I’m a co-founder and CEO of a German consulting company that conceptualizes, designs, and implements enterprise software applications, working mainly on blockchain technology.

What challenge were you trying to address with Block360?

After noticing a new technological trend, we needed a partner to build a product based on two complex technologies to help us actively develop local businesses.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Block360 researched, designed, and implemented a product from our concept based on our Ethereum platform. Engaging embedded systems, they programmed and produced a couple of hardware units. The team continues to release successive software updates.

We worked with seven Block360 team members including a project manager, a solution architect, an embedded system engineer, a frontend designer, a full stack developer, an UI developer, and a JavaScript developer. 

How did you come to work with Block360?

I’d met the CEO of Block360 while working for the same company. After we’d both left, we began our current collaboration as I knew they were a transparent and reliable partner.

This project cost between $25,000–$50,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together in October 2018, and the collaboration is ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Our collaboration with Block360 allowed us to expedite the sales cycle. Producing high-quality software and hardware to present, they helped us stimulate local business development. The quality of software positions us well in the competitive market.

How did Block360 perform from a project management standpoint?

We used Trello, phone and email for communication which allowed us to stay lean and effective. Their communication was impeccable. Despite the project’s complexity, Block360 moved quickly through the implementation phase. The team was responsive, incorporating market feedback into software updates. They were transparent when making decisions on technical design and implementation, and project tracking.

What did you find most impressive about them?

The team was able to transform a non-technical description into a high-quality, technical product. While remaining competitive in their pricing, Block360 implemented the products quickly.

They analyzed our requirements and outlined a networking solution. Then, we identified any aspects that needed to be adjusted to meet our objectives. 

They developed the network and provided consulting services as well. Technologies used include Ethereum, associated programs, and smart contracts.

Our main contact point was the owner, and we also worked with a project manager and a programmer.

They had worked with one of our former partners. We got in touch with Block360 through employees at that company, and we had a good impression of the team.

We’ve invested between $50,000 and $200,000 with Block360.

We started working together in December 2018, and the partnership is ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Stakeholders are pleased with the product—it works very well. There haven’t been any errors or hiccups regarding solution maintenance. Since the first product was successfully developed, we’ve begun working with them on other projects.

How did Block360 perform from a project management standpoint?

Their project management is excellent. They are very fast at responding no matter what time of day it is. The process was so smooth that we didn’t feel the need to use our project management software. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

Block360 contributed valuable information we didn’t have internally. They have a deep understanding of relevant technologies, and they took a proactive approach to problem solving.

Are there any areas they could improve?

They should continue working the way they do now.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Future clients should make sure internal stakeholders are in alignment with the team on all specifications.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Block360 successfully delivered a proof of concept of the blockchain we wanted to show potential users and investors. They've been instrumental in helping our company reach new stages. Overall, I'm very satisfied with the quality of their work thus far.

How did Block360 perform from a project management standpoint?

We communicate regularly over Skype. Considering their distant location from us, they've been very responsive and manage projects well.
