I’m a partner and board member of Robotikos Akademija, a robotics academy. We teach kids robotics and go to schools to teach kids about health, technology, robotics, engineering, and programming. We work with over 500–600 schools and over 200 mentors across Lithuania. We’ve also expanded to Dublin and Chicago under the name STEAM Academy.

What challenge were you trying to address with Bright Projects?

We were working on optimizing the processes of the company. We came up with the idea that we needed an internal management tool to gather registrations, payments, and invoices for parents. Over 10,000 parents log into our website to pay for after-school activities, and our admin system processes over 400,000 euros of payments every month.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Bright Projects has built our admin system and the full architecture from scratch. We started with WordPress and now use Laravel. We’ve been working on the system for so long that it’s gone through several versions. It’s now the most comprehensive after-school management system in Lithuania and Europe.

They have also also provided maintenance services for the system for the past three years.

What is the team composition?

We work with Lina, the founder and CTO, Sandra, the COO, and the senior software engineer.

How did you come to work with Bright Projects?

Linas joined us back in 2015 as a mentor. He taught kids about coding, and we started growing rapidly. He offered to code a system for us, and we accepted. That was the initial first step of our engagement.

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve invested around 300,000 euros.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together in March 2015, and the engagement is ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

The team has built probably around 10 websites for us throughout the years. The system has increased our efficiency. Before the system, we had one full-time client support team member for every 300 clients. Now, we have one client support team member for every 1,000 clients. We’ve seen a 300% increase in efficiency for administrative work. It was a very good investment.

How did Bright Projects perform from a project management standpoint?

The team has always stayed on budget. We’ve had moments when it took a bit longer to meet deadlines, but that’s natural. Overall, I’d highly rank them. Even if there’s a problem with the timelines, they communicate it clearly.
They communicate effectively via Slack and use Jira for project management.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Linas’s capability to understand systems is impressive. I was impressed with how he built the architecture. This is his superpower to build these systems and architectures. He has a systematic way of thinking and knows how to optimize things. While having a conversation, he can already start building an architecture to make everything more efficient.

I also like the team he’s hired. He has good values and team spirit. All the developers are top-notch, and he’s trained them well. It's important to have the right direction.

I love that he spends a lot of time on innovation, technology, AI, and the newest tools. He always introduces us to the newest and most efficient tools. For example, he brought to us all the Google Drive, Slack, and the IT system. Even though he was only working on the system, he brought third-party tools to make the process more efficient.

I would list it as understanding of architecture and a systematic way of thinking, leadership to hire high-class developers, and retain them. That's a very important part. And lastly, innovation and bringing cutting-edge tools.

Are there any areas they could improve?

The only thing they can improve is the timeline. However, I’ve never worked with anyone who’s perfect with timelines. I think the communication solves it.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Things could be more complex or simpler than you think. Listen to the expert opinion and know where to focus. Problems happen when you mix these two or change your mind along the way. Be ready to invest more time in the early days to understand what is simple and complex. Once you make a decision, try not to shift midway because it’ll be expensive and time-consuming.

I’m the co-owner of BrAIn Club, an afterschool brain gym that helps kids build a healthy relationship with technology through fun, science-based activities. We combine AI, neuroscience, and VR to boost focus, emotional control, and cognitive fitness.

The most notable measurable outcomes from our project with Bright Projects include a fully developed brand identity that clearly differentiates BrAIn Club in the neuroscience and EdTech space, a responsive and visually engaging website that has already received strong early feedback from parents and educators, and a structured, scalable learning platform now in development. The UX flow and interface design have driven high engagement during testing, and we now have a solid foundation to expand our digital offerings while maintaining a cohesive and professional user experience.

Since we haven’t officially launched the online platform yet, our measurable outcomes are based on in-person showings and small focus groups. During these sessions, over 90% of participants—including educators, parents, and early users—have expressed strong positive reactions to the visual design and clarity of the learning experience. Several have described the interface as “refreshing,” “easy to navigate,” and “unlike anything else in the EdTech space.” These early focus group insights have given us the confidence that the platform is resonating with our target audience and is on the right track for a successful public rollout.

The feedback from our team and stakeholders has been overwhelmingly positive. Everyone loves the direction—it’s a fresh, bold take on EdTech that feels genuinely future-focused. We went from an idea to an actual working product with recurring revenue, that is the main outcome. Our website is working every day to generate additional customers every week.

BrightProjects were very professional every step of the way. If we had issues they were solved immediately. There were times where we had to release something sooner that we planned for and the team always found a way to accomodate to our needs.

Overall, this is the best project management experience we have had with any IT development team.

Hands down - their customer-first attitude. Other IT companies imply that they put the customer first, but in actuallity are looking to serve their own needs first. Not these guys.

There were times where other companies would have dropped us a customer, but BrightProjects were commited and helped us out quite a lot and I'm ultimately very grateful for that.
