project manager from their team.

How did you come to work with CLEVEROAD?

We were looking for a reliable vendor and checked the feedback from multiple companies. CLEVEROAD had lots of happy customers, so we chose them.

How much have you invested with them?

The cost of the redevelopment was around $25,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working with CLEVEROAD in September 2017. The project took five months to complete, ending in January 2018.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**

CLEVEROAD’s work helped us attract new clients and increase the company’s profit. As a business development manager, I can say that our sales have increased since launching the new site. Our customers can now get a good idea of the high-quality products we sell. The site offers more information and the product catalog displays our full range of products.

How did CLEVEROAD perform from a project management standpoint?

We communicated via Skype and used an agile methodology. Their performance was great and deadlines were met but we wanted to have the site ready even sooner.

What did you find most impressive about them?

I appreciated their punctuality in organizing meetings.

Are there any areas they could improve?

The general development time could have been shorter. We wanted to launch the site as soon as possible.

**The Review** — Jan 11, 2018

**Feedback Summary**: Cleveroad’s prototypes have been attractively designed and functional. They are accommodating to scope changes, respectful of meeting times, and able to engage in efficient and meaningful conversation. Cryptocurrency experience and the ability to provide accurate deliverables are also notable.
"“Their design work is the most impressive thing about them.”"

**BACKGROUND**
Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m the founder of a small financial company. I became interested in cryptocurrencies a few years ago and decided to launch a small project with the aim of tracking prices of popular coins.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
What challenge were you trying to address with Cleveroad?

Since users couldn’t be online all the time, I wanted to develop an application which would notify them any time a cryptocurrency they were tracking rose in price by a certain amount. I wanted to have an interactive design since users prefer smooth and nice-looking apps.

**SOLUTION**
What was the scope of their involvement?

Cleveroad took my suggestions into account as they worked on my Android and iOS app. The design was one of the main requirements. One of my biggest challenges was explaining what I wanted, since not many IT companies in the world work with cryptocurrency technology. It can be hard for a developer to understand what I want, so the challenge was to determine the scope of work for Cleveroad.

I wanted to have an iOS app because most users purchasing cryptocurrencies are from the U.S. and tend to use iPhones. In Europe, people tend use Androids more.

They are handling the full scope, including design, frontend, and backend development. They have a marketing team, but I didn’t ask for this service. I have another channel for promoting the app and decided to do it myself.

What is the team composition?

From what I recall, two developers are assigned to each platform, along with frontend coders and an experienced designer.

How did you come to work with Cleveroad?

I have some friends in the IT world who have been working with Cleveroad for a long time. I asked for some suggestions, and I was given a website link for their company. I checked out remote teams from other countries as well, but I liked Cleveroad more after meeting with them a couple of times. They were familiar with the cryptocurrency field, so I chose them based on experience.

How much have you invested with them?

We haven’t worked on a fixed price since the project is more unconventional. I’ve invested between $20,000–$50,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together in September 2017. The app is still in development. It has taken longer to complete because I requested building it for two platforms.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

I could measure their success based on the design prototype they gave me. This was an important area for me, and Cleveroad’s work was wonderful. There were a couple of things I wanted to change, but I’ve generally been 100% satisfied with their design.

I receive a working prototype every two to three weeks, which I appreciate. I’m not a developer, and I haven’t given the source code to other people to check, but the prototypes have been working well so far.

There was one big change during the process when I requested a new feature. We changed the scope of work and decided how we could achieve it. The feature was unique, which made it harder for them to understand what I wanted. However, we were able to make that change.

How did Cleveroad perform from a project management standpoint?

We mostly communicate through WhatsApp and email. I don’t spend a lot of time on Skype because it’s an older technology. I was given a Jira account for task tracking, but I haven’t used it very much. I prefer looking at the working prototypes.

This was my first project working with an IT company, so it was difficult to explain my goal. However, they’ve always respected meeting times, and our conversations have been clean, fast, and meaningful.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Their design work is the most impressive thing about them. I was able to see a live product that Cleveroad built for my friend, and it impressed me. I was impressed again when I saw that they were designing and implementing my idea as I wanted it. I don’t know how strong they are in terms of coding, but I’ve appreciated their design, as have other people.

