My client wanted to develop WordPress websites with layouts and plugins, complex additional backend features, and user functionality. The solution also needed to allow future app development for accompanying products.

What were your goals for this project?

We needed to develop an online system that would serve our contractors and generate leads as well as SEO and marketing opportunities. By using a popular open-source platform, we wanted to ensure flexibility and a supportive foundation.

We've worked with several development companies from the U.S. and India that we found on Guru, Upwork, and similar platforms. Generally, we tested them on smaller projects first before starting a long working relationship. AppSierra was the only provider that maintained a professional approach, met the deadlines, and exceeded our goals. In fact, most other companies abandoned projects in the middle of development because they lacked the right skill set, never finished the contracted work, charged higher prices that they originally quoted, didn’t meet our specifications, or even lied to us after missing deadlines by months.

Because we have an existing confidentiality agreement, I can’t provide specifics. In short, AppSierra took over a single website project that was late by a full year and didn’t meet our specifications. They redid the whole site and improved it. Due to our experience with AppSierra, we're now working on a large network of sites as well as apps and SEO.

The company owner for whom I'm managing this project requested a full-time developer and three to four weekly Skype meetings. During each meeting, the owner supervises the work, and we go through additional brainstorming and goal changes. AppSierra has been incredibly flexible, providing us with structure despite the huge time difference and the additional difficulties this style of work creates. The company owner has the final word on all design and functionality decisions and participates in our Skype meetings. I’m acting as the U.S. project manager, as well as the additional developer, troubleshooter, designer, and mediator between tech people and the client.

AppSierra provides resources as needed based on each task’s scope. One developer is assigned to our project exclusively. An AppSierra manager also provides regular quality control and sorts out the logistics.

What was the team composition?

AppSierra structured the project using Jira. We provided documentation and continuous feedback. The client's side consisted of a single person with executive decision-making capabilities, two assistants, and myself as the project manager. AppSierra assigned several people to different projects based on their skill sets and provided the primary project coordinator to ensure all of our needs were met and the right people were working on each task.

What outcomes or results can you share that demonstrate progress and/or success?

AppSierra's suggestions and solutions were often more creative, efficient, and aesthetically pleasing than we expected. We're still happily working with them exclusively and are confident in their skills to move on to larger projects together.

They met our deadlines and were accessible through Jira and Skype. The language difference was not a problem, although we occasionally had call-quality issues while using Skype.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

They're organized, have a wide skill set, and guide clients in a way that promotes results. At the same time, they’re flexible enough to accommodate our idiosyncrasies. They delivered solid work and met our deadlines consistently. Ultimately, they distinguished themselves from the other vendors we’ve worked with through their professional conduct and reasonable prices.

What tips or recommendations do you have?

As a partner, AppSierra is completely self-motivated. If you have absolutely no technical knowledge, I’d recommend finding a member of your company with some experience and asking this person to communicate with AppSierra. AppSierra wants to understand the client’s goals and expects informed and detailed answers. I think they’re a great match for a startup or a larger company that already has a tech team but needs to expand their capabilities.

My department conducted a scheduled web meeting and they conveyed manual and automatic testing to see where are our pros and cons. After that, they gave us samples of different wireframes and web outlooks which were all unique and simple. We decided to include some entertaining interactive chat boxes and pop-up animations for the website. Then the team chose Wix and Node.js as part of our interface.

They gave me a highly professional and sharp team to work harmoniously with my department. There are 2 Graphics designer which were both expert in web design, an Animator for our educating, entertaining and interactive short animation. 1 Business developer to assist us more with analysis and a Web Developer.

Our Website relaunch this September and the upgrade made an impressive positive feedback from our target audiences. It created more opportunities and our queries along with our traffic skyrocketed at 84% in just a week with AppSierras' team solution.

Communication with team AppSierra is very professional. They are very vocal with their ideas and in sync with their opinion. Every conducted Zoom meetings and Skype video calls were answered 24/7. They explained everything simply and understandable.

I was most impressed with their team's critical thinking skills and professionalism. They dont just act in their own, they will make you get involve with the issue and yet they will let you know their answers and solutions. They will bring you end results that will exceed your expectations. Precision and on time delivery of everything smoothly without problems.

Method of organization is solid and helps the system runs smoothly and in the right process and procedure. They help us achieve our goal of upgrading freshly with their suggested web development and in trend design. They run a test manually and automatically through our new website and the results were splendid. Their work is at the top of the benchmark.
