However, those issues have been resolved with better project management by both Briebug and JPMA.

## Portfolio & Awards

### Enterprise High-Performance Team Augmentation
NetApp - Unlocking the Best of Cloud for its Customers
NetApp is an industry leader in simplifying and accelerating cloud transformations for enterprises such as Dreamworks, Ducati, and Coca-Cola.
At a key moment in the company’s growth, NetApp sought a development firm that would partner with their teams to increase bandwidth and velocity in order to achieve their aggressive timelines.

The Need for a Partner
NetApp had multiple development initiatives and demand for application capabilities that needed to be delivered. Anticipating the need for critical front-end and DevOps expertise, John Shults, Senior Software Manager, reached out to Briebug in order to achieve their aggressive timelines while still maintaining its high-quality standards.
“Quite a few new requirements came up that were front-end focused. We needed a firm we could truly partner with that could ramp up fast without a lot of hand-holding, work independently, bring their expertise to solve problems and offer strategic guidance to the way that we do things.”

Key Decisions and Solutions Implemented
As part of Briebug’s high-performance team augmentation delivery model, two expert enterprise software engineers were carefully chosen to bring NetApp strategic guidance and best practice implementation. The blended team designed a multi-phase approach to rapidly execute several strategic recommendations that were critical to achieving NetApp’s evolving development goals.

Continuously Delivering Rapid Innovation
NetApp’s partnership with Briebug not only resulted in increased expert bandwidth, but they continue to see a tremendous return on investment from all of the improvements made to their coding standards, tooling, and processes.
“It's been a great engagement. Briebug enabled us to move faster, and that was what we needed. The partnership has not only left a lasting impression on me, but other managers in the company as well.”

### Complete Outsourced Development Partnership
JPMA - Helping Women and Children in Need
JPMA provides a mobile and web application called WICShopper that helps women and their children in the Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants, and Children (commonly known as WIC). Using WICShopper, WIC participants can easily download their real-time benefit balances and scan products to verify that they are eligible to buy select items while shopping.

The Need for a Partner
The company had bootstrapped for many years to gain traction and was developing the product without experienced engineers, project managers, and UX designers. The company started gaining traction by several WIC agencies in multiple states when they realized they had to overcome several technical challenges. These challenges included maintaining two separate native applications (Android and iOS), to rapidly expand features, and the capacity to support the growing caseload (80,000+ daily users and 5+ million requests per day).

Key Decisions and Solutions Implemented
Left with a market-proven product, yet lacking the necessary specialized resources needed to maintain and develop it, JPMA partnered with Briebug to augment their product owners and completely trusted Briebug with their development.
“Briebug helped us in so many ways that, in hindsight, we never would have been able to achieve if we kept a traditional path of trying to build this on our own by hiring FTEs.”
In typical Briebug fashion, a multi-phase strategy was designed to keep the current product supporting customers while moving rapidly to execute several architectural decisions that supported JPMA’s growth.

Continuously Delivering Rapid Innovation
JPMA is now able to rapidly develop new capabilities and valuable features for its customers without the management and liabilities of an in-house development team.
“The relationship really changed how JPMA does business and I think it was one of the key factors that continue to make us successful.”

### Strategic Rebuild for Accelerated Time to Market
GoCarrera - Connecting flooring dealers and qualified flooring installers anywhere in the nation.

After working with an India-based development team to build out their 1.0 platform, GoCarerra's software quality and lack of experienced developers began to hinder their ability to adapt to their customer's evolving needs. Co-Founder, Daniel Drouhard, explains, "We had gotten to the point that little changes became very very difficult". Fixing one error would lead to another, making their product challenging and expensive to maintain.
GoCarrera had a poorly architected platform with the inability to deliver the needed capabilities from highly engaged prospective customers. To save their business, GoCarrera partnered with Briebug to rapidly rebuild their application from the ground up, this time designed and architected to be intuitive, easily maintainable, and performant.
With all that was accomplished during the engagement, GoCarrera continues to see a tremendous return on investment including the ability to rapidly develop new capabilities and say "yes" to new customer requests as they continue to pursue product market fit.

### Intuitive Solutions that Maximize User Adoption
Founded in 1990, Heartland Community College provides accessible, equitable, and innovative learning opportunities to several communities in Illinois. As part of the way they strategically plan and implement new initiatives to enrich the lives of their students, Heartland developed a project management system called their 'Continuous Improvement Portal'.

The system's code quality and the college's limited technical resources had made maintenance and security increasingly difficult. Scott Bross, CIO for Heartland explains, "we were at a point where every time you brought in a new programmer, you pretty much had to wipe out the old guy's [code] because you really couldn't understand what he was trying to do with all these different layers and paths! The application itself needed an evolution".

After reaching out to several organizations, Heartland trusted Briebug to build an enterprise-class system that would support us over the next 10+ years. Heartland's partnership with Briebug not only resulted in increased expert bandwidth, but their systems were now secure, performant, and easy to maintain. "The application itself is healthy, it's going to grow, it's stable, and it's not just holding itself together."
