• Build an iOS & Android mobile app
• Play audio & video programs
• Use digital rights management to ensure users can download the audio but cannot save it to their personal device without a subscription
• Create multiple modules including a library of programs, a calendar module, and lists of Favorites, Recent, and custom playlists
• Create a backend web admin portal that allows company team members to upload content and control what users see in the app
• Ability to live stream from the app
• Send push notifications from the app
• Build an onboarding sequence for new users
• Integration with Stripe, Branch.io, and CRM platforms

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

• App was released on the Apple App Store & Google Play Store
• Users can successfully purchase subscriptons on our website & on the app stores
• Users can download audio & video programs
• There is a web admin portal that is used to control the content in the app

Describe their project management. Did they deliver items on time? How did they respond to your needs?

The team has been very responsive to our requests. We've had a multitude of deadlines during the proejct. At times we've successfully met the deadlines and at times we fell short. The best thing is the project management resources have been consistent through our entire multi-year relationship which makes it much easier to maintain the core knowledge of the project. The team was also very flexible to meet with us virtually when needed.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

The most impressive thing is how many of their resources have stayed with the company for many years. Typically you find a lot of turnover but not here. 

Are there any areas for improvement or something Athenaworks could have done differently?

It would have been helpful to have more technical documentation of the project along the way. I also take responsibility for not requesting that, nor making budget for it.
