I work as AVP, Marketing and am responsible for Program Management, Project Management, Delivery and support Marketing Operations, Marketing BU Partners and Digital Marketing on various marketing requirements.

For what projects/services did your company hire Ambab Infotech, and what were your goals?

As part of the WNS global brand revamp, we also revamped the WNS Corporate website. As part of the website revamp, we required to integrate a large number of pages on the new website - HTML, CSS, JS and using our CMS. AMBAB Infotech supported us in this integration of our new website as the designs were already ready.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

Our erstwhile Head of Digital Marketing had worked with AMBAB Infotech in the past and suggested their expertise in developing mid-to-largescale websites and that's when we approached them and evaluated their expertise before shortlisting them.

Describe the scope of work in detail, including the project steps, key deliverables, and technologies used.

We had close to 1500 pages which we developed with our inhouse team and AMBAB Infotech's support. It was largely integration of pages on CMS using DNN framework.

We had a 4 member team working and supporting us with this requirement over a period of ~1 year:

• 2 Front-end Developers
• 1 Content Specialist
• 1 Project Manager.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

Clients and stakeholders have really loved the new design, user experience and content across the website.

We had daily standups, a project tracker where all tasks and actionable were outlined and monitored regularly.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

The speed of delivery and strong development skills are their assets. Also, their responsiveness to feedback, iterations was impressive.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

Yes. Lots of area for improvement when it comes to UX, UI and design expertise but I am sure as time progresses, they will scale up in these areas as well.

I’m the general manager at Welspun Group, an e-commerce company specializing in home textiles and line pipes.

What challenge were you trying to address with Ambab Infotech?

We needed their help in developing and designing our e-commerce site.

What was the scope of their involvement?

We've initially tasked Ambab Infotech with supporting our site design efforts. They use Magento to work on the backend of our existing e-commerce platform, integrating new functionalities and features that can improve its UX.

As we continue to expand our services by launching new products, we rely on Ambab Infotech to aid our design and development pipelines — they offer a holistic perspective to this ongoing project by additionally taking part in our site management and maintenance efforts.

What is the team composition?

We work with five resources from their team, including a BA and a QA.

I'm not sure how our company ended up onboarding their team, but it could be through a referral.

How much have you invested with them?

We've spent 85 lakhs (approximately $128,000 USD) so far.

What is the status of this engagement?

We kicked off the project in February 2020, and it's ongoing.

Ambab Infotech delivers high-quality results that help streamline our design and development processes. They're able to create tailored solutions in line with our design preferences, and that's one of our success metrics for their work.

We communicate via email and rely on Jira for project management. Ambab Infotech is a reliable partner with upright project management skills.

What did you find most impressive about them?

We're most impressed with their ability to generate creative design solutions.

As I've pointed out before, we can benefit from a more customer-centric approach — we'll appreciate it Ambab Infotech crafts more ideas and suggestions based on what our clients want.

Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m the group CEO of Pharma Online Limited. We are a custom software development company that addresses the needs of the healthcare industry.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

What challenge were you trying to address with Ambab Infotech?

When we started our software development work, we realized that in the western hemisphere, people’s personal health records are usually not with them. They’re accessible to people when they go to a hospital website or a clinic website, but they’re not in their hands. In the case of an emergency,  hospitals are not able to get to people’s records immediately.

We realized that except for two Scandinavian countries, this is the same scenario everywhere. People came to me saying that when they requested the release of their data, they had to pay, and that the format that the data is released in is 200–300 pages, which isn’t good for anybody.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Ambab Infotech developed the mobile application as well as the custom software. I worked with their architecture and design team to design how the program should look and what it should do. Being healthcare data, it’s developed on a GDPR framework. In the US, it’s managed by HIPAA. My program is a combination of both.

The app is built for iOS and Android. I came up with the layout and how it should look based on my 21 years of experience in healthcare. Ambab Infotech gave suggestions and did thorough research outside of my own. After that, They designed and developed my idea, so 80% of the content is mine, but certain enhancements came from Ambab Infotech. 

