The project management process was highly efficient and organized. Using Jira for task tracking and progress monitoring, the team kept all tasks well-documented, prioritized, and updated. They also utilized Hubstaff for time tracking, ensuring transparency in their work hours and progress. Slack was the main communication tool, and we received regular updates on progress. These updates were consistent, clear, and timely, providing full visibility into the status of the project at all times. This structured approach helped keep the project on track and ensured a smooth, collaborative experience.

I’m the co-founder and CEO of White Label. We’re an outsourcing IT company based in Poland and Ukraine. We specialize in e-commerce in Magento and WooCommerce, as well as custom software development and mobile apps. We work as a software house company for end customers and as a subcontractor for IT companies from the same industry.

We needed additional support on our e-commerce projects.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Barwenock is our staffing partner on e-commerce Magento projects. Their developers have joined our project teams. The team has supported us in building and maintaining an e-commerce platform for a large Polish fashion company, as well as for a company in the UK.

We’ve considered subcontracting projects to Barwenock, but that is a complicated process; right now, working with them as part of our team makes more sense. We share our documentation and wireframes with them. Barwenock offers project management services in addition to staff augmentation, but we mainly work directly with their developers.

What is the team composition?

We’ve worked with at least 20 Barwenock teammates; the team is mostly senior front- and backend developers. We’ve worked with some junior developers, but Barwenock spends a lot of time teaching teammates before sharing them with partners. We also have an account manager.

How much have you invested with them?

So far, we’ve spent almost $500,000.

We’ve been working together since August 2021.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

They always react fast and give us good, certified candidates to work with. We have information in HubSpot about wins and losses from the staff augmentation projects, and I can confirm that Barwenock is really good; we’ve worked with other agencies because we have many projects, but we’re no longer looking for other staff augmentation support because Barwenock is our number one agency. They’re Magento experts.

How did the company perform from a project management standpoint?

We’ve been satisfied with Barwenock’s time estimates. They definitely don’t cause problems; there have maybe been one or two problems, and Barwenock reacts quickly. Their top management team gives us a replacement if something goes wrong.

My role is simply to pay the invoices I receive from Barwenock, but others in my company work with them more closely. We use Microsoft Teams to communicate with our Barwenock account manager on a daily basis. The team uses email and phones as well.

Barwenock solves problems first and informs us about potential interruptions in communication or development staffing. Their developers are professionals with a strong knowledge base. Their team is skilled and has experience with Adobe. Their managers have worked in the US, so their style of communication and problem-solving is particularly American.

No, not that I can think of.
