I don’t think there’s anything they can improve on; they were always available, friendly, did good work, understood our requests, and could deliver what we needed by finding solutions without charging extra.

I'm the CTO of a company who specialises in custom software solutions for our clients. Solutions can be any technical product or services, such as websites, e-commerce, mobile applications, integrations and more.

Our company is growing quickly and we have challenges hiring local talent to supplement the demand for projects. We needed to find a reliable and quality external partner to add capacity to our team without compromising the successful delivery of our projects. The capacity we were looking to fill was specifically web development front-end and back-end.

We chose to "test" out Betlace with a low-risk project to assess the quality of the work. We quickly became confident that they were reliable, good communicators and produced quality work, which is why we are continuing our partnership with them at present.

We handle all customer-side communication and project specifications. We hand over a clear specification to the Betlace team, asking them to perform the development of the following areas of the project:

• Front-end template development (in HTML + TailwindCSS)
• Front-end framework development using EleventyJS
• WordPress CMS integration
• ACF (Advanced Custom Fields)
• Testing and content creation

A project manager was our main point of contact. We also deal with 1 developer directly who is good at communicating.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

We assess the quality of the handover in relation to the Figma designs our designer produces. It is easy to measure the quality as we compare the design files to the developed pages directly. The first project Betlace handed over was very close to the design files. After setting clear expectations on the quality that was expected, Betlace made sure to deliver the quality we needed.

We initially used email, but changed to Slack for daily communication, feedback and updates. For important project kick-offs, we setup a video call with the project manager.

We were impressed by their willingness to accommodate all our needs and adapt to our way of working and producing the projects. Even with their country going through very difficult times due to the Russian Invasion, they have still kept up their work and communication.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

The first project that was handed over had some changes needed to achieve the quality we required. But Betlace were quick to make the changes and have since been able to deliver on the quality we need.

We were looking for a service supplier that offers design, web development, hosting support, and consulting for new integrations.

I found Betlace on the web, and after our first interview, I got my questions answers and get the feeling that Dmitry, the project leader knew what he is doing.

Based on the brief and the material we provided, Betlace set up an adaptation period to take over our website and planned it's an improvement. Then, they proposed a new set-up (More ressources on the dev side and senior project manager) to help us with our biggest challenge which was to build a converting website with the implementation of our new branding.

Dmitry was the project leader and was supported by a project manager, a designer and 4 developers.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

We challenge Betlace with a new design concept. The result was brilliant and helped us to be seen as one of the top 5 companies in our industry in terms of the trust. We got a slow start with development but Dmitry injected more resources to get faster delivery.

Once Jira has been set up in detail, project progress was easy to follow and reduced by half the communication requirement. We used Slack. Our weekly stand-up meeting lasts about 15 minutes (Only) in the last weeks of the project.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

They adapted and scaled their service that helped us to overcome the extra pages we needed to develop. It was not planned at the start of the project. The junior designer showed an unexpected maturity to implement our brand advisor's feedbacks. The result was outstanding.

I like live meetings and a few members couldn't communicate live with me but replied by chat. The project leaders always found the way to push relevant information

Then we sent them the content and every details they asked us. The procces was verry good, they was friendly and we had informations of the progress step by step.

Some of the technical solutions created by Betlace have been truly impressive. The quality of coding produced is up there with the best devs I have worked with in the past. For example a recent build saw a clients website Google Page Speed/Lighthouse score increase from 9 to 73 on mobile and from 57 to 98 on desktop!

One awesome benefit of Betlace is that we have devs on Slack and Jira and can communicate with them directly. They are also happy to join standup calls as required.

Not only are they technically competent, but they are also genuinely nice guys.

Spoken language is always tricky when English is not native, but written comms is excellent.
