Apzumi is helping us to bring our vision to life. We presented them with ideas and with the help of their product manager and a series of working sessions over Zoom we are working with them to turn this vison into a product.Together, we identified key features and user flows. 

Apzumi team members are very focused, detailed and supportive. They listened to our ideas and they offered ideas as well. They have been very patient with incorporating changes as our vision has changed. The project of building the mobile add is still ongoing and we look forward to continuing to work with their high quality, experienced team.

We have been working with 2 project managers overtime, both have been very dedicated in their efforts to understand what we want to achieve. They have been exceptionally flexible to unforeseen changes on our end. 

They also have demonstrated enthusiasm for building the best product on the market. We have been included in the decision making and they have asked for feedback every step of the way. We typically have meetings once or twice a week to ensure timely communication and quick problem solving. Working this way has earned our trust.

In the first steps Apzumi helped us to shape the idea for the product while taking into account system conditions for the target platforms. Together we have defined the scope of the project and Apzumi delivered a functional app for tests. Our feedback was taken into account and implemented within the product.

We work very dynamically, and the planning ahead was not always efficient which delayed some of the feature, but not significantly.

Apzumi started with a detailed analysis and system architecture design of a large-scale multitenant healthcare system. In parallel, they prepared UI/UX design and optimized it for various user groups. Further process was highly iterative development of robust and scalable web and mobile platforms as well as integrations with multiple hospitals, clinics, and laboratories.
The developed system enables receiving of test results from healthcare facilities. It provides users with an easy way to share and distribute their results with others. The system also offers the capability to manage minors (children) in scheduling and completing their tests.

They were diligent in keeping the project schedule and backlog current and organized.

We’ve had a series of discovery meetings, analyzing code review results and defining strategies for implementation (for backend and for mobile parts). Having this in place, we’ve started the prototyping and design phase, followed by testing by the internal marketing team. Implementation was organized in biweekly sprints ending with demo sessions, where the team was presenting a piece of working software and explained how it works.

Our feedback was taken into consideration and handled in the following iterations. Technologies used: Java/Kotlin (Android), Swift/Objective-C (iOS) + integrations with many of the services and platforms that we use, like Magnolia, Salesforce, Airship, Apple Wallet, FB and others.

Over those few years of collaboration we have had a few Project Managers, but all continued to follow the same process and were very proactive, helpful and professional in leading our products management in collaboration with our internal teams. In the intensive product building phase Apzumi applies Agile Methodologies to manage development. Thanks to this we were included in planning, reviews and QA process and could provide feedback and introduce some enhancement on regular basis.

We were always informed about status of work, tasks were well described and each review was supported by real time demonstration of new app increment with detailed comment how code was implemented and why. The project managers were skilled and experienced in building mobile applications of similar size and complexity.

We were communicating with them either on the phone or via video conferences on a daily and weekly basis. All summaries and important matters were written down and shared via email. The project documentation was done using Confluence - and constantly updated. JIRA was used to monitor task progress and to exchange tickets between the teams involved.

For the apps which are currently in use Apzumi is also supporting us with the maintenance. Through weekly meetings and constant communication we were able to establish smooth cooperation which is helping us to react on daily basis to users’ needs and improve the products.

The high level of skills and experience of the leaders, who were easily adapting to changing conditions and different business priorities on our end. They were very proactive which made our collaboration smooth. The quality of work was always confirmed by our QA team. On a personal note, cool people to work with.
