One challenge we encountered was the time difference, as the ApexTech team was primarily based in Europe, several hours behind Singapore. This initially impacted our real-time collaboration. However, after we raised the concern, they were accommodating and adjusted their working hours to align with our schedule. This flexibility mitigated the time zone issue, leading to more efficient and seamless collaboration.

We have the FairPrice App, with thousands of customers ordering groceries online for delivery. We wanted to enable customer to also use the app to order food from Kopitiam.

An important part of this is the POS customization to allow the food stall cashiers to receive the order, accept/cancel them, and inform "ready to collect" once meal is prepared.

Apex team developed this application. Later, they also took over the Backoffice application for our operations to manage the online food catalog.

We had good recommendations of Apex as a technology partner that could ramp-up a great product development squad in a very short time.

We had internal product managera, UX designear, and engineer manager. Apex brought the Backend developers (GoLang), Frontend developers (Reacj), Project managers, and Quality Assurance analysts.

This formed an augmented team that worked on scrum methodology to build, pilot, launch, and evolve the products.

Apex has assigned their own staff and our engineer manager had a brief conversation with them. All Apex suggestions of people allocation were accepted.

We were able to build, pilot, launch, rollout, and evolve the SAPP (Seller App - application) and the AdminPanel. Those two applications are crucial for operating the digital food ordering service we are now providing to Kopitiam customers thru the Fairprice App

Despite the difference in timezone and language, the team has worked smoothly together.

Having a project manager point-of-contact on Apex side was crucial to ensure fluid communication. They were quick to surface/acknowledge and fix eventual comm problems between Apex and us.

I am a Product Lead overseeing the full product lifecycle and our development program in MedMinder (MA, USA). MedMinder makes it easier for your parents or loved ones to take their medications in the right amount and at the right time.

With visual, audio and phone alerts, you’ll never need to remind them when to take their meds again. And you will be notified if they missed dosage. MedMinder is the only pill dispenser with Medical Alert, daily weather forecast and the ability to upload family pictures. We make taking medicine entertaining.

The team created a well-crafted development plan, divided by sprints, and provided deliverables at the end of each sprint - fully functional and tested application modules.

By using existing APIS and by working with our backend team on defining new APIs to complete functionality, the ApexTech team made the project completion fast and seamless

All project goals were completed and all planned app functionality was implemented. The app is ready to be launched on both Apple and Google platforms.

The team was perfect in the amount of communication. They were completely independent but were ready to provide timely updates, ask the right question and maintain a very healthy communication process. We never had late deliveries which were not communicated and postponed by mutual decision.