Are there any areas they could improve?

We’ve had some misunderstandings around the tracked development hours. For example, they’ve told me that they spent 35 hours developing a feature, but I later found out that it took 40 hours. This was not a big problem, and we’re still working within our development timeframes, but time tracking could be improved.

They completed the work on time and within budget and did well in communicating status updates throughout the project.
"“They are responsible and skilled, and their work speaks for itself.”
"

**BACKGROUND**
Introduce your business and what you do there.

I'm the owner of Skibhus Dyreklinik, a veterinary clinic.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
What challenge were you trying to address with Cleveroad?

I want citizens of our city to find the best clinic for their pet. If their pet is ill, they can search the Internet, but it takes time, and sometimes they don’t find the right clinic. I decided to simplify it and create an app.

**SOLUTION**
What was the scope of their involvement?

I discussed the details with the manager of Cleveroad. He told me he would get an estimation of how much the project would cost and a few days later, I got an email with the quote. After I approved the quote, the work started.

They built a mobile iOS and Android app for us. Users can search veterinary clinics and get full information about each clinic. I wanted to build it for both platforms to draw a larger audience. My goal was that all the clinics could add detailed information to the app, and clinics could be located on a map with the precise address.

What is the team composition?

There were two iOS and two Android developers. I worked with an account manager.

How did you come to work with Cleveroad?

I was looking for a company from Europe that wasn’t far from our country. I found them on Clutch. I found out there are many benefits of outsourcing software development to Ukraine. There are many good reviews about Ukrainian developers, and my choice fell on Cleveroad. They have lots of experience and have worked with many customers around the world.

How much have you invested with them?

I have spent $15,000 so far.

What is the status of this engagement?

I started working with them in September. We are in the last stage of development, and they will help me launch the apps.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

They are responsible and skilled, and their work speaks for itself. They do everything according to the customer’s requirements. They also offered new services to be integrated into the software that are reasonable.

It’s not finished yet, but I tested the final sample and I liked it. I’m sure it will be popular in my city and the search for veterinary clinics will be simplified.

How did Cleveroad perform from a project management standpoint?

They have stayed on schedule and on budget. The project manager provided me with information about the project at each stage. We use Skype to communicate.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They are responsible, skilled, and offer new services.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No. Everything was good.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

I will keep collaborating with them after our project is complete. They do everything well, and I recommend them.

What challenge were you trying to address with Cleveroad?
I decided to expand my business by opening an online store. I needed a vendor to design and build my e-commerce site.

**SOLUTION**
What was the scope of their involvement?
My primary goal was to create a clean, simple site for customers to quickly place orders. Cleveroad suggested a CMS system that serves that purpose and makes it easy for me to manage the site’s content.

I work directly with a project manager, and they also provide two front-end developers and a designer.
How did you come to work with Cleveroad?
I considered local companies, but found them too expensive. I stumbled across Cleveroad’s YouTube channel and decided to contact them. Their ground executives showed me their impressive portfolio and they offered a competitive price.
How much have you invested with them?
The estimated range they provided is between $10,000–$50,000. At this point, I’ve spent $3,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
We started work in August 2017 and our relationship is ongoing. The project isn't urgent since I have another venture I'm working on. I told them to focus on quality over scheduling.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
The site isn’t live yet, but with the regular updates I’ve received, I can tell that the project is coming together. We’ve nearly reached the final stage.
How did Cleveroad perform from a project management standpoint?
I’m not especially tech-savvy, so it was important for me to have a project manager who could keep me informed about the process. The one they provided is wonderful. He can sometimes be late to meetings, but this is understandable given that he stays in constant communication with his developers while managing multiple projects.
I prefer to communicate via email, so this is our primary method of contact, though we also use Jira, WhatsApp, and Skype on rare occasions.
They’re also very receptive to feedback. I once called them about a design element I disliked, and they changed it the very next day.
What did you find most impressive about them?
They offer the perfect mix of quality and affordability for any medium-size businesses.
Are there any areas they could improve?
It’s sometimes difficult to reach my project manager since we operate in different time zones. It would also help if they were more accurate with their cost and schedule estimates.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Trust them. They understand the development process and give their clients peace of mind.

