Brightscout led a full-funnel rebrand as we evolved from Arcus Power to Arcobi, including strategy, identity, and digital execution. 

• Conducted discovery workshops and stakeholder interviews to understand our business model, energy-market focus, and existing perception in the market. 
• Developed brand strategy and brand DNA: clarified positioning, value proposition, personality, messaging pillars, and brand story for a B2B energy/SaaS context. 
• Created the full visual identity system: new logo family, color palette, typography, iconography, diagrams, and UI patterns suitable for technical energy and SaaS audiences. 
• Produced core brand assets and guidelines: brand book, usage rules, templates for sales and marketing collateral, presentation decks, and social/digital assets. 
• Planned and executed our new website: UX strategy, information architecture, page layouts, copy direction, visual design, and Web implementation aligned with the new brand system.

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

The project is still ongoing, but we’ve already seen strong leading indicators of success. Within the first 10 days of the new brand and website going live, website engagement and lead quality improved noticeably, with higher time on page for key product sections and more inbound demo requests from our ideal customer profiles. Internally, the brand system has reduced friction and rework across marketing and sales, making it significantly faster for our team to produce on-brand collateral for campaigns and stakeholder meetings.

What impressed us most was how quickly Brightscout understood a very technical, niche energy/SaaS business and translated that into a clear, modern brand without dumbing anything down. They operate like a true thought partner, not just a design vendor: they pushed our positioning, asked sharp questions, and brought strong strategic opinions while still being highly collaborative. The quality of the visual identity and website UX exceeds expectations, especially given the tight timelines and complexity of our product. Most importantly, they positioning themselves as an agency that helps B2B SaaS - which makes their approach very focused and tailored.

A bit more rigorous QA for minor typos and last mile details would have made an alreadt strong delivery even smoother.

When Ori merged with a vehicle in Brookfield's AI Infrastructure Fund, it created a new company called Radiant. That company needed a brand, from scratch, in 60 days. No other branding firm wanted to work under that time constraint. Brightscout did.

Together we built the logo, the brand assets, the website, the launch video, the brand guidelines and everything else.

This included working during the holidays! Our project managers were thorough communicators, checking in with us almost daily.

Summary of Scope
Brightscout provided design and development services aimed at launching 6LOCK's SaaS platform.

Requirements
In the requirements phase, Brightscout worked closely with the 6LOCK team to clarify, refine, and finalize the requirements. This involved synthesizing the requirements into documented epics and user stories, ensuring they were ready for the development team. Brightscout also collaborated to prioritize these user stories, addressing the most valuable and high-risk items early in the development process. All user stories were managed in JIRA, providing a structured approach for sprint planning and progress tracking throughout the project.

Design
Alongside finalizing the requirements, Brightscout’s design team iterated on and finalized the high-fidelity UI designs for both web and mobile devices. The deliverables included finalized Figma prototypes and the source files, ensuring a smooth handoff to the development team.

Development
Brightscout worked with 6LOCK to finalize selections for the core technology stack and third-party tools, accelerating time-to-market. The team also designed the platform’s cloud architecture and set up the necessary environments (Dev, Staging, and Production), along with Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) automation. AWS resources were defined and provisioned using Terraform, following security best practices.
During this stage, Brightscout iteratively delivered work products based on the refined requirements and UI designs. The team reviewed the requirements and designs to update the initial work-breakdown structure and sprint delivery plan. Features were implemented based on this iterative sprint plan, including automated tests. Peer code reviews were conducted, with feedback addressed before code merges. Interim work products were delivered regularly for review and feedback, while any issues encountered during testing were investigated and resolved. Brightscout delivered multiple iterative releases along with manual QA testing to ensure production-readiness.

Brightscout continues to contribute to ongoing development and production support as they assist with transitioning engineering responsibilities to 6lock's growing internal team.

I’m the marketing lead for Predibase, a technology startup launching an AI platform.

Brightscout was brought in to help us with our branding.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Brightscout has helped us create our initial brand definition, visual identity, logo, and website. I wasn’t part of the company when they joined the project. However, I’ve retained their services since I joined.

Currently, Brightscout provides us with ongoing web development, design, and creative services. Over our engagement, their team has done a lot of work with us. Since I joined, they’ve refreshed our messaging and gone through a few iterations of our website.

During those iterations, Brightscout has created multiple animations for our website, as well as new pages with more information about our product and platform. The team has also created pages for a wide variety of other purposes, such as use cases, platform usage, resources, and the learning center on our website. We’ve also implemented a workflow for a free trial. Through it, users can come, fill out a form, and receive an automated message to engage in a free trial.

Brightscout has also implemented Contentful as our CMS and developed a lot of custom features and capabilities into it so that I can publish blogs and update the pages as needed. Overall, Brightscout has been our web partner, managing everything related to our website design and development.

