We started to work with Boostern at the beginning of the year in different areas: web design and hosting management, Search Engine Optimization (SEO) and Google Analytics. One of the issues we found with most agencies regarding these areas is that they are mainly focused on sales and benefits, while goals for patient organisations are completely different. Boostern understood our goals, suggested actions that were appropriate for a nonprofit organisation and provided different solutions and services that are really valuable for us. Options like Google Ads Grants wouldn’t have been possible without them. Another crucial thing for any organisation is working with an agency who provides fast responses and solutions when something happens (the website is down, problems with the server…), and also who works proactively to avoid these issues and quickly detects them when they happen. The communication with Boostern is always easy and smooth. It is important for us to feel that our agency is part of team.

The security in our website/hosting has improved. The monitoring in errors or website downs is much better detecting and correcting every possible issue in a timely manner. SEO is ongoing.

It is difficult to find an agency which is not focused on sales when talking about online goals. As we are a non-profit organisation our goals are different and so is our budget. Boostern takes this into account and adapts the solutions they provide to our goals and budget.

We worked with Boostern in the creation of a highly customized and low-overhead business website. While our agency developed the design, Boostern took over and successfully managed the entire coding process, implementation of CMS-features, and making sure everything runs fast. All of this was accomplished.

The new website was a great implementation of our initial design. The website itself was fast, feature-rich, and allowed us to manage it without issue while offering a more professional look and feel in the frontend than our old website ever could.

The European Multiple Sclerosis Platform (EMSP) is a Pan-European umbrella organization with over 30 years of expertise. We work together with members and partners to ensure that the more than 1.2 million people living with MS in Europe, have a real voice in determining their own priorities. I am the Senior Communications and Membership Coordinator of EMSP.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

For what projects/services did your company hire Boostern, and what were your goals?

We hired Boostern for our MS Barometer project, to design a layout for a 50-pager benchmarking report and 35 country factsheets which were also translated to different languages.

We also asked them to develop an interactive platform where the main data from the MS Barometer is showcased and where the national level data can be compared with each other. All this made future proof with a custom backend where the future editions of the barometer can be uploaded in a user-friendly format.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

We run a tender among over 10 providers who applied and decided to select Boostern based on the quality of their portfolio and the reasonable budget they proposed for such a complex work.

Develop a hybrid server-side rendered web app with static and API driven pages. (Building a NextJS frontend connected to the project’s API hosted on Digital Ocean’s app hosting platform).

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

We had dozens of positive feedback from our community regarding the new online platform. They were very happy about the user-friendliness of the online tool and we've been reported that it made quite a good impact at the national level in several European countries.

We had daily updates and weekly meetings with the contact point who was always very patient and helpful. If there was a delay, he always let us know if time, but usually it was us giving him short notices. He still delivered despite many tight deadlines. To communicate we used emails, Discord and Messenger.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Boostern developed a platform that can process and showcase extremely complex data. They even made it future proof for us, so that we can keep using the same platform with updated data in the future.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

After the launch, there were some minor changes that needed to be made, but Boostern was extremely fast to reply and correct the mistakes.