The law doesn’t allow me to see the health record of a specific individual, so it was important that we just serve as data managers. The program was created so that I can see the users and I can see health records, but I can’t associate them. That’s the key feature of the program. The only people who can associate the records are people on specific levels, like a physician accessing the record or if the patient is looking at it. Everybody else who looks at it from the outside won’t be able to associate a health record with an individual.

We’ve been in the market for 7–8 months. Ambab Infotech fixes flaws right away, and they provide continuous testing.

What is the team composition?

Close to 20 dedicated people are working on the project 24 hours a day since it’s a very complex program. We communicate with a project manager.

How did you come to work with Ambab Infotech?

They were recommended to me by my chairman and partner, who knew them through someone else.

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve invested $500,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together in April 2019, and we continue our partnership.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We’ve been certified by an external company that is authorized for data management. They did all our testing for HIPAA compliance and the GDPR framework. Their deliverables have led to a second project with them. I didn’t even go out into the market to check for another company — I went straight to them.

At the start, people had concerns about the app, but after that, they started using it and realized it’s secure. The program runs on an Odyssey 2048 bit encryption which is the second-highest level of encryption that can be achieved. 

The program is easy to navigate, and the feedback has mentioned that we should be evolving it. We get suggestions on what else we can bring into the program, and based on that feedback, we’ve added those features during the last seven months.

How did Ambab Infotech perform from a project management standpoint?

Project management is a 9–10. They work as a team, and there’s been daily communication for the last two years. There’s not a single day that goes by that I don’t have a conversation with them.

Ambab Infotech keeps giving feedback about how the program is performing, what development stage we’re at, and what we should be looking at. They’re sure about what they’re doing and how they’re doing it. I’ve never struggled with them in terms of things going haywire, and they keep us well informed in advance. If there are roadblocks, they notify us. We communicate via phone calls, email, Slack, Microsoft Teams, and Zoom.

What did you find most impressive about them?

I was initially doubtful about any company I was going to work with. After I started seeing how Ambab Infotech operated, that separated them from competitors. They are right on point and deliver what they commit to. They won’t commit to something they can’t deliver. 

They have a good understanding and a strong commitment level. The research and input they bring to the table are unique, and they continue their research even after we give them specific requirements. They come up with options that we may have been missing, and that’s something I’ve not experienced in my career.

Are there any areas they could improve?

There’s nothing I’d have them improve.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Be sure about what you want. The more interactive you can be, the better results you’ll get from them. Be involved or have a dedicated resource who is continuously working with them since that’s what’s going to give you the best results. If you put in 100% effort, you will receive 150% effort from them. You won’t be disheartened working with Ambab Infotech.

I’m the COO of Experiential Media Pvt Ltd, a retail technology B2B publication. We create both print and digital thought leadership content.

We wanted to create a B2B portal showcasing case studies of the latest retail technologies. We also wanted to host webinar series and virtual events.

What were your goals for this project?

We were aiming to be the most visited website regarding Indian retail technology case studies. 

SOLUTION

How did you select this vendor?

They submitted a good solution document in response to our needs. It had aggressive timelines and laid out a framework for custom development.

Can you go into detail about the services they provided and the scope of the project?

The B2B web portal had to support video case studies and feature an advanced search function that allowed users to find and read a concise proof of concept describing an actual case. We also requested that Ambab build a “solution showcase” section.

Our case study technology partners have individual backends and analytics dashboards that allow them to see who views, likes, comments on, and shares their content. The platform thus becomes a lead generator for our technology company sponsors.

What was the team composition?

We’re working with a project manager, a solution architect, a graphic designer, an HTML designer, four software developers, a QA resource, and a business analyst.

Can you share any information that demonstrates the impact that this project has had on your business?

They completed the portal on time. We reached our target of 2,500 subscribers, and our technology sponsors are happy with the system's features and functionalities.

How was project management arranged and how effective was it?

The project manager and business analyst coordinate with our webmaster and backend team. Their VP of process and I handle any escalations.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

They have strong design, development, and scaling capabilities and offer timely customer service.

They could expand their reporting during progress reviews.

Thanks to their work, we launched the project ahead of time. Planning at the utmost level was critical in decision making.
