We searched online and held meetings with multiple agencies, as well as asked for proposals from them. We took a look at the previous work of all agencies and decided who's vision aligned with us the best. Buzzworthy provided the best work, within our budget, and on the timeline we wanted.

We held a series of meetings to really delve into our brand, market, and product. The team was able to visit our office physically in NYC and spend time with patients face-to-face. This helped tremendously in creating three different mockups, from which we chose our logo and design. We then had multiple different webpage options to choose from as well.

The team was robust. We had a great designer, multiple development engineers, a project manager, and the head of the company on calls or in correspondence with us regularly. We eventually also had a growth marketing lead once we had launched.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

We saw great feedback from our brand and our website. When we launched we were indexing very strongly thanks to the content we had on our page, as suggested from the growth marketing lead at Buzzworthy. We were able to book hundreds of sleep test orders thanks for the easy flow of the website.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

The workflow was great and the easiest part. We communicated seamlessly with the design team and had standing calls every week. During times when we had to get something done on a deadline the team was able to complete it with no hiccups.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

The dedication of the team members, especially the design, development, and marketing members. They understood what we wanted and then worked hard to bring that to reality.

Are there any areas for improvement?

A shorter development period for the website would have been great, but in the end we ended up with a quality product that helped us much more. We appreciate the hard work and time it took to get there.

We ran this campaign for two years and increased our leads by 266%. Our donor recruitment had been stagnant, with little growth in potential donor applications. Once we contracted Buzzworthy Studio, the number application submissions increased subtantially.

Buzzworthy Studio took the time to understand what our company is, what our objectives were, and the message we wanted to convey. After getting to know us, their team began evaluating our competitors and started the design process. There were opportunities for us to provide feedback along the way, and they would respond to the tweaks we wanted to make. They created the interactive designs and showed us how the live site would operate. After we launched it, they were available to answer questions and make changes to the site.

We had the most contact with our dedicated project manager and lead designer from Buzzworthy Studio. There was a whole team working behind them, especially during the launch, but we didn’t communicate directly with them as frequently.

The site was launched in coordination with our other marketing campaigns, which allowed us to participate in a major industry conference. We were able to include the redesigned site at this event where we announced our new product line, so the timing couldn’t have been better.

Communication takes the effort of both parties, and Buzzworthy Studio was very responsive.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

Their dedication to understanding our business and translating that into a unique design was exceptional. We valued their responsiveness, especially when the site went live.

Are there any areas for improvement?

We could have benefitted from more initiative on their end when we struggled to identify our needs. Though we gained a better understanding of our business, it could have been helpful for their team to step in and give us some direction. There also could have been more quality checks before going live to avoid some issues.

We wanted a beautiful, clean, modern, and legible site that could attract new business and validate our existing client base. We wanted a space where we could host our existing work (artwork and case studies), showcase our client reviews, explain our services, showcase our uniqueness, and offer live support.

We were looking for a design and development team who could understand our philosophy, purpose, and product. We needed a team that could dispell the jargon of media buying so that our prospects and clients our services. We heard of Grapeseed Media via word-of-mouth recommendations. We reviewed their past work, reviews, met with them. They were calm and well-spoken, and we had a great gut feeling that this was going to work out.

Grapeseed Media redesigned a website from scratch using existing internal marketing materials, a fresh copy, and third-party resources such as Intercom and ScheduleOnce. They first asked us questions about our company and aesthetic. Then, their team scoped out the budget, plan of action, and timeline. With this foundation, they used our submitted assets to create a mock site, which we used to provide feedback on. In addition, they integrated it with Google Docs to keep organized.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

After the site was complete, we submitted QA requests via a Google sheet and saw results almost instantaneously. In addition, we've gotten a ton of amazing feedback from friends, family, clients, and prospects about the stunning look and feel of our site. Our traffic increased, and our contact features gained us some incredible leads.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

Our workflow was super effective. Their team was professional and went above and beyond to keep us organized, calm, and forward-thinking. Their founder helped us scope out the project and timeline, and their designer conducted multiple Skype meetings to review design ideas. Along with this, their resourceful developer worked around the clock to deal with bugs.

Their design skills were uncanny. They produced a top-tier, custom work of art. Additionally, their prices were fair, and their team was proactive.

During development, we typically had weekly meetings where they would provide any updates about changes. They worked efficiently and delivered the project earlier than expected.

I appreciate their knowledge and experience. They’ve built many websites and always have the best advice. When I’m not sure about what they’re doing, they take the time to explain their reasoning clearly, sometimes using analytical data.

I'm the president and owner of All Pro Team Sports, a sporting goods uniform and equipment company. We’re located in Maryland but we service the entire country.

What challenge were you trying to address with Buzzworthy Studio?