**Feedback Summary**: They provided high-quality app development at an affordable price, leading to a successful partnership. The lead project manager was very helpful, offering guidance and strategy along the way.
""They gave me what I had been looking for for years."
"

**BACKGROUND**
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I am an entrepreneur and I created a mobile app.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
What challenge were you trying to address with Cleveroad?
I wanted to create an app that would help me become a master of the guitar. I always wanted to learn how to play the guitar but it was difficult for me to find the time and motivation to do it. I decided that I needed an Android mobile app that would remind me to do my guitar exercises every day. Since I do not have experience in software development and programming, I needed to find a good IT company that would turn my ideas into reality.

**SOLUTION**
What was the scope of their involvement?
The vision of my future app seemed unusual to me, so I was a bit embarrassed and I didn’t know how to explain it to someone else. But, everything was perfect. To start, I had a Skype session with Cleveroad’s project manager and he said that my idea was really interesting and that I could end up popularizing this particular type of app.
As a result, we discussed project feasibility and the project manager wrote down everything with a  promise to send me a more detailed plan after he spoke with his Android developers. After one day, he contacted me and showed me how the app could look and what design it could have. The designers made a trial design to show to me and after a detailed discussion, I approved the first development stage.
How did you come to work with Cleveroad?
First, I read reviews about worldwide software development companies to find the one with an optimal price range and good quality. Cleveroad interested me because of their experience and acceptable price policy. Also, I saw a lot of positive reviews about them online so I trusted them my project.
How much have you invested with them?
$10,000-$50,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
The project started at the beginning of June 2017 and it was completed at the end of the same month. Perhaps I will return to Cleveroad again if I need some add-ons in my app or updates.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
From the very beginning, I planned to create the app for my personal use, so I didn’t release it to the Google Play store. I haven’t become a famous guitarist yet, but I have started to make good progress. And even if I don’t want to play guitar today, the app reminds me that I should not ignore today’s lesson if I want to improve. So, the app motivates me to move forward and achieve success.
How did Techugo perform from a project management standpoint?
We used Trello, JIRA, and Testrail.
What did you find most impressive about them?
This was my first experience an IT company, but I am more than satisfied with Cleveroad and the experience they provided. They gave me what I had been looking for for years, and, as I mentioned earlier, our collaboration may continue in the future.
Are there any areas they could improve?
For now, I have no criticism. I got what I wanted for a good price.

**The Review** — Oct 3, 2017

**Feedback Summary**: Initial testing reveals stable apps that function well without critical defects. Responsible project management and quality work contributed to an enjoyable collaboration and overall satisfaction. While there have been a few estimate discrepancies, their cost-value ratio surpasses their competitors.
""I’m quite satisfied with how things have gone so far."
"

**BACKGROUND**
Introduce your business and what you do there.

I co-founded a startup with a friend, but we’re not yet an official company.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
What challenge were you trying to address with Cleveroad?

We needed to develop mobile apps for iOS and Android.

**SOLUTION**
What was the scope of their involvement?

Our app is an event detector that locates users and displays nearby events. It also includes a search function.

Cleveroad designed both of the apps because all we gave them to work with was a general idea. Both versions, iOS, and Android are almost complete. They’re currently in the testing stage, and we hope to launch soon.

What is the team dynamic?

I’m not sure how many people from Cleveroad were involved in the development, but I’ve collaborated with 3 people during the project. I communicate with their manager, their sales representative, and the CEO of the company. I had no contact with the developers.

How did you come to work with Cleveroad?

We searched for IT companies online and browsed companies via Clutch. We contacted a few, but we weren't satisfied with their prices. Cleveroad had the lowest price, so we decided to follow up with them. While there were slight differences in each company’s offers, price was a key factor in who we hired.

How much have you invested with them?

