The project was managed to fit my personal needs. They assigned a manager who clearly established goals and weekly or bi-weekly sometimes as needed meetings to get ahead of issues and create a streamlined process. Once they delivered the application, we went through an extensive training and performance testing. This testing allowed me to use my team to interact with the application and as we noticed user challenges Callibrate responded and quickly created fixes that were unanticipated. They were very responsive to our timeline and needs. They were professional and were very invested in our application and the success of our product.

We were looking for a more automated and lower-cost solution for our product. We had previously worked with another vendor who developed the application, so we needed another team to quickly get up to speed on a product they hadn’t built.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Calibrate Software has helped us enhance our application, which is both web-based and mobile. They’re front-facing with our client to troubleshoot, enhance, and make changes on the fly. In addition, they keep the application running and provide maintenance.

Our application allows Medicaid recipients to use our service to be awarded gift cards for certain activities their Medicaid company has set them up with. If you’re a recipient and in the plan, you could get $50 or $100 for doing certain health events that the Medicaid company has prescribed for you.

Our program automates this process so you can submit all your information, be qualified for it, receive the gift cards, and use them. The team helps us manage this entire process.

Calibrate Software has promised and delivered what we’re looking for. It’s too soon to have an in-depth review of their quality, but we’re very happy with what they’re able to do. We’ve had no problems, and we haven’t had any crashes.

Everything’s been on time. My COO gets the progress reports from them.

What challenge were you trying to address with Calibrate Software?

We had a big product launch this year, and we wanted to offer a unique experience to our customers. However, due to our limited bandwidth, we needed to outsource the project because our internal team couldn't meet the quick turnaround time we required.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Calibrate Software designed and developed a landing page for our new product launch. The page was intended to provide customers with information about our product.

We had a tight schedule of about two months to pull this together, and Calibrate Software was open and receptive despite the tight turnaround time. We started with a conversation to understand their capabilities and determine if they met our business needs, which they did, and then went into the development phase.

Our creative team provided Calibrate Software with all the assets needed to develop the landing page, and they implemented design suggestions. They also did some post-launch enhancements.

We worked with two team members, including Kevin, the CEO, and Sean, another lead.

How did you come to work with Calibrate Software?

They were a referral. We brought the project to our internal team to see who they had previously worked with, and they recommended Calibrate Software, so we reached out to them. 

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working with them in December 2024 and completed the project in January 2025.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We received quite a bit of traffic from the landing page to our website. The page also helped us set up parameterized URLs to define our metrics. We could see how many visitors from the landing page came to our site to buy the product.

Initially, there were some bugs, but they were so minimal that they weren't evident to the consumer. Calibrate Software communicated every potential issue beforehand and let us know when the deadline would be. They executed everything on time, so we saw no significant problems.

How did Calibrate Software perform from a project management standpoint?

Calibrate Software was incredible. Their team was very transparent and always wanted to work with us. They hit a rapid turnaround with the resources we had. They worked around the clock to help create this experience for us, which was truly valuable.

The team communicated any issue or delay well in advance so we could work around it where needed. We set up weekly meetings, and most of our communication was through email. We also used Google Meet and phone calls if it was urgent and leveraged monday.com to follow along with the project easily.

Are there any employees from the service provider's team that you would like to give a shout-out to in this review?

Kevin and Sean were extremely valuable, helpful, and responsive.

What did you find most impressive about them?

We were impressed with Calibrate Software's flexibility and openness to collaborate with us. Their team was very attentive to what we were trying to achieve, and they used their creativity to help meet our goals.

I loved their collaborative spirit and energy. They were very positive throughout the whole experience. Nothing was a no; it was always a conversation. I appreciate working with a team like Calibrate Software's.

Are there any areas they could improve?

We had such a tight turnaround. If we were to work with Calibrate Software again, we would want to ensure they had enough time to do an even better job. With more time, there would be a lot more things we could do.

When working with a creative team, always be open and precise about what you want. Calibrate Software will work around it and ensure they are collaborative. Their team wants to see your vision through, so being as detailed as possible is helpful. Just be open to the process.

We wanted to create a frontend web app that was seamless and intuitive for the user. We wanted users to go around the app and find everything to be seamless so that it met their expectations.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?
Calibrate Software has helped us with the UI/UX design of the frontend of a web app. In addition to the design, the team has also helped us develop this frontend using React.

During our initial engagement, we talked with Calibrate Software about our expectations for them to create the frontend of an app. From there, we went through a few design meetings, during which they showed us some designs. We collaborated with them and discussed what we liked and disliked.

