I'm the platform lead. Originally, beepbeep.ph is an online directory platform for car shops/services related to cars. Now, we transitioned to a driver services platform that offers driver-on-demand, maintenance valet service, roadside assistance, and LTO-related services assistance.
OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE
For what projects/services did your company hire Argon Software, and what were your goals?
We came to a point wherein we need to overhaul and revamp our website due to a lot of issues and limitations. Given that, we outsourced the development of the new platform and its maintenance to Argon Software.
SOLUTION
How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?
We found Argon via referral. A previous work colleague of mine referred them to me and after meeting Henry, with his knowledge and experience, I have decided to proceed and award the project to them.
Describe the scope of work in detail, including the project steps, key deliverables, and technologies used.
We started with project scoping to determine the requirements and timeline. We prepared the PRD to include the specifics (features, specifics, etc...) and shared it with them. 1st phase was more on design (mock-ups, assets, & approvals). After we locked the designs, we then started the development (using scrum).
We divided the tasks into sprints to achieve those small wins within the development period and to make sure that we cover everything. After each sprint, we proceed with QA and UAT. After the whole project was delivered, we did a full regression of the website to do final polishes and then scheduled the launch. Stack-wise, we were using laravel.
How many people from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?
There were 4 people. 1 project manager, 1 front end, 1 full-stack senior, and a QA.
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?
We were able to launch the new platform on time. We are now able to accept online bookings via the new platform and improved the page speed of the website from 14 secs loading (old site) to 3-4 secs (new site).

They were practicing scrum and agile methodologies. We were using Trello (for designs), Jira (for the development), and Slack for the communications.

Direct communication with the team and their pro-activeness in recommending and suggesting better and cost-efficient alternative solutions. Also, their strong knowledge of software development is very impressive.

Nothing that I can think of as of now.
