• For any parcel he was considering, The Helpful Homebuyers needed to know exactly what could be built there, under what zoning, and with what constraints, before committing time or money. The goal was a rigorous, fully sourced zoning and parcel feasibility analysis for each property.
• He also needed to find the right parcels in the first place. The goal was to analyze specific regions against his build parameters, comparing parcel data with zoning, so parcels that matched his criteria surfaced without him combing through listings by hand.
• He needed to act with confidence and defend his decisions. The goal was to back every finding with a verifiable source and to map the zoning path for each parcel, so he understood which permits, special permits, or variances a project would require.

The project first required consolidating property data from desired areas into one spreadsheet. This included not only address and ownership, but also zone, parcel size, current use, and permitted use. By evaluating this data, we were able to easily identify properties that had permitted uses exceeding their current uses, which are by nature undervalued by the market. Since these properties present an opportunity for further development, we were able to market to property owners who we could offer more money to than a typical buyer. By finding and consolidating all of this data into one easily sorted spreadsheet, we were able to save a substantial amount of time and money on the back end of our acquisition process. Not only did we save money by not marketing to the wrong people, but we didn't waste time evaluating opportunities, as we knew that the only properties we marketed to did present a unique opportunity for our business.

A recurring engagement since 2024, with more than 8 deep feasibility analyses delivered to date and the client continuing to commission new ones. The work has helped The Helpful Homebuyers uncover opportunities across Connecticut and expand into new markets.

Each property is delivered as one sourced report consolidating parcel and ownership data, dimensional zoning compliance, permitted and special permit uses, environmental constraints, utilities, tax status, and jurisdiction contacts, so he can assess a site fully from a single document.

Every data point is cited to its origin, from town GIS and property cards to zoning regulations by chapter and section and the Plan of Conservation and Development. Current regulations and maps are confirmed directly with the town, so any conclusion can be verified or defended.

I cannot say enough good things about Bruno and ByteNana. I could always count on a collaborative effort and the highest degree of professionalism. Everything was completed quickly and completely, and any questions we had were addressed in a timely manner. Furthermore, the deliverables we received were always accompanied with detailed explanation as well as a willingness to meet to provide further assistance if necessary.

I find it impressive that the quality of the work often goes above and beyond what is requested or required. No stone is left unturned, and no detail left without explanation. If there is ever an issue acquiring the data we need, an logical explanation is always provided, as well as suggestions to work through or around the problem. Working with ByteNana does not feel as though you are hiring someone to complete a project for you, it feels as though you are hiring an employee to join your team. There has never been a time where the work was anything less than impeccable.

While our overall experience with Bytenana was highly positive, there are always areas where any team can grow, especially in a dynamic project like ours.

Testing & Polishing Details: A few minor UI issues—such as placeholder messages or inactive icons—made it into early versions. Strengthening the final testing phase could help catch those small details before release.
Timeline Updates: Although deliverables were consistently met, having more proactive communication when timelines shifted would have helped us better plan on our side.
That said, Bytenana was always receptive to feedback, quick to address concerns, and committed to delivering quality. Their flexibility and dedication turned challenges into opportunities for improvement.

I’m the CEO of Itri Corporation, an agriculture company. We’ve invented and are now offering a persistent visual and far-IR image data system that enables the autonomous monitoring and evaluation of plant stresses and plant water status.

What challenge were you trying to address with ByteNaNa?

We needed help to build a site that would facilitate the real-time remote sensing system that our clients would deploy to monitor their crops. The system would also provide an assessment of the image data so that our clients could manage their crops and guide irrigation.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

The scope of work needed to develop and implement the system was enormous and beyond my understanding of how it should be developed. The software engineer from ByteNaNa talked about what I needed the system to do for my clients and how my system administrator needed to manage it. From there, we agreed upon a set of requirements, and ByteNaNa delivered the system to operations. In the architecture deployed, we could easily add new capabilities to the system, including a first-of-its-kind agricultural AI toolbox.

ByteNaNa’s main deliverable was the cloud implementation of the Hawk-Eye™ System.

We worked with one teammate from ByteNaNa.

How did you come to work with ByteNaNa?

I found ByteNaNa through a referral. I was told that they had the software engineering skills and discipline to take on my project, and their hourly rates were very affordable.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together in October 2024, and the system is operational as of July 2025. However, we will continue to add system capabilities.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We received demo and prototype versions of the system as it was being developed. We were able to connect a camera set to the system, and I could study and test results as the system matured. Overall, the system was moving toward my vision of what my clients needed. One client stated that he wished this type of system was available 20 years ago when he started as a grower.