We invested between $10,000–$50,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

I think we started working with them in April 2017. We finished most of the collaboration with them in September 2017, except for testing.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

The apps didn’t have any critical defects or bugs. Everything has been quite stable, but we still need to implement a few things, such as clear detection and search results, and visual appearance. I’m quite satisfied with how things have gone so far.

How did Cleveroad perform from a project management standpoint?

I would rate it as a 4.5 out of 5. Cleveroad’s manager is quite responsible, so everything went OK.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Nothing specific comes to mind. In general, my experience has been good, and I’ve enjoyed the cooperation.

Are there any areas they could improve?

There were small differences between the end result and the original estimates they provided, but they weren’t critical. It’s still a work in progress, and I understand that not everything can go perfectly.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

I would advise future customers to do their own research before starting a project. I did so and I'm satisfied with the results.

**Project Summary**: Cleveroad developed an Android mobile app for internal use. They included a chat feature, as well as a secure method to send and store data during internet connectivity issues.

**The Review** — Sep 25, 2017

**Feedback Summary**: Cleveroad was organized and clear in the app's projected functionalities, which led to a transparent development process and successful product. Although a shorter delivery time was preferred, the app met expectations and helped increase efficiency overall.
""[E]verything was explained very clearly ... I knew exactly what I was paying for."
"

**BACKGROUND**
Introduce your business and what you do there.

We are an agricultural company in Latvia, made up of more than 200 employees and established in 2007. We grow crops, but mostly rye. We sell our products in the domestic market and to Lithuania.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
What challenge were you trying to address with Cleveroad?

We have about 20 fields. They are scattered across the area, so we have to communicate with our employees somehow. It was difficult to find a platform that would satisfy all our criteria. We tried many chats, but they didn’t meet our demands. The worst part was that some areas have a very poor internet connection, so we also needed something that could work in an offline mode and then synchronize data after the connection was okay.

We are not the only company in this industry. The market is very competitive, which means security was also important.  We decided to create our own secure and reliable messenger for our employees.

**SOLUTION**
What was the scope of their involvement?

We needed a mobile application, solely for the Android platform, as we provide our staff with Android mobile devices.

They developed a chat with different levels of access. We also have lots of paperwork and it is not an option to send them by post or usual email. They created a system that scans, transfers, and stores these documents. If a person is sending a document to another person who doesn’t have good internet connection, then all the data needs to be synchronized after the connection is back. They made a solution for this as well. There also had to be a way for the data from our electronic forms to be stored in a cloud and give people access to it, according to their level of access.

How did you come to work with Cleveroad?

We contacted a few companies in our country and abroad, and asked for the contact information of their past clients. We found a businessman who had a very similar project and Cleveroad created an app for him. He was absolutely happy with his product. This persuaded us to choose Cleveroad.

How much have you invested with Cleveroad?

We've invested somewhere between $10,000 - $49,999.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started in January 2017 and finished in May. After that, we had a month of beta testing. We began using the application in July 2017.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

It is much easier to contact our colleagues now. The paperwork is much easier to do. All the documents are stored in a secure place, so we spend little time acquiring them if needed. It is much easier to control our staff. I believe that we've become even more efficient now.

How did Cleveroad perform from a project management standpoint?

We used Jira and Trello.

What did you find most impressive about them?

We liked that everything was explained very clearly. I knew exactly how the system was going to work and what technologies were going to be used. I knew exactly what we were paying for.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I think we could have finished the project a little earlier, but the delay was minimal, not critical.

""They are extremely communicative and ready to answer all my questions practically anytime."
"

**BACKGROUND**
Introduce your business and what you do there.

I own a medium-sized news website.

What is your role at the company?

Founder.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
What challenge were you trying to address with Cleveroad?

I discovered a long time ago that it would be more convenient for my audience to digest content through a mobile app instead of just a website. I spent a lot of time thinking about features for the first mobile app.

I decided to use advanced targeting options along with reward points. Synchronization of our content from the website to the mobile app was the main technical challenge that was hard to solve.

