Please describe your company and your position there.

I’m the CEO and founder of Blockfashion, a company that provides transparency solutions for the sustainable fashion industry in LATAM through a platform where companies can upload their products, their stories and traceability.

For what projects/services did your company hire BlockBear?

We needed to develop the Blockfashion platform, a traceability solution for the sustainable fashion industry. We wanted costumers to have complete information on fashion products, from how they are made, under what conditions and what processes were used so companies using our platform could offer such information in order to improve consumer confidence in the products they buy. Fort he solution, the use of blockchain technology was critical to bring transparency and confidence to the process.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

I met BlockBear founders at the Blockchain Summit conference they organized in 2019 and was impressed by their industry knowledge so I felt confident they could deliver what we needed.

Describe the project in detail and walk through the stages of the project.

They aided us in executing a consulting workshop to understand our business needs and how a solution using blockchain could help us to achieve our goals. Then they proposed a development solution which was validated with one of our clients, Universo Mola. Finally they developed from the ground up a blockchain based mobile and web platform to provide consumers complete supply chain traceability information of the fashion products.

How many resources from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?

The project involved a total of 6 people, two consultants for the first part during workshops and then 4 developers to create the platform.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

The platform is currently being used by over 220 companies in several LATAM countries such as Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Ecuador and Peru. We are very happy with the results.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

The whole project was executed professionaly and within the specified times. They were skillful both at the consultancy and development levels. Sometimes we met in person for reviewing advances, otherwise we used Zoom. We also coordinated project activities via the JIRA web tool.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Their team was really involved with our project from day one, being IT people that had no previous experience working in our industry (fashion) they were eager to learn how our business work to serve our needs better.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

We don’t have any complains, everything worked fine with them.

CEO and cofounder of Boki, an edtech platform for school education with presence in several LATAM countries.

For what projects/services did your company hire BlockBear?

We wanted to explore the possibility of opening up our content creation process to creators outside Boki and see if we could benefit from using some form of cryptocurrency as payment method in order to pay collaborators from all over the world. So we hired BlockBear to run a consultancy and POC with this objective in mind.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

I’ve known some of BlockBear’s team members from working together previously on other projects so I was confident they could deliver the results we were looking for.

They started by running a very thorough consultancy workshop to understand our needs and create the use cases for a cryptocurrency based payment solution, a loyalty token to incentivize students to finish courses and complete tasks within them. Then they developed a proof of concept that integrated to our platform in order to show us how it could really work.

How many resources from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?

Four people were involved in the project, two people for the consulting workshops and then two developers to build the POC.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

They delivered in time all items that were agreed upon and their assistance proved very helpful to evaluate how blockchain tech and crypto payments could help Boki achieve its goals.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

Their management was pretty good and met deadlines for both the workshop consultancy and POC development. They used SCRUM as their methodology of execution which we were already familiar with. We communicated via Skype meetings, emails and coordinated activites using JIRA.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

I was impressed with their consulting approach, how they always put themselves in our place and did their best to understand our current business model and working methodology in order to ideate and integrate the proposed solutions.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

No, we got what we were expecting from them.

I’m the CEO and founder of Learnio, an edtech startup.

For what projects/services did your company hire BlockBear, and what were your goals?

I hired BlockBear for a consultancy workshop with the aim of helping me create a web3 based educational platform. The objective of this workshop was to develop a business model and token economy, help me redact the whitepaper for fundraising and analyze different blockchain networks for development.

How did you select Blockbear and what were the deciding factors?

I heard about BlockBear through Blockchain Summit Global, a well known industry event they sponsor and organize every year. I needed blockchain and web3 experts to carry out the consultancy and they were the best fit for my needs.

Describe the scope of work in detail, including the project steps, key deliverables, and technologies used.

We first started with a product discovery workshop, with a brief definition of the product, filling a Product Vision Board, Business Model Canvas, identifying the working team, project priorities and different user personas.

After they helped me clarify these, we moved to the token economy and use cases, where they helped me find different utility cases for the token within the platform as well as help defining staking rewards, token distribution, buybacks and how to structure the token sale. Finally we defined a roadmap for project execution.

How many people from the Blockbear team worked with you, and what were their positions?

There were 2 people, working as consulting experts for product discovery, web3 and blockchain with vast expertise in token economics and decentralized finance (DeFi).

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

The consultancy and workshops were executed within the proposed time of two months, producing all the expected deliverables within the specified time. I’m very impressed with the team’s knowledge and capacity for execution. The resulting whitepaper has been very helpful to present and explain the project to possible investors.

Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timeliness.

They used an agile methodology, always met the proposed deadlines and everything worked out smoothly. We used mainly email and Zoom meetings for the workshops.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

I had direct contact with the founders, we could communicate fluidly and I felt comfortable when they challenged some of my original ideas. They were knowledgeable in their field of expertise.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

I’m pleased with the achievements of the workshops and the final result. Really enjoyed working with BlockBear and their proposed methodology, so I can’t think of any improvements at this point.