In addition to Contentful, Brightful has used a number of other tools to create our website. For example, they’ve used Gatsby as a headless CMS tool and Netlify for development. They’ve also used Figma as a design and collaboration tool.

What is the team composition?

We work with a core team of five teammates from Brightscout, including Jelena (Digital Project Manager) and other resources in charge of animation, design, and development. These teammates get involved in our work depending on how big the projects are. We’ve also worked with Charles (Creative Director & Co-Founder), who helps us out from time to time.

How did you come to work with Brightscout?

Although I wasn’t part of the hiring process, I know that Brightscout came to us as a referral because they had worked with other startup companies. Since I joined, they’ve been great to work with, so we’ve kept them on board to do a lot of extensive work.

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve spent around $100,000 in total.

What is the status of this engagement?

I joined my company in September 2022, so I’ve been working with Brightscout since then. As mentioned, they were hired before I joined.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

As we’ve built content on the website, Brightscout has been very helpful in building many pages to host that content. Although we don’t necessarily track website traffic, we’ve seen around a 10x increase in web traffic since I joined in September 2022.

How did Brightscout perform from a project management standpoint?

Brightscout has been very flexible, responsive, and collaborative. As a startup, it is common that our projects have very tight deadlines and changes on the go, so we have to remain flexible, innovative, and responsive to the market. Brightscout has been incredibly helpful in that regard.

For example, whenever we’ve had major product launches or quick releases, Brightscout has been incredibly responsive and agile. The team is able to respond to our request on very short notice.

Some of those major launches have required them to create 5–10 new web pages over a couple of weeks, and they’ve been able to work fast and be flexible on their hours. This includes staying up late or starting work early in the morning to ensure that the launch goes properly.

As for communication, we have a weekly call via Google Meet or Zoom, during which the project manager goes through the project at hand and brings different teammates to the meeting so that we can review their work. We also talk almost daily via Slack and use Notion to track and manage our projects.

Brightscout is very responsive to our Slack communication. Whenever I have an issue with the website, they’re very quick to respond and at least acknowledge the issue to solve it as soon as possible.

Are there any employees from the service provider's team that you would like to give a shout-out to in this review?

Jelena has been our main point of contact. She’s very attentive and responsive to our needs, and she is always on top of our projects. Moreover, Charles has been very helpful as well.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Brightscout’s design work has been very high quality. I’ve been very happy with their design aesthetic; I’m always impressed by their designs. Whenever we need them to make changes and work on a design, I feel very confident that they can get us to the place we need, as they always deliver a high-quality product.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I don’t think there’s something Brightscout could improve on.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Overcommunicating is always good. If you have as many checkpoints and touch bases as possible, you’ll have a better product in the end.

I’m the VP of marketing at Galileo, a company operating in the AI and large language model space.

What challenge were you trying to address with Brightscout?
Brightscout has been helping us with everything we needed on the creative side. This includes everything from our brand definition, graphic design, and physical space design to web design and development. 

