I would like to commend the Chetu Team, specifically Arun and Abhijeet (& the team members they work closely with), for their exceptional contributions during our recent collaboration on migrating to a new hosting environment for us. Their dedication, expertise, and teamwork were instrumental in the success of this project.

Arun's meticulous planning and problem-solving skills ensured that we navigated through the complexities of the migration process smoothly. The ability to foresee potential challenges and address them proactively was truly commendable.  He was able to navigate upgrading all our software code dependencies in a small window in the middle of challenging infrastructure move.

I think the project management was top notch.  Communication was very clear, timelines were generally adhered to. In fact, we kept adding to the initial scope as we continued our collaboration. The Chetu team was very accomodating, readjusted, and reset expectations around time in a very professional and straightforward manner.

Chetu was hired to take over an existing site that was a proof of concept, and now needed a more robust team as it was now in production.    The project required a full stack node.js/next.js/react developer.   They assigned a local project manager, an offshore manager, and an offshore dev to obtain the objective.

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

They were extremely cumbersome and inefficient to work with.   Poor communication skills and a complete lack of accountability for their constant mistakes.   They did not deliver results on Jira tickets we assigned that were very well documented.   We had to roll off the engagement after only a few weeks.

No, they did not deliver items on time.   When we would point out mistakes, they did not accept accountability and instead just argued and talked back.   To the client.   What a joke.

Chetu, Inc. has the ability to drag out a project so that they can charge you more. Do not be fooled by the low per hour price. They take 5 times longer to try and do anything so multiply the hourly rate by 5 and that's what you are really paying.

Yes but they are unwilling to listen because if they did they would loose money. The game they play is very low hourly rate and then drag it out

Replace our Current POS system with a custom Modern UI with new features Migrate from IBM to Modern Database Co-develop a custom Tee Sheet system for Golf We are partnered with Chetu to co-develop a custom Point-of-Sale system for one our unique business models. This was a HUGE project that we started from scratch. We hired Chetu to write code and work with our in house developers to code review each step. Chetu sales has been honest up front and easy to work with as far as cost. 
Their project manager has been prompt and very organized, and their development team is exactly what we'd expect for a team on this project. They produce whatever we ask for. If there's a mistake, on either side, they adjust quickly. We have weekly meetings with code review and updates. On occasion there's a language barrier but it is easily made up for by communication in Slack. This project required front end dev, back end dev, hardware integration dev, workflow processing, backwards compatibility, modern UI design and dev, and multiple platform coding, and more. 
This type of project often takes several years of development and research. We are 18 months in and so far we are very happy with our decision to work with Chetu Development and should launch our product this year.

They provided a Dedicated project manager. We have weekly code review meetings and code drops with updates. They delivered what we asked when we asked. The primary limitations were on our end, delivering what we wanted with details. They quickly and daily respond in Slack and any other needs are quickly addressed by their project manager. We are near the end of the project now and working towards a fully functional system where all the deliverables will come together at once. We asked for adjustments in their coding and gave them examples and they have acclimated and been coding that way since.

They had plenty of talent and resources that were highly accommodating to what we asked. There was nothing generic about our project. They asked questions for clarity and communicated well in Slack.

Some language barrier in the live meetings with the India teams. A couple times, new code updates introduced old issues that were fixed previously. We had to catch those in code review and ask for them to be fixed again.

I’m the director of technology for a nutraceutical manufacturing company. We run a few e-commerce websites.

What challenge were you trying to address with Chetu, Inc.?

We have a small software development team, and we needed our staff augmented with more software developers. We’ve been speaking with Chetu, Inc. for a couple of years and reached out to them. We asked for one resource to join our team as a contractor to help us work on our websites.

What was the scope of their involvement?

We had a few initial meetings with Chetu, Inc., during which they interviewed me and asked about the position and what the tasks of the contractor were, the type of software we used, the types of platforms our e-commerce sites were running on, and the general skill set that we required.

What is the team composition?

We mainly work with one primary developer, but because of Chetu, Inc.’s business model, we also get a backup developer and a project manager. The backup developer has been productive — when the primary developer is out of the office, the backup developer steps up and fills in.

The project manager and I speak occasionally, and I meet the account manager quarterly just to review the general progress being made and request any changes I want to make.

I met them at a Magento conference in Las Vegas.

Overall, they’ve delivered what we were looking for. We’ve contracted with one developer and managed to ramp him up very quickly. He’s been very productive on our team within a short period of time.

I can’t think of anything that Chetu, Inc. can improve on. I’m very satisfied with the developer they gave us. His performance isn’t perfect, but he really compliments our team very well and continues to help us accomplish our goals.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Trust their business model proposal and go with it. When they first told me about their business model and that you get a primary developer, a backup developer, a project manager, and an account manager, I told them that I didn’t understand how the backup developer was going to be effective, but it turned out that they were.

