I’m the brand manager at Mezan Group, a company that produces olive oil and other related products.

What challenge were you trying to address with AppsNation?

We needed support with video production, graphic design, website maintenance, and design. It's worth mentioning that our website already existed, but it usually crashed. We received many complaints from visitors, so we needed to revamp the whole website.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

AppsNation has helped us create a video showcasing a cleanliness drive we conducted in Pakistan. At first, we collected pictures and videos from the event, and an editor at AppsNation edited them to create a video, adding music and motion graphics as I requested them.

Moreover, AppsNation has assisted us in several design tasks, including logo, graphic, and package design. In fact, they have created e-cards for Christmas and other holidays and developed motion graphics and static posts for our social media. They deliver around 12–15 posts. This way, they have helped us maintain our social media handles.

Additionally, AppsNation has fully revamped our website using WordPress. The team has also helped us update our branding since it was obsolete. They are currently assisting us with web maintenance and new updates.

What is the team composition?

We work with an account manager who liaises between us and the team. There's also a graphic designer and a video editor.

How did you come to work with AppsNation?

I found AppsNation at an exhibition where they had a beautiful stall. In fact, they are very active in expos and exhibitions. I gathered information from their stall and social media and found testimonials on their website, which encouraged me. I found their YouTube videos compelling as well. Basically, I found them via their physical stalls and social media.

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve spent around $400 on the website, $250 monthly for maintenance, and $500–$600 monthly for social media. Pricing for our beverage social media handle is negotiated separately.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together in October 2021, and the engagement is ongoing.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We have posted the resulting video on our Facebook page. I now play it at conferences and use it regularly for my social media handles. As a result of AppsNation's efforts, our Facebook page followers have increased from 30,000 to 70,000, which is a huge plus. Our brand was once the top trend on X and has a great following on Instagram. We have received multiple likes and comments, which has pleased us.

On the other hand, before hiring AppsNation, our cooking oil Facebook page had around 180,000 followers, and now it has around 230,000 followers. We’re currently the third-top brand in cooking oil on Facebook.

AppsNation knows the best times to post, what to post, and the best color schemes. They're so different from other companies in my country that don't want to spend money by boosting every post. In light of this, we have asked AppsNation to strategize our social media posts so we can get likes, shares, engagement, impressions, and clicks without spending money, and they’ve done a great job. We craft some posts, but not all. 

AppsNation also helps us engage with our consumers on Facebook and respond to their queries in a timely manner, which is very important to a consumer products company like ours. Many consumers have messaged us on Facebook and Instagram to find our products in the market, and AppsNation has helped them find where to buy them. We’ve also received good orders through Facebook. Overall, their response time has positively impacted our consumer queries and helped guide our clients to our products, no matter their market.

Additionally, AppsNation helps us find and resolve any negative propaganda or grievances about our company or products. This is crucial in this social media era, where so many people are online. AppsNation has a great research team focused on our products, which has been truly helpful so far.

How did AppsNation perform from a project management standpoint?

We communicate using Microsoft Teams and Zoom. We haven't used project management tools, although we do have a CRM and an ERP system that helps us record our sales data. We handle these ourselves.

I want to give a shout-out to Waqar, who I'm connected with and who assists me in all duties and responsibilities. He has been very cooperative.

What did you find most impressive about them?

We’re very satisfied with AppsNation. They have a good understanding of video editing. Our management is also very satisfied with their understanding and expertise. Their technicians and graphic designers have shown expertise and profound knowledge in their field.

Furthermore, since we are one of AppsNation's biggest clients, they have proven to care about us and have given us good services at reasonable prices.  When I compare their services against their charges, I conclude it's a reasonable deal. They really understand their customers' needs.

AppsNation has expanded its services and evolved into a giant. They offer many services, and their performance has encouraged me to work further with them on mobile app development. Not to mention, they are doing wonders in development and have a very good knowledge of AI integration into their services; they are updating themselves with new technologies.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I can't name anything they can improve; they are doing a good job. There aren't any issues or queries to raise. Management never asked me to find another agency, and we have been truly happy with their services. We want to continue with this relationship.

Additionally, during the testing phase, there were a few minor bugs that were only noticed later in the process, which required a bit of back-and-forth to resolve. Although they handled these issues quickly, a more thorough testing process earlier on could have helped catch these bugs before they became an issue.