**SOLUTION**
What was the scope of their involvement?

They provided me with design and mobile development for Android and iOS.

How did you come to work with Cleveroad?

I’ve found their website on the Internet when I was searching for some information connected with mobile development.

How much have you invested with them?

We spent $50,000 - $100,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We worked with them for 5 months. We started in March 2017 and ended in August of this year.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

The result is satisfying but the app is not currently released.

How did Cleveroad perform from a project management standpoint?

They are extremely communicative and ready to answer all my questions practically anytime.

Are there any areas they could improve?

There were insignificant delays in the development process, which is normal. I still think their timeline management can improve.

""[Cleveroad] created a great design that is both eye-catching and convenient."
"

**BACKGROUND**
Introduce your business and what you do there.

My company deals in shipping solutions for various businesses.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
What challenge were you trying to address with Cleveroad?

We realized that it was necessary to move in the direction of digital services to compete with other companies. We decided to create a logistics e-commerce platform to help our customers to cooperate with us in more convenient way.

**SOLUTION**
What was the scope of their involvement?

The main challenge was to make the transportation process clear for our clients, as well as provide them with convenient and clear order processing and payment. We wanted to work with Node.js and Express.js. Cleveroad proposed a number of features to solve the challenges facing us.

How did you come to work with Cleveroad?

I was searching the web looking for information related to logistics solutions and found Cleveroad. I found an article they had written on a relevant topic, read it, and decided to contact the company to discuss what we wanted. Their prices seemed competitive, so we started our cooperation. I only contacted Cleveroad because they had what I needed.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

There are no metrics to share at the moment because the project is still in beta. We are planning to launch it in few weeks. Overall, I have no criticism of their company or the final product.

How did Cleveroad perform from a project management standpoint?

Their team was as transparent as possible. They sent us updates on a regular basis but at the same time, we were not overloaded with lots of unnecessary information. Their team has high-level project management skills, not only because of the regular feedback but for their timely delivery of the solution.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Cleveroad proposed a lot of features that were ultimately implemented in the final product, and their suggestions were much appreciated. They also created a great design that is both eye-catching and convenient.

**The Review** — Jul 28, 2017

**Feedback Summary**: The app created by Cleveroad has been used for about 5 months, making the job a lot easier while effectively delivering data in real time. The team was receptive to changes and only one minor bug was found, which was fixed quickly. They also were patient in explaining things in layman’s terms.
""They are a professional team and it was a pleasure to work with them."
"

**BACKGROUND**
Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m the owner of a logistics company engaging in inter-city transportation. We have multiple trucks with different loading capacities and we deliver different goods from one city to another.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
What challenge were you trying to address with Cleveroad?

Our drivers are always away delivering different types of cargo around Austria. All our cars are equipped with GPS trackers, but those can only show where they are at the moment. It was difficult for me to track how many kilometers each driver drove in a day, so we decided to develop an app to track the information and have it sent to me in real time.

**SOLUTION**
What was the scope of their involvement?

Cleveroad focused on mobile app development for Android; I already had my own database. My employees and I use the app. I also have friends in the same industry from other countries in Europe, so I’m hoping to spread the app to Germany and more.

I haven’t used Cleveroad for website development but I know they also provide those services. I might use them sometime when I need to make an upgrade or to connect the site to the mobile app.

How did you come to work with Cleveroad?

I searched on Google and one of my friends told me to look not only in Austria but also in other countries. He said that there are firms to outsource the work to that provide high quality at a low price.

I came across Cleveroad because they were one of the first companies to show up on Google. I read their blog and found out more about their services. I ended up writing a request and got a reply in 15 minutes. I liked the quick reply because I like to work fast; other IT companies replied 6 hours later or more.

How much have you invested with them?

I spent $7,000 on the app.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started the project in November 2016 and it was completed in January 2017.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

The project was successful and Cleveroad’s service was great. I could test the beta version and let them know of any changes I wanted. There was a small bug that didn’t allow more than ten drivers to log into the app at the same time. Since all my drivers are young and use mobile devices, that wasn’t acceptable for me. I asked the project manager to have it fixed and it was done in a couple of days with no problems. The rest of the app is perfect. Now, I can see the distance traveled by my drivers.

