Once project requirements and scopes was finalized, the development process starts with wireframes, design systems, screen designs and eventually moving on to agile user stories and continuous releases of completed features.

Towards the end of project, production release readiness was includes stress testing and load testing to ensure platform performance can meet projected business growth in the first year. With the target external users and internal users in mind, the platform requires a mix of mobile application, web application and cloud based infrastructure along with a range of 3rd party services to enable fast and reliable transactions that are critical for great user experience but not core value proposition of the product.

Over the duration of the project, we worked with approximately 20 people. The team starts small with a few senior leads such as project manager, product owner, but quickly expand as the project moves from discovery phase to design (2 designers joined) and eventually delivery phase. In delivery phase, at any given time we’d be working with 6-8 engineers from various skill sets such as front-end engineers, mobile app engineers, backend engineers, test engineers and system architect.

The app has been live for almost a year now; we’ve never had significant issues with functionality. tecHangouts LLC provides upgrades phases and maintenance services.

The project manager was really good about guiding me along and was really patient with me while I figured out my end of the project. I haven't ever done anything like this before, so I appreciated the patience. We mostly communicated through slack, emails and had several phone calls as well.

Overall, the project team is really strong, and we enjoy working with them. They understand what our requirements are, and, if there’s anything that we need to flag or escalate, they’re very quick to react and drive action items. Not to mention, the quality of the solution was very good considering the relatively little investment that we made.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

Approach in experience design and design system could be improved. When working with more than one designers and multiple platform, consistency is sometimes lacking. UI and interaction sometimes lacks consistency in the design. However when feedback is given, they were always addressed and refined.

Project manager created a group with us on Skype/Zoom and scheduled multiple meetings with us , so that all the process can be transparent to us through out the development. They invited us on trello to assign bugs or any features we needed to prioritise.We also used emails and phone calls for quick chat to know the status.

The way they effectively used scrum methodology and delivered deployable products every 4-5 weeks, So that we were able to show our investors the progress.

We recently launched our apps and website in the market. We are start getting the lot of user on board and we are happy the way we have our app and website. Really impressive work!!

We were not having any SRS document so they took our idea on call. I guess there must be documentation of requirement either by client or by service provider.

They started by understanding how our minicab operations work on a daily basis including bookings, dispatching, driver availability, and customer communication. They designed and developed a mobile app for passengers with features such as booking requests, live vehicle tracking, driver details, trip history, and notifications. On the backend side they built an admin and dispatcher panel that allows controllers to manage bookings, assign drivers, monitor trips, and handle peak hour demand more efficiently. They also implemented AI driven logic to assist with assigning the nearest available vehicle and reducing delays. Testing, deployment, and post launch support were also part of their scope.

After launching the app we noticed a clear increase in customer engagement through mobile bookings rather than phone calls. Dispatchers were able to handle requests more smoothly during busy hours and drivers received jobs faster with fewer back and forth calls. Customers appreciated being able to track vehicles and receive updates, which reduced complaints and follow up calls. Overall operations became more structured and less stressful for both staff and drivers.

Describe the scope of work in detail. Please include a summary of key deliverables.

The project involved developing a cross-platform mobile and web app designed for spa customers, enabling seamless scheduling, reviews, referrals, and multi-device access(iOS, Android, and web). 

MVP feature prioritization selecting a tech stack (backend: Node.js/Firebase/AWS; mobile: React Native/Flutter; web: React.js/Angular). Next, design and prototyping will produce wireframes, high-fidelity mockups, and an interactive prototype for stakeholder feedback, followed by user testing. Development will focus on customer-facing features (user login, service browsing, booking, payments via Stripe/PayPal, reviews, referral programs, and push notifications) and service provider tools (profile management, scheduling, earnings tracking, and customer chat). The backend includes a secure database (SQL/NoSQL), REST/GraphQL APIs for bookings and payments, and an admin dashboard for analytics and content moderation. Rigorous testing (QA, performance, security) and beta testing. 

Post-launch, my app is supported by Apptechies with monitoring, feature enhancements to ensure scalability and user satisfaction.

The key metrics were app usage including scheduling performed and reviews submitted.

The Apptechies team was incredible! I always got a response immediately with any questions or needs post launch as well as constant communication during the build. They were very responsive and the CEO Ajay really saved the day by offering his knowledge to items I had no clue on.

The fact they treated me like a partner and cared about the user experience. It wasn't just building an app, they did a lot of custom work to make my app special and different for way less than other big app developers.