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?
I joined Galileo only four months ago, and Brightscout had already rolled out the branding of our company. At that time, we were launching a product that required a refresh of our website and brand.
Together with Brightscout, we created the new website’s mock-ups and brand elements. We completely redesigned the existing website from there, which took a matter of weeks. We also rolled out the accompanying assets, such as print documents, websites, and other visual assets that we could use across social media to represent the new brand.
We had an existing website in place, and we got rid of a handful of pages while creating new pages. Brightscout designed those pages and sought our feedback. From there, their team implemented the designs on the new website. They used Sanity as the CMS and Figma for designs.
At present, they continue to serve as our creative agency. We have an occasional need for motion graphics, so their animation person helps us create animated GIFs, visuals, and other such files. They’ve recently designed and built a new website under Galileo’s sub-brand.
What is the team composition?
We work with 6–7 teammates from Brightscout. This number fluctuates based on the projects that are in flight. At any given time, we have a project manager, a visual and graphic designer, and a digital designer who helps with everything for the website. Apart from them, a designer and motion animator helps with motion graphics. A developer takes all of the developed materials and publishes them on the website. Finally, an account manager interacts with us on a monthly basis.
How did you come to work with Brightscout?
Our CEO found Brightscout through a personal recommendation.
How much have you invested with them?
We’ve spent between $70,000–$90,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
The engagement started in January 2023, and our most recent initiative was completed in November 2023. However, our partnership is ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
We’ve seen an increase in traffic across the board for our new website. We’ve gained more engagements not only on our homepage but also on key blog posts. Brightscout has cleaned up the UI of our resources section, which has created a better experience and easier content sharing.
For our latest initiative, they’ve successfully created a new website with a Galileo sub-brand. We’ve rolled it out, and it’s been live for around ten days. In one day, that web page has become the second most viewed asset on our main website. I’m expecting this to continue to increase. Overall, the Brightscout team has done great work.
How did Brightscout perform from a project management standpoint?
Brightscout has been extremely agile and adaptive to our changing needs and requirements. The pace of their work is extremely fast. We usually only have 2–3 weeks of heads-up for many of our initiatives, and the team has been able to deliver on time in every scenario. The best part is they maintain a positive attitude during the entire experience when things can get truly stressful.
They’ve been great at communicating timelines, sticking to deadlines, and delivering on time. They communicate where we are in the monthly usage of our allotted time, so there’s great visibility into their progress and billing. Oftentimes, the only thing holding up projects is our side. Overall, working with Brightscout has been great.
For tools, we use Notion for project management. We’ve started building out a process in Asana, and we communicate weekly through stand-up calls. In between those meetings, we track progress via Slack, where we create threads for key activities. This has worked well for us.
What did you find most impressive about them?
Their biggest strengths are their skills, grit, and ability to hustle. They clearly have a talented team of designers and developers who deliver high-quality designs without much direction. They often have a better expression of the designs than what I might have done myself. On top of that, they have the persistence and hustle to get things done on time. They have the best combination of design and execution skills — we get the best of both worlds.
Are there any areas they could improve?
In the past, we discussed billing transparency. We’d had some surprise charges without much visibility into their progress. They’ve since put some measures to improve that.
Other than that, our work with Brightscout has been great. There have been times when the quality of the product or print materials design has come into question, but that’s just part of learning to work together while providing better direction and feedback.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Align with Brightscout and define a shared brand foundation. Agree on what your brand should look and feel early on, and building assets and projects on top of the brand foundation will be easy. Give the team as much clarity and detail about what you’ve envisioned. Don’t be afraid to use a whiteboard or a piece of paper to draw out what you’re thinking — share it with them. 
Moreover, being iterative might also be helpful. In our case, Slack works great for us because we can go back and forth on questions immediately. We’ve worked with other agencies over the phone and via emails, where things slow down.

Brightscout was absolutely wonderful to work with; they were informative and did things quickly. Their quality of work and design were great. Overall, they did a fantastic job.

They met our deadlines and budget, and Max was amazing. We mainly communicated through Slack and Zoom.
What did you find most impressive about them?
I was impressed with their creativity in building brands and the quality of their outputs and work.

Let Brightscout be creative. Give them guardrails to work within, but also give them the freedom and flexibility to come up with new concepts. That’s where they truly shine.

What challenge were you trying to address with Brightscout?
We hired Brightscout to help us build a web app with console-based capabilities. The goal was to give the capabilities a more modern UI/UX and tie other products together. The team worked on jumpstarting our entire effort to bring that fully featured UI together. Essentially, we wanted to go from zero to hero — we didn’t have a web UI, and we wanted to build it from scratch. 

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?
In the beginning, we spent a few months working through mock-ups and designs on Figma. Brightscout rapidly created prototypes for the UI/UX mock-ups. We discussed back and forth about the aspects of their designs. The team conducted stakeholder and user interviews to get a sense of what data would be used in the app to help them build a workflow and user personas.
Once we got to the development stage, we worked on building the right team and figuring out the communication cadence we wanted. We went with twice-a-week meetings on Mondays and Wednesdays. Every Monday, they’d present the sprints they’d worked on; we went through any additional questions and user acceptance tests every Wednesday.
For technologies, we used the React-JavaScript framework. They also used React MUI for rapid prototyping.

We had a dedicated project manager alongside four developers who might have been exclusive to our projects. Mike (Co-Founder) and his partner at Brightscout were also part of the conversations.

The engagement started before I joined the company, but we found Brightscout through a referral.

We spent close to $300,000.

The project lasted from May 2022–June 2023.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
The fact that we were able to transition everything internally spoke to the quality of the deliverable from Brightscout. We onboarded new developers after the engagement ended, and they quickly understood the app within a couple of days. In other words, the ramp-up time for us to use the technology was quick. We had multiple customer deliveries with the product and active users using the product.
How did Brightscout perform from a project management standpoint?
Mike did a great job ensuring everything was great, while the project manager did a great job in terms of planning. She ensured they knew what did and didn’t work every time they delivered a milestone. They took the time to understand what they could do better every time a sprint ended.
Overall, the entire team was great. I was satisfied with their turnaround time; they had great time and budget management. For communication, we had a shared channel on Slack, which allowed us to do real-time conversations in addition to our structured meetings.
What did you find most impressive about them?
Brightscout had a great eye for design. Having the design delivered properly first made the development process easier. It also ensured that we were delivering the right product for customers. Overall, the team’s attention to the design was top-notch.
Are there any areas they could improve?
They could have escalated blockers faster outside of our regular communication cadence.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Be engaged. Put more effort into engaging Brightscout during interviews in the design process. The earlier you do this, the better the finished product will be.
