What challenge were you trying to address with Botego?

Botego has experience building chatbots, while we develop tools for optimizing them. We have partnered with Botego in order to consult clients on their pain points and needs, and work together in addressing these issues.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Botego has been largely focused on building chatbots which are launched on Facebook Messenger and has worked with the related APIs. This is conversational software which can handle certain use cases for clients, and generate conversions, in whatever way that would apply to their business.

How did you come to work with Botego?

I reached out to Botego after finding out that they were a prominent chatbot IT shop. Botego has more experience than most in a relatively new space. Botego had been working with this technology for years before it became popular.

How much have you invested with Botego?

We're collaborating with Botego in order to help each other, and there's no money exchange in our partnership.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working with Botego 2 months ago. We're currently working with multiple clients of Botego.

Could you share any evidence that would demonstrate the productivity, quality of work, or the impact of the engagement?

The fact that Botego was able to attract top brands speaks to the quality of their work. They've considered corner cases, and other unexpected things that users might say.

How did Botego perform from a project management standpoint?

I was impressed with Botego's follow-up. They've taken detailed notes from our meetings, and seem to generally be well-organized, with a good workflow.

What did you find most impressive about Botego?

Botego's experience and knowledge in an ever-changing space have made them stand out. Botego has knowledge of the ongoing changes that the Facebook Messenger is announcing, and what implications they have. Botego is able to stay on top of a fast-moving industry.

Are there any areas Botego could improve?

Nothing comes to mind.

We are an email marketing software-as-a-service company similar to MailChimp and Constant Contact. I am the founder and Chief Executive Officer of the company.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

What challenge were you trying to address with Botego?

Our plan was to create an Agile environment and a small, lean company. Instead of hiring many customer support and sales personnel, we relied on inbound sales and self-sufficient support systems. Having a bot answer most of the questions has helped us a lot. We have 400-500 paying customers, but one part-time support person can easily handle them. Most of the questions that we get are the same 10-15 ones repeated, and we can handle the rest of account-specific ones manually.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Botego implemented our system using one developer. The JavaScript code was already in place and only needed to be integrated into our site. A day's work was more than enough for the job. We were given access to a simple admin interface for adding and maintaining questions.

How did you come to work with Botego?

Botego was mentioned in a Tech Crunch article about support bots. Botego was very responsive to our inquiries and had a base product able to handle most of our needs, not requiring a long integration period. We were able to provide basic questions and leave the rest of the process to Botego. Because the system can handle natural language processing, we didn't have to anticipate every instance. We simply supplied a basic list to Botego, and their software can somehow manage the variations, responding accurately.

How much have you invested with Botego?

The cost of Botego's service has been less than $5,000. We're a small company in its startup phase, so Botego helped us with the budget.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working with Botego at the end of 2015. The first phase of our project was for customer support. Botego has deployed the tool successfully. We're also discussing implementing the sales part of the bot, which we hope to integrate by the end of 2016.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Could you share any evidence that would demonstrate the productivity, quality of work, or the impact of the engagement?

By integrating Botego, we were able to have it handle 90% of our inquiries, which lowered the day-to-day customer support load of our team by a lot. Because Botego is a flexible and smart solution, some customers even asked for the email address of the person who helped them, thinking that they talked to a real person.

How did Botego perform from a project management standpoint?

Botego's team was very attentive and responsive during the entire project. We received same-day responses to all our emails and had a couple of Skype calls discussing the integration.

What did you find most impressive about Botego?

The only thing that stands out, aside from the quality of the product, was the budget set by Botego, meant to accommodate startups. I don't think that the product is priced the same for enterprises.

Are there any areas Botego could improve?

I can't think of anything.