We needed the features to be able to handle integrations with third-party systems. Moreover, their team helps us with the upkeep of our website. Our platform is based on PHP and .NET, and we work with Azure and DevOps.

The website is for internal use, and what it does is help our team to analyze each property deal we have and keep that deal flow going.

We work with five people from their side: a team lead, a project lead, and three developers.

We started working with Chetu, Inc. in January 2023, and our collaboration is ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

When we first came up to Chetu, Inc. with this project, it took them less than two weeks to get on board, learn everything, get up to speed, and figure out what the code was and everything else. They were ready to go in two weeks to actually start building the new stuff and work on new features. That said, I really loved how quickly they got on board and started with the work.

Moreover, they’ve also been very accommodating — we’re free to hold as many meetings as we want, and they’re always willing to make things work for us. Overall, our collaboration has been going very smoothly.

How did Chetu, Inc. perform from a project management standpoint?

They have a great project lead who makes sure everything is addressed on time. We use DevOps for project management and communicate using Slack and email.

What did you find most impressive about them?

The best thing about Chetu, Inc. is that they never overpromise — whenever they say something will be done on a certain timeline, they do it. They also have a very big team, so they can deliver whatever we ask from them.

Are there any areas they could improve?

Chetu, Inc.’s communication could be faster. They’ve actually been working on that and have gotten a lot better.

You should definitely go work with Chetu, Inc. Their onboarding process is amazing.

I’m the owner of an online application called UHireMe, which allows entrepreneurs, small businesses, and contractors to market themselves. I want to help reduce marketing expenses for these groups and expand their client base.

I needed a company to help me develop the app.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Chetu, Inc. is designing and developing an iOS app that shows contractors and entrepreneurs their weekly and monthly goals and enables them to track cash flow. The app acts as a one-stop shop where consumers can find various services they need. They’ll eventually design the app for Androids and desktops.

The app enables users to have a virtual business card. As entrepreneurs and contractors, we’re often asked for a business card when we speak about what we do. The app includes a QR code, which consumers can scan to pull up the entrepreneur’s UHireMe account on their mobile phones. The account contains information about the entrepreneur, including the services they provide.

The app also features a secure payment option so that consumers can book a contractor or entrepreneur even if they don’t have cash. If a consumer is looking to get their car washed, for example, the entrepreneur can benefit from accepting payment through the app.

They’re using Adobe XD, and they may be using other tools as well; I don’t have a graphic design background.

In the beginning, I sent them a PowerPoint presentation with the ideas that I wanted to incorporate into the app. Chetu, Inc. provided insight into the app planning process and allowed me to remap some of my ideas. I’d looked into my competitors, and Chetu, Inc. discussed with me the ways my app should differ. We agreed on the functionalities needed. They sent me 1–2 templates, and I chose the one that fit my vision. 

What is the team composition?

I’ve met with 5–6 teammates throughout the process. Vipin (Team Lead & PHP Web Developer), Darryl (National Account Manager), and another teammate have been the ones I’ve spoken with the most. On my company’s side, it’s just myself right now.

How much have you invested with them?

I’ve spent a little over $10,000 so far, but there’s more to come.

What is the status of this engagement?

We kicked off the project on March 1, 2023, and it’s ongoing.

How did you come to work with Chetu, Inc.?

I ran a Google search and received lots of quotes. My interaction with Darryl really sold me on Chetu, Inc. He was straightforward and provided many details. Most importantly, he showed me that I could trust the company, which stood out the most. They’re a reputable company.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

I don’t have any metrics yet, but they did a great job; their designs have been perfect. I appreciate that they gave me options. I’m very excited based on the results I’ve seen brought to life so far. It’s been very satisfying to see what the app could become once completed.

How did the company perform from a project management standpoint?

Vipin has created a full high-level timeline that includes the day-to-day planned activities. Prior to working with them, I was under the impression that creating a mobile app takes 30–60 days; now that Vipin's explained the process to me, I understand that it realistically takes longer.

They could do the project faster if I hired more developers. They've laid out multiple options at different price points and timeframes for me. I love that Chetu, Inc.’s price is affordable, and they explain when and why more cash is needed; this allows me to budget for completion. 

Their communication is flawless. Chetu, Inc. presents their progress to me every Friday at noon EST. Vipin, the team lead, sends follow-up emails, which is great. Phone calls and Zoom are our other communication tools.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Their work is spot-on. It feels like they're in on my plan. I love the fact that they explain everything to me and made changes immediately when I requested them; my feedback is always implemented by our next meeting.

I’m also very intrigued by the tools they have to bring my project to life. 

Are there any areas they could improve?

I wish that I didn’t have to switch developers for different functionalities; not everyone can afford that, so it’d be great if their talent had more universal skills.

Do you have any advice for future clients of theirs?

It’d be best to have a plan so that Chetu, Inc. can design your project for you. Chetu, Inc. is very strategic, so they can create your vision. Kudos to them.
