I am the Director of Operations for an online apparel company called TROOP. We offer core, versatile, sustainable wardrobe staples that you can look great in and feel great about.

For what projects/services did your company hire SH1FT?

We needed someone to manage our social media accounts for us, from handling our posting schedule to responding to customer comments. Our goal was to increase our following and engagement on Instagram and Facebook.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

We worked with a company who matched our project brief with SH1FT. As soon as the team presented their marketing plan to us and were as excited about the new brand as we were, I knew it would be a good fit.

After the initial kick-off meeting, they asked us to provide them with all necessary assets for making our posts including images, tone of voice, fonts, colors etc.. They then suggested a few different looks and feels for the feed and once approved created a posting schedule, wrote the captions, and engaged with followers. They used Sked Social to organize their posts which helped our team have oversight on all the posts.

We worked mainly with their CEO and their CCO. They also had a social media manager assisting on the insights.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Our IG started from zero and now has 240 followers and 40 posts. Our FB page has 227 likes and 245 followers, and have reached over 20,000 people and had over 1,000 engagements.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

We used Slack to communicate daily. We started to have regular meetings to discuss ideas/performance/strategies for continued growth. They would also send weekly reports summarizing high level insights.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

I was impressed with the amount of passion the people we were working with demonstrated towards our brand and vision. They truly felt like an extension of our team and that allowed us to trust them with our accounts.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

We made a couple small detail comments about words being hidden by logos on posts or french versions of english words (colour vs color), but each time they were quick and timely to resolve.

Our UX designers were impressed by SH1FT's abilities to translate our needs into conversion funnel solutions. Articles and ads had a perfect balance of conversion components to content — of course this translated into a great launch and a top 10% global conversion level compared to our previous launches.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

Our workflow was very effficient as we are both teams rooted in new technology. We are always connected, we use similar tools and collaborating on Jira was a breeze.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

Their communication skills and ability to break down marketing concepts to any stakeholder is why we trust SH1FT so much. Having a great strategy doesn't mean much if you can't communicate it.

We held a number of meeting to allow them to understand the nature of the tasks at hand. they took time to study the festival, our interactions with our customers and our calendar of actions. Never hesitated to ask questions and respected both budgets and deadlines without any problems. they were invested and brainstormed with us and our interns whenever they could.

Their ideas were considered and often extended into other departments, creating synergy and fluidity in our marketing strategy. They would receive their tasks, produce the calendar, content, review with us the component, and post. All was moved forward accordingly in using the communication channels properly.