We needed help building a new website. We wanted a complete upgrade because we hadn't refreshed the site since we started nine years ago. We also wanted to create a website that would tell our story.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Buzzworthy spent a lot of time learning about us at the beginning of the project. They wanted to understand our goals so they could best attack them. We brainstormed on how we wanted the site laid out, the different pages we needed, and what were we looking to accomplish. The imagery we had on our original site was outdated, so they updated the site’s aesthetic. They thought a lot about how the site should flow and which colors should be featured on different areas of the home page as a user scrolls down. They also created plug-in features on our site to request a catalog, an online store, or a uniform design.

How did you come to work with Buzzworthy Studio?

I started the process by interviewing three companies. I’d seen Buzzworthy on social media, and it turns out that the owner is from my hometown. The difference between Buzzworthy and the two other companies was the attention to detail. Our website wasn't just an out of the box site to them; they wanted to personalize it and make it our own.

We spent between $10,000–$50,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

Work began in October 2017 and the site went live in June 2018. They continue to work with us on maintenance and SEO.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

I can’t say if it’s a direct result of the new site, but our phones are ringing and orders are coming in. The volume of requests (catalog, online store, uniform design) is 5–10 times more than the previous site. So people are interacting with our site more so than in the past. In terms of the look and feel, people have said it looks comparable to the big athletic apparel companies when in reality we're still a small business.

How did Buzzworthy Studio perform from a project management standpoint?

They were professional and responsive, just very enjoyable to work with. They took ownership in the quality of work. They weren't going to put something out there that wasn't representative of their high standards. Also, if we wanted something but there was a better way to do it, they made those suggestions.

They were understanding and patient. Some of the project was reliant on me giving them what they needed before they could build. They were diligent about staying on my case, but much of the reason the site took so long to complete was because I was delayed in providing them copy and images.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Their professionalism and communication was most impressive. If we ever needed anything, we would get a quick email reply or they would jump on a call. If we had a meeting scheduled, they were always on time. They're experts at what they do, so I was comfortable that they would lead us down the right path.

I'm the VP of marketing and business growth at a for-profit organization called ModernMD Urgent Care. We’re a network of seven urgent care centers based in Brooklyn. Our mission is to equalize access to healthcare in communities that lack it.

When we first started ModernMD in late 2014, our graphic designer created a basic WordPress site to establish our digital presence. But as we grew, the site became increasingly antiquated and less representative of our organization. We wanted a new site that would better reflect our identity, modernity, and social and physical presence in the communities we served.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Buzzworthy Studio designed a new site, updating the look and feel while also adding new features. In particular, they created a new landing page that showed all of our service locations and directed users to their nearest care center.

We also maintained an ongoing dialogue about the overall site design. Though we initially considered certain stylistic elements, Buzzworthy Studios recognized that those choices might not have been in our best interest in terms of aesthetics and eventual user relevance. They helped us modify our ideas to better suit the market, and we ultimately went with their suggestions.

They assigned a project manager as our main point of contact, but we also had access to other team members.

How did you come to work with Buzzworthy Studio?

One of our contacts had worked with them and recommended them to us. I researched them online, found their site, and liked their portfolio. During the vetting process, I had reached out to about 10–12 vendors. Out of all of them, Buzzworthy Studio had the most comprehensive process to understand our business and what we wanted from the new site. They were the only agency to provide a thorough business analysis questionnaire for us to fill out.

We spent $10,000–$13,000 for the site. Although we had a limited budget, they were able to work within those constraints and design a strong website.

Their work lasted from April–August 2017.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We’ve seen a continuing upward trend in terms of site engagement. Not only did we want more informative content, we wanted to increase site functionality so that our patients could find us easily. Thanks to their new heavily-utilized landing page, more users are visiting our centers and seeking our services.

As for the creative process, they did a great job educating us about web design. I’d personally never completed design elements with a vendor before, so I wanted a lot of insight into the whole procedure. Buzzworthy Studio made sure to involve us throughout the engagement and helped us reach a happy middle ground between our initial concepts and the final product.

How did Buzzworthy Studio perform from a project management standpoint?

They were extremely communicative and accommodated our requests. In general, they prefer to have phone conferences with their clients but were more than happy to meet us in person. We had a lot of back and forth, and they responded immediately when we reached out for support. We also interfaced with the project manager on a daily basis; if there was a higher-level concern, we were able to speak directly with their CEO.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Beyond their technical skill, I appreciated how they presented themselves. They were professional, and we got a lot of work done. However, they were also casual in an approachable way, so, every time we had a call, it was just a normal dialogue. It was almost like working with a friend. I never felt like I wasn’t heard, and I liked that we could be upfront about what we thought. This kept them transparent and easy to work with.

Are there any areas they could improve?

This might be more of a client issue than a vendor issue, but it would help if they made sure to manage the client’s expectations. On our side, we might have had unrealistic notions about the timeline and process, so they tried to accommodate us. However, it might have been more helpful if they managed those expectations so that we wouldn’t be so insistent about our requirements.