Then, Calibrate Software went into the development process. The team has also fixed bugs and worked with us to bring the app to deployment.

As for the technology stack, Calibrate Software has used Figma for the design, React for the development, GitHub for version control, and AWS Amplify for the deployment.

Our main point of contact is Faizan (Project Manager), but we've also worked with Joe (Partner & Technical Lead). If there are others involved, I don't know them.

We wanted to elevate the look and feel of our website and make it more dynamic and engaging.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Calibrate Software helped us create a new company website. They basically revamped our existing website, giving it a new look and feel and adding content. Initially, we had a few conversations with them to talk about what we were hopping to achieve. From there, they created a mood board with some creative concepts, and we went back and forth on that.

Once we approved the mood board, Calibrate Software started designing the website's layout and putting the content together. We developed the copy and handed it to them, and they were in charge of laying out the pages. We refined the design, and once all the pages were approved, we launched the website. As for the technology stack, they used Figma to create the designs and mood board and Webflow to develop the site.

The website features four different case study pages that are very dynamic. It also has some animations and imagery.

Kevin (CEO) and Sean (Chief Experience Officer) were heavily involved in the project. We also worked with a project manager and 3–4 members from their development team.

Our new website hasn't been live for very long, but we've definitely seen an increase in traffic, as well as an increasing positive sentiment about our website. People are very excited about it and have provided us with really positive feedback. As for the quality of their work, Calibrate Software exceeded our expectations. The site looks great and has definitely exceeded what we hoped it would achieve.

Calibrate Software definitely delivered on time and on budget and communicated well with us along the way. We felt very good about the process, the budget, and the level of communication. We communicated via email and had regular meetings over Google Meet.

I’m the CEO and co-founder of an online educational and social platform for referees to connect, improve their knowledge of the game, and develop their careers.

What challenge were you trying to address with Calibrate Software?

We have a mobile app that is the primary way our business grows. Our community connects with other referees and posts plays for discussion. We started building this app with another company but weren’t pleased with the development, so we brought in Calibrate Software to take over. 

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

We came to them with an undefined idea of what we were looking for, and through a rigorous line of questioning early on in the process, they helped us dial in the scope. Calibrate Software has been responsible for making functionality improvements, cleaning up the UI, and creating some overall enhancements.  

We went through a series of design sessions where they drafted up a series of UI features. We went back and forth until we were aligned and then moved on to development after that. We’ve gone through a few rounds of prototyping and a beta testing environment to prepare to launch these new features. 

Some of the enhancements Calibrate Software has made include direct messaging between individuals and adding a polling feature for users to include in posts. They’ve improved notifications and added shareable links so users can share content found outside the app. They’ve also created a robust search and filter function where users can find other users based on mutual interests. The app is available in the App Store and Google Play Store. 

What is the team composition?

At most, we’ve worked with 10 people, but our core group is made up of three people, including a project manager, a technical lead, and one of the co-founders of Calibrate Software. 

How did you come to work with Calibrate Software?

My company was working with Calibrate Software before I started working here. I believe Calibrate Software was on a shortlist initially, but we went with another company. When we weren’t thrilled with that company, we decided to move forward with Calibrate Software. 

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together in July 2023, and the engagement is ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

Despite very recently launching some of the new features, we’ve had positive external feedback. The app is more user-friendly, and, with some of these new features, we’re expecting to see growth in in our daily active user account. We are very satisfied with their development and design work and look forward to our continued engagement with Calibrate Software. 

How did Calibrate Software perform from a project management standpoint?

Calibrate Software supplies strong communication and meets deadlines. They are highly responsive, detail-oriented, and organized. They lay things out clearly for us and are proactive. Calibrate Software uses Trello for project management and email for communication. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

Their team has been flexible, and when things pop up, they handle them quickly. When there are changes that need to be made, large or small, they take care of them. Calibrate Software’s team understands communication and how to be a good partner. They also have very talented designers, a good QA process, and they bring in a high level of expertise. 

Calibrate Software does a good job of making sure that we are involved in the engagement, and their company is genuinely interested in what we do. We’re new to this arena, and they’ve done a great job helping us navigate the process. 

Are there any areas they could improve?

We’re new to the development process and wish they had pointed out a few things in the beginning. However, this is not entirely their fault. 

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Be open-minded and flexible. You’re going to get the most out of Calibrate Software if you let them share some of their insight. Take advantage of all the communication you can at the beginning of the engagement to ensure that you’re aligning on the small details. They are patient, and you should use that opportunity to scope out everything thoroughly.
