Describe the scope of work in detail. Please include a summary of key deliverables.

We hired BNMA to build an end to end technology platform that could be described as the "YouTube of Audio."

We needed the entire front and backend to allow users a simple but intuitive user face to upload audio content, intelligently search through indexed content, playback audio, and share that audio content across platforms.

We also required a recommendation engine that could leverage user data to capitalize on showing the best content in their feeds based on historical searches, clicks, listens, and more to keep their attention on the platform and help them discover new types of content.

The simplicity of uploading and accessing audio content would ensure a smooth user experience, encouraging users to spend more time on the platform. This ease of use would not only attract a broader audience but also cater to a diverse range of tech-savviness, making our platform accessible to everyone.

Moreover, the advanced recommendation engine we required was pivotal for enhancing user engagement and fostering content discovery. By leveraging user data, such as historical searches and listening habits, the platform could provide personalized content suggestions.

This customization would not only improve user experience but also increase the likelihood of users exploring new genres or creators, thereby broadening their audio experiences.

In the digital age, where content is abundant, the ability to present users with precisely what they are likely to enjoy is a significant advantage.

This feature would not only keep users engaged longer but also help in building a loyal user base, as users would come to rely on the platform for discovering unique and appealing content.

Summary of key deliverables:

• Mobile App (iOS + Android)
• Web App
• Intelligent Search Engine
• Recommendation Engine
• Sophisticated but simple UI
• Admin portal to see all analytics on how users were engaging with the platform along with permission-based tools to allow or remove content on the platform
• Audio player that could keep user historical usage intact in order to deliver the best listening experience
• Email marketing via AWS to automatically send updates to users
• Push notifications on mobile
• Designing and building the entire database

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Outcomes:

• Thanks to BNMA, our startup raised over $300K from angel investors who trusted in the early stages of the platform due to stellar development.
• Full mobile app and web app were complete, functional, delivered on time, and within the allocated budget.
• User feedback was exceptional, at one point we averaged 20,000 page views a day without the website crashing or being under stress due to successful backend deployment of the platform being intact.
• Team was exceptional to work with, communication was instant and whenever a virtual meeting was needed, regardless of time or day, someone from the team was able to get on a call and discuss any core issues.
• Recommendation engine leveraged historical data points for users and was optimal and successfully showing valuable content enabling more users to discover new audio, the core goal of the platform.
• Admin portal delivered stats that allowed us to better understand the platform's progress and analytics in order to focus on core KPI's to continue broader growth and fix areas that were not performing in terms of content.

Describe their project management. Did they deliver items on time? How did they respond to your needs?

Project management was exceptional. BNMA responded within minutes of any query or assistance we needed. They truly cared as if it was their own platform, staying up late into the night and making sure we were satisfied.
