We hired Belkins to help automate our Sales pipeline - as we had a good understanding of our customers and value proposition, but lacked the resources for high throughput lead generation, qualification, and appointment setting.
Within our first 3 month pilot - Belkins generated over 1500 leads and delivered an average of 15 appointments per month. All were high quality leads that were a great fit for our product, and we already see an ROI based on closed deals.
Belkins has been great to work with and very responsive to feedback. I had an issue with their first leads list, and after setting them on the corrected course, I've been very happy with their work. So long as your company provides Belkins with the proper information, resources, and boundaries - they will deliver!

BACKGROUND
Introduce your business and what you do there. I’m one of the owners and president of Neuline, a kitchen cabinet distributor. We import cabinets from Germany and sell them in Texas.
OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE
What challenge were you trying to address with Belkins? We wanted to increase our market presence as we expanded to a new city. Given that, we aimed to do an email campaign instead of just social marketing. We wanted to be more precise and gain more traffic.
SOLUTION
What was the scope of their involvement? We did a four-month email campaign to increase our traffic and get the ability to make some bids that we could turn into actual jobs. I initially spent about 45 minutes–1 hour on a call with Belkins. They assigned a team leader to us who walked us through the sales cycle. He asked us about our business and learned about who we were, what we did, and how we did it. He also learned about our products and services and what differentiated us from others.
After that, we had a kickoff meeting, and they assigned a team to research and help us find our ideal customer. The idea was to do an email campaign, and if people were interested, they’d do follow-up calls. They’d do that until the target customer said they either weren’t interested or wanted to schedule an appointment. From there, we’d set up an on-site or video meeting. Our own team would do the sales pitch.
Belkins created the email templates and handled the wording. They worked with our graphic designers on the brochures, which were there to make the emails more attractive. What is the team composition? We worked with 6–7 teammates from Belkins. Our team leader was Ben (Account Executive), while Veronika (Sales Development Representative) and Natalia (Middle Research Specialist) conducted the meetings to get people to talk to us. Two other teammates did the research and templates. How did you come to work with Belkins? I hired a marketing group that did our website and helped me with my branding, and they recommended Belkins. How much have you invested with them? We invested $24,000 in total. What is the status of this engagement? We collaborated with Belkins from August–November 2023 for this project, although we had an earlier engagement that occurred in August–November 2021.
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? We generated around 1,500 leads and made a total of 60 appointments from those leads. So far, we secured one sale. Most of the meetings resulted in bids, and that was how we got jobs in this business. For instance, our earlier engagement with them resulted in two customers — I still do business with these customers, and they’re among our top ten customers.
Overall, the quality of Belkins’ work was amazing. They were open in terms of how they gathered those 1,500 contacts. They went through more contracts and whittled the list to 1,500 because the others didn’t fit our criteria. Simply put, they didn’t hide data from us.
On top of that, the templates they created were great. They gathered feedback from the meetings they scheduled and used that feedback to improve their templates. They strived to qualify people faster and get more information through that, allowing us to get a higher turnover eventually. They ensured we were talking only to people who were truly interested in our cabinets. How did Belkins perform from a project management standpoint? Belkins did a great job managing the project and keeping us in contract. We did a three-month contract with the possibility of extending it. After the first two months, they asked us to think if we were going forward. We decided to extend the contract for another month.
Meanwhile, I spent most of my time working with Veronika, and she did a remarkable job getting people to take appointments with us and ensuring they’d show up. She, Natalia, and Ben did an outstanding job.
We mainly had email communications. Every time meetings with leads were set up, Belkins updated us and gave us the conversation thread they had leading up to the meeting. As a result, we knew specific things about the customer when it was our turn to talk to them. What did you find most impressive about them? Their turnover at the end of the project was so detailed that they essentially archived all the materials we used and gave me a way to look at them easily. They didn’t just dump 2,000 documents on me; they also helped me know which ones to focus on when I got them. Moreover, they devised a way for customers to review us after each meeting. This intensified feedback allowed us to get positive reviews and help our customers know what they were signing up for during the meeting. Are there any areas they could improve? No, there aren’t any. Do you have any advice for potential customers? Don’t think that the best marketing is always social media marketing. Email campaigns work. Belkins is great because they can synthesize what we talk about in a short amount of time and make it relatable. They then use that information to find clients who’ll buy your products or services. Social media may allow you to cast a wide net — you may or may not get customers — but email marketing is a much more focused type of marketing.

Our collaboration with Belkins started in mid-March, and admittedly, the initial results were slower than expected. However, we were happy to witness a significant improvement in outcomes after making a strategic shift. In June, we were impressed with their performance so we signed another contract for three more months. The impact has been positive, with a total of 46 appointments scheduled.

Are there any areas for improvement or something Belkins could have done differently?
Better prep at the beginning of the relationship for our industry, language we use. Better attention to detail with email copy and if it totally makes sense. Getting the templates right took longer than I would have liked and I had to do more work than I was hoping to get them in the right spot. That said, overall they have done a great job.

Initially, the scope was broad, targeting any industry relevant to wood and lumber use, starting in South Dakota with plans for geographical expansion. Their approach included diverse sectors like Lumber Buyers, Furniture, Home Decor, Retail, and Construction Manufacturers. However, through the project’s lifecycle, based on our feedback, Belkins refined their focus. We steered away from sectors such as Retail, directing our attention more towards the Manufacturing industry related to wood products. The collaborative and iterative process with Belkins led us to a satisfying outcome.
