We needed a software engineering partner.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Arbisoft has built entire products for us. We’ve used them for 100% of our software engineering needs, and we’ve also leveraged their QA and project management capabilities. For example, they’ve built a podcast player for our company Moonbeam. They wrote all the frontend and backend code and built a machine learning platform to ingest 50 million podcast episodes. The platform then predicts what podcast episode the listener would want to hear next.

Before we begin coding, we write product requirements, UI designs in Figma, and technical specifications.

What is the team composition?

We’ve run about ten projects with Arbisoft. We’ve worked with an average of 4–5 engineers per project, but sometimes we’ve had a dozen or more.

How did you come to work with Arbisoft?

I found Arbisoft over 15 years ago, soon after I started Kayak.com. I chose them based on their extraordinary CEO, Yasser Bashir. He’s a visionary, a hands-on technology leader, and a fantastic people manager.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working with them in January 2022, and the engagement is ongoing.

The Arbisoft team is embedded within our on-prem development team, but is particularly focused on delivery of infrastructure as code automation around AWS resources, continuous integration and deployment and disaster recovery. Key deliverables include:

Full automation of the application stack infra deployments in a dedicated testing environment.
Enablement of AWS security and proactive improvement of new and legacy application security posture
Implementation of Redis global cache as well as tools to manage/monitor it

Full daily jenkins builds of the infra stack AWS security hub reports
