I'm the VP, treasurer, and co-owner of Life Assurance Company of America, a small life, accident, and healthcare underwriter located in Chicago and Oakbrook Terrace, Illinois.

What challenge were you trying to address with Ava Digital Agency?

When we took over the company, we noticed that it didn't have an internet or social media presence whatsoever. We had acquired the company from an elderly gentleman who had started it, so we had to start again from scratch.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Ava Digital Agency has helped us establish our social media and online presence. As for the social media work, they've specifically helped us create our Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn profiles. They've also been providing us with online marketing and sales strategies, and they've developed a website with e-commerce capabilities to allow customers to buy insurance policies online.

Initially, we provided Ava Digital Agency with some content and historical background on the type of products we sell. After that, they took the lead in the next steps.

What is the team composition?

Vik (Co-Founder) is my main point of contact from Ava Digital Agency, but there are probably about a dozen teammates working on the project.

I found them online and checked with some of their past clients to see their experience. Those clients told me to consider working with Ava Digital Agency. Ultimately, I hired them due to their experience and know-how in helping companies develop a strategy and setting up their digital media and online presence.

We started working together around the fall of 2020, and our engagement is ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Ava Digital Agency's work has been very successful, and they've been very strategic. Before this project, we had no online presence at all, so they've basically helped us launch in the online and digital world with what they've created for us. We've been very pleased with their performance in getting us where we wanted to be.

We've received a lot of positive compliments on the designs and the look and feel of our website. Moreover, we're very happy with how things are working on the backend. It has been nice to have a good-looking UI that works well on the backend, too.

How did Ava Digital Agency perform from a project management standpoint?

Ava Digital Agency has been very responsive, timely, communicative, and transparent with what they do. When working with third-party agencies, there are always hiccups along the way. Still, they've generally delivered on time and on budget, and there haven't been issues that have prevented us from completing our goals. At the end of the day, getting to where we are has required us to be patient.

Are there any employees from the service provider's team that you would like to give a shout-out to in this review?

I would like to give a shout-out to Vik. He's hands-on and wants to make sure that the projects are well-managed and completed on time. He has a lot of pride in delivering what he promises, so I couldn't ask for a better partner.

Ava Digital Agency is very versatile, free-thinking, and collaborative.

Are there any areas they could improve?

Everyone has room for improvement, but I can't think of anything specific Ava Digital Agency could improve on. Of course, we've had challenges along the way, but we've collaborated quite successfully on those. Vik does anything he needs, whether it is research or on-the-job training, to figure issues out.

Give them a shot. I've recommended them on a couple of occasions, and one of the referrals is more than happy with them.

Overall led marketing strategies for Fuel Me, overseeing full-service offerings including SEO, website development, email campaigns, social media management, and more.