We’ve been using the app for 4 or 5 months. I can see all the numbers in my app now, and it’s easier for me to see my drivers’ locations. It has made my life and job much easier. Also, the drivers are satisfied and are learning some of the extensions of the application so that we can communicate with customers.

How did Cleveroad perform from a project management standpoint?

The project manager was always on Skype with me and easy to reach. Everything was clear even though I’m not an IT person and they patiently explained things to me. They are a professional team and it was a pleasure to work with them.

What did you find most impressive about them?

I like the way they communicated and how they treated me. I’m really satisfied — they created a high-quality product for my company and I would definitely recommend them to my friends. They also communicated the timeline really well and spent around 7 weeks building the application. I don’t think I could find a better company.

Are there any areas they could improve?

There was one bug in the first version of the app, but they fixed it easily. Everything was fine but the price was a bit high. I was expecting to spend $6,500, but I would rather pay more money for the quality than for fixing things later.

What advice would you give potential clients of theirs?

Don’t be afraid of the rumors; some people can say some bad things. I never knew that software development was such a time-consuming process. When I met with Cleveroad, I found out how hard they work and how many skills they need to apply to a project.

I admire their job and I would like to continue working with them. I would suggest to other customers to trust them. Everything was great, and they never tried to hide things from me to waste my money.

**The Review** — Jun 30, 2017

**Feedback Summary**: Cleveroad delivered a quality app and took feedback into consideration throughout the entire process. They could improve on their communication with non-technical people, but their project management skills made the collaboration easy, and they needed minimal direction from internal teams.
""I can say with confidence that, if I want to create software again, it will be Cleveroad that I trust with my project.""

**BACKGROUND**
Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m the owner and founder of a graphic design agency in Hungary. We create various advertising posters, logos, labels, visual design for magazines, and so on. The company was founded in 2011, and we are trying to do our best every day. Our main goal is to amaze our clients and make them return again.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
What challenge were you trying to address with Cleveroad?

Apart from the development of various posters and other pictures for our customers, we sometimes create our own designs to draw more clients and to promote ourselves. But, it often wasn’t an easy choice for me and my team to choose the best design for advertising. One day, an interesting idea came to my mind: Why not create a special app for iOS (our team uses iPhones predominantly) where we can store all our works, share it, and vote together for a specific photo?

**SOLUTION**
What was the scope of their involvement?

Cleveroad company developed my sharing app from beginning to end.

How did you come to work with Cleveroad?

I couldn’t find a good company in my country that fit our budget. I accidentally came across Cleveroad, and read many good reviews about them. Eventually, I gave the project to them.

How much have you invested with Cleveroad?

It cost $35,000 for total project.

What is the status of this engagement?

The project began in early February and was completed at the end of March.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
Could you share any evidence that would demonstrate the productivity, quality of work, or the impact of the engagement?

When I tested it for the first time, there were several small bugs. I asked developers to go through and fix these small issues, and they came back a few days later with exactly the app I was looking for. Now my team of designers and I can mutually select ad pictures by voting, making it possible to show the public our best material.

How did Cleveroad perform from a project management standpoint?

Their project manager relayed to me the whole development process, asking me clarifying questions in order to understand what I really needed. Then, upon completion of each stage, I’d receive the results of development, the design of the future app, prototypes, and so on. If they had any questions, they arranged a Skype meeting with me.

What did you find most impressive about Cleveroad?

It’s difficult to compare, since I’ve only been engaged with one other software company in the past, the one that created our company website. But, I can say with confidence that, if I want to create software again, it will be Cleveroad that I trust with my project. They always listen to my ideas, do everything according to requirements, and fix everything I need, quickly and without any questions. It’s a great pleasure to work with Cleveroad.

Are there any areas Cleveroad could improve?

They could learn to explain the development process better. I am far from being an expert in programming, but I wanted to understand what technologies they were integrating into my app. They explained it to me, but it was very difficult to understand. I would like to get it in a simpler way.
