We sought to create a collaborative for students, academic institutions, and businesses. The platform was created using cutting-edge tools like Amazon AWS for backend and database administration and React Native for compatibility across platforms. Construction of the fundamental platform with appropriate testing and updates came first. 

Then, we concentrated on developing new functions to meet the needs of our target market. The UI/UX of the app should be easy to use, hence this was taken into consideration when developing the capabilities. The Learners Panel, Company Panel, and Super Admin Panel were the key deliverables.

Although the application is still being developed, we are pleased with the preliminary findings. 90% of the scope has been completed, and we are virtually ready for deployment.

We thoroughly researched both our category and the competition before beginning the job. Next, we inquired about the app's experience from current users. In a workshop that we also organized, we generated some fresh concepts based on customer feedback. After finishing the designs, we presented them to consumers once again to collect last-minute input before submitting them to Apple and Google.

With the finished product and the design solution they provided for us, we are overjoyed. The feedback we have had from investors and partners has been entirely favorable, and it has given us access to a lot of new opportunities. I am the Head of the Marketing Department of Shift, a company dedicated to providing consulting and technology solutions to other retail companies, in order to generate profitability from better management of their workforce.

For what projects/services did your company hire Bigbuda, and what were your goals?

We needed to start our digital transformation and the first step was to completely renew our website. For this, we were looking for a website that was modern and functional, focused on conversion (generating leads). This is the service that we contract with BigBuda.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

We chose Bigbuda because their portfolio of work was diverse and of high quality and design. That gave us confidence: seeing that other companies evaluated them so well. In addition, when we discussed the details of the time and deadline for the project, BigBuda committed (and then met) deadlines that other companies could not guarantee us.

After the commercial stage, we started the project very quickly. We already had a mockup of what we wanted as a product, that helped us meet deadlines. We started with a kick-off to review general objectives, in terms of functions and web design. The first two or three weeks were about design, in which we were presented with graphic proposals for the different web pages (the home page, the solutions page, clients, etc.) We had regular meetings (every 4 or 5 days) to review subsequent iterations, until reaching a consensus on all pages.

Then, the programming stage began, which took another three weeks approximately, to end with the testing stage and final improvements. Regarding design iterations, we refer to mockups delivered in PDF. In the programming stage, work has already been done on the Wordpress ecosystem.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

Since the launch of our new website, we have been able to implement clearer processes for measuring key indicators. Thanks to the better web performance, organic traffic improved by 35-40%. First page load times dropped by more than 100% In terms of design and usability, the whole team was very satisfied, because it was simple and easy to access important information.

We did a super fast project, in 2 or 3 weeks less than what other providers offered us. For that reason, I think, we didn't dwell as much on the use of project management tools. However, we were always well communicated through email and also mobile.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

The confidence that his team had in the final result. They convinced us because they were able to listen to our needs and because they made a commitment that was not easy, to develop a website in less than 2 months. In addition, the team's professionals were very warm to me, almost as if we were from the same company.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

Today after several months I have realized some things in the web configurations that could have been done better, especially in the use of plug-ins and tracking codes that are very relevant for digital analytics. There was not much advice in these terms, but I understand that our project was very fast and the mission was to have it in a short time over the implementation of a perfect and sustainable website over time.

BigBuda Digital Agency developed our website. We tried different templates as it’s based in WordPress. Once we found the template that we most liked, their team customized the platform to fit our needs. They also gave suggestions to help us.

We communicate via email, WhatsApp, and phone. They’re always available and reply promptly. Their team’s empathic and present.

They developed projects of outstanding quality. We checked their portfolio and it contains at least 20 high-quality sites for other important companies in our country. I don’t have anything but positive feedback for them.

It’s hard to say but the price could be improved. They’re more expensive than other companies but provide high-quality service, making the cost worthwhile.

Also, as a university, we can’t have contracts with too many different companies. Because of this, we decided to work with them as they were an available choice with a positive reference.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We could see the impact of their services immediately. Before, we didn't have a good reply rate because we didn’t manage to send all the emails that we needed to. It was tedious work and hard to achieve. After we started using BigBuda Digital Agency’s mailing services our reply rate almost doubled, and we were able to reach a lot more people.

We are also able to create emails ourselves, add pictures, and download links. We can also check statistics of how many emails have been opened, such as who has opened them, who replies to them, etc.

Their work has been very helpful to us. Because of BigBuda Digital Agency, we have been able to collaborate across other divisions of the university and create reports and metrics for all of us.

How did Bigbuda perform from a project management standpoint?

It has been a great experience. We haven’t had any inconveniences, they always reply promptly and solve any issues that we may have very quickly.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They are always in permanent contact with their clients. Whenever I have any issues, they call me right away. That creates a sense of fidelity with the company.

I would like to have more options for email creation. That has remained pretty static during the past few years.

The results of the project were not adequate, we had to hire a second company to fix it. BigBuda Digital Agency told us they’d create a customized site, but we realized later on that they had used online templates. This forced us to reorganize and change our website. The project manager didn’t communicate our needs to the developer, so I had to get in touch with the developer directly.

Because they’re a small company, we met the owners and project manager at our first meeting. However, we didn’t hear from our project manager for the remainder of the project. If they want to grow and improve, they should increase their staff.

We started working with them around October or November last year, and the website was finished in January.

It has been positive so far. The site looks nice, and the design is very good. However, the site hasn’t been launched yet so we will have more feedback after that.

How did Bigbuda perform from a project management standpoint?

We used Google Meet; it was all very efficient. We had a meeting to define everything right away. Later on, we had to use a call center to communicate with them, which, to me, makes the communications a little bit cold, but it worked well in the end.

What did you find most impressive about them?

The managed the technical concept very well. They are very confident.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I found them a bit distant at the end of the project. Maybe they were very busy. They still responded, though, and the project was delivered.
