I am the owner of a title insurance company.

For what projects/services did your company hire CCB Technology?

Our company needed an IT company that could manage our hardware and software requirements, as well as our firewall and digital storage needs.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

Initially, we chose CCB Technology due to their reputation in the local community and their leadership team. Once we interviewed them and received their proposal, we knew they listened to our needs and put together a perfect plan of attack.

Describe the project in detail and walk through their service package.

We were looking to have an IT Solutions company replace our existing IT provider. At the same time, we were looking to have all of our hardware updated. CCB Technology provided a detail overview of our existing hardware, the benefits of the new hardware and a contract that spelled out the details and timeline of the project.

How many resources from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?

CCB Technology provided us with one main contact. This individual was our go to person and worked with all of the internal personnel at CCB Technology from procurement to installation. Having one contact made life very easy on our end.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

They were able to complete our project on time and with limited down time. This meant they worked after hours and had several people at our location for the server install and desktop install. We had very little disruption on our end. They even worked with our software providers to make sure that all of our data was successful transferred to our new server.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

During the delivery and installation part of the project, we were kept abreast of every detail. Their staff worked directly with our staff to allow for a smooth transition. The CCB Technology staff aided each user with password setup, navigation on the new system, and made sure every user was comfortable with the system before moving on.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

The CCB Technology team is very impressive.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

Once each portion of the project was completed (work order) we were sent a survey. This was a little bit of a nuisance.

I’m a department manager for an aircraft parts manufacturer.

What challenge were you trying to address with CCB Technology?

We needed help with managed IT services. Originally, we were trying to get the Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC), which included updating our hardware and software.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

CCB Technology provides us with managed IT services. Initially, we went through an assessment process so that they knew where we wanted to go. Then, they came back with suggestions for hardware and software that would be adequate for our goals.

Since then, we’ve worked with CCB Technology for continuous support. Their team has also been in charge of purchasing and installing those hardware and software pieces as needed, and they’ve helped us deploy some of our offerings. Additionally, we’ve let them manage certain pieces of our infrastructure, so they’ve worked for us both on-site and remotely.

What is the team composition?

We’ve worked with several different people from CCB Technology, including an account manager and a purchaser from the sales side, as well as a different account manager from the support side.

How did you come to work with CCB Technology?

Prior to the COVID-19 pandemic, CCB Technology hosted a large technology showcase event, which is now virtual. At the time, I got invited to that event just when I was looking for a service provider. I had the opportunity to interview a few different organizations that provided managed IT services, and CCB Technology won the project.

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve spent under $10,000, excluding the software and hardware purchases.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together in March 2018, and our engagement is ongoing.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

CCB Technology is always ready to go when we need them, and we’re very happy with their support. Certain services require a schedule for them on our end because they need a disruption of our systems. Still, CCB Technology is very willing to work with us to schedule those services within a timeframe that works for us.

Additionally, CCB Technology is very willing to work with us on implementing the solutions we need. For example, if we need a solution we haven’t identified yet, they gladly sell us a solution of their own. Otherwise, if we need a solution we’ve already identified in the market, they work with the third-party service provider to assess the solution and get a demonstration before making the purchase.

How did CCB Technology perform from a project management standpoint?

CCB Technology’s performance has been awesome, and they’re always on time. Additionally, they’re very receptive, and they’re oftentimes faster than us. For example, they’ve let us know when they monitor or fix things for us even before we were aware something was going on. Whenever we open a new service ticket, we typically get a response within five minutes.

To collaborate, we use a ticketing system that CCB Technology has provided us with. We also use email to communicate, although we can also use emails to initiate a service ticket. Additionally, we can have phone calls for urgent matters, but the urgent service obviously costs more.

What did you find most impressive about them?

CCB Technology is very transparent and willing to work with us. I’ve worked with a lot of managed IT service providers in the past, and a lot of them are meant for companies that don’t have internal IT staff. These other companies are all-encompassing and want to do all for us without our involvement, which makes them feel very secretive. However, CCB Technology isn’t that way. With them, we can choose what we want them to manage so that we can manage what we need to manage internally.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I don’t have any constructive feedback for them.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Be aware of what you want them to do and have a plan in place so that they can guide you on what type of hardware and software you need to buy so that you can accomplish your goals. If you have clear objectives, they can shape them and deliver what you want.

I am the Director of IT for a Retail Shoe Company. We have 30 Brick and Mortar locations along with 2 websites and 5 trucks outfitted for mobile safety footware sales.

We had outgrown our small servers and needed to migrate to a more robust virtual server system. Because our network footprint is large with 30 locations accross 4 states, we also needed help with our ongoing managed IT services.

SOLUTION

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

When searching for a partner, we wanted a company large enough to handle the complexity and scale of our system. We also wanted a company small enough to give is good old fashioned customer service when we needed it. We wanted to get past the sales staff and have a frank discussion with the technical folks to convince ourselves that CCB had the knowledge and expertise to meet our goals.

Describe the project in detail and walk through the stages of the project.

We had to migrate from 2 older severs to a 6 hyper-v servers hosted on 2 physical boxes.  We also had them set up another physical server in a remote location for redundancy.

How many resources from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?

We worked with a dedicated project manager, a tech lead along with a server architect.   All were very knowlegable and put our minds at ease.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

The migration went as planned and business disruption was miniscule.

CCB communicates well and provides realisitc timelines.

They were very open and honest about possibilities and expectations.   Each team member was very easy to work with.
